Instead of saying my usual, another place I've never been yet...I've started a places to visit list for when I retire! 🤣👍 I only swore once watching this & pretty early on when the van who surely knew he had 2 bikes behind him, cut out when only 1 had passed him! 🤬😜👍
Yeah, there are so many places I have on my list I'm gonna need a few lives to see them all I reckon. As for the van, I kinda knew he wanted to go so I let him take the chance... It is easier for me to get another chance so when I saw his indicator come on, I thought OK, let him go.... Luckily the road stayed clear and I got by everything and him anyway 😂 so alls well that ends well 🤣 👍🏻
I haven't seen many of these bridges and think this is only the second I've watched in action, so I was glad I caught it. There are 6 swing style bridges on the Crinan Canal. I think 11 locks total... Maybe one day I'll walk the tow path and check them all out.
Hi Sammy, thanks for sharing this ride out on what seemed like a good day for it. It was great to see the old swivel bridge working, there's one similar up in Inverness across the Caledonian canal. It's a pity they haven't given it a lick of paint in quite some time, "a stitch in time saves nine" as they say.

Clever stuff them swing bridges. Lovely part of the ride by the look of it, and none of that typical weather for up there.

Yeah it was a half decent day for weather that day. We got lucky timing wise for the bridge.. It was great to watch it and the boats.
