You can stay in your house and breed up some animals, go to alternate dimensions and slay difficult bosses, create massive world eating machines made of redstone, or just have fun killing your friends in PvP. Minecraft is about creating anything that your ambition allows.

I was thinking that too at at first, but I can only imagine how much chat was backseatting and dictating him to do things a certain way instead of letting him learn on his own. At the same time though I think MC might just too slow and too much of a learning curve for Charlie to really get into. That was an issue I had with MC for a long time too.

this, looking back at the video it would be better if charlie just got off of the competitive mindset trying to "speedrun" a game he doesnt even know i know hes really into speedrunning old games like halo or some trash steam game but minecraft isnt one of those games he needed to take his time with it and not take everything chat said so seriously, the main reason people like dream are even able to speedrun the game is because they main the game and have made multiple series of videos exploring and learning new tricks but charlie never sticks to one game minecraft is not a hard game it just takes time to learn, time which charlie is probably never going to put into it off the top of my head the best example of someone who did it right was pewdiepie, felix has the perfect mindset for minecraft and you can even see it in his first video of the series he made

@sydefx I don't think the game is neccesarily the problem, Minecraft is actually quite interesting to watch in my opinion, the problem is Charlie wasn't very compatible with game i guess, and his incompatibility with the game paired with the shitty chat made a shitty stream. To be brutally honest though, a lot of Charlie's streams are boring because he doesn't seem able to bring up the mood, I feel like I am just watching a guy play a game instead of a streamer playing a game. He thinks Minecraft is like Doom, a game where you kill monsters in order to get to the boss and he couldn't be more wrong. He could choose a different way of playing minecraft if he knew that he can. He thought that Killing the Ender dragon and other bosses is all that matters but that's just SO wrong. Killing the Ender Dragon is just a bonus for people who play Minecraft for a long time. He is still a real man, it's not his fault he doesn't understand that game. Minecraft lets you do whatever you want and Charlie thought that it forces him to do something he doesn't want. It's kind of a paradox. It's because he is so used to games being linear that he made Minecraft, a game that let's you do whatever you want, linear for himself. It's fascinating really. So don't doubt his manliness. He's just a victim of this paradox. Maybe one day he will understand that there isn't any "path" or pre-established ,,journey" in minecraft, but that it is a world where you can do ANYTHING you have fun with.

Yeah, I play bedrock because it runs better on my pc, I don’t need to give my IP address to allow my friends to join, and my friends don’t have to play on a pc because they don’t have one. But my friends now all have PCs so hopefully they will get Java because one of them is planning on making a server and IMO if they make a server it should be for Java edition because bedrock has a good multiplayer system already so there would be no point in getting it for bedrock.

@sydefx I don't think the game is neccesarily the problem, Minecraft is actually quite interesting to watch in my opinion, the problem is Charlie wasn't very compatible with game i guess, and his incompatibility with the game paired with the shitty chat made a shitty stream.
To be brutally honest though, a lot of Charlie's streams are boring because he doesn't seem able to bring up the mood, I feel like I am just watching a guy play a game instead of a streamer playing a game. I like Charlie as a person, of course, but I have a hard time watching his streams. They are just not for me I guess.

Also he had the worst luck, he missed a village, he couldn’t find diamonds he got into no real dangerous situations until the end. The entire point of minecraft is to play however you want you can set ur own goals and find ur own fun but with everyone bossing him around he didn’t get a second to enjoy minecraft in his own way and it’s all because a group of nine yr olds were arguing with each other about witch way is the best way.

How can a real man such as Charlie not atleast appreciate it, he has to play it more. You can’t just go through it with the basic strat acting like you hate it the entire time and expect to be impressed.
He did try to appreciate it and he didn't hate it all the way from the beginning. He STRONGLY misunderstood Minecraft. He just doesn't understand HOW to have his Fun in Minecraft.
At the beginning he literally asks ,,Where is the story-mode". And he thinks that monsters are the main focus of the game while in reality you don't see monsters 75 % of gameplay.
He thinks Minecraft is like Doom, a game where you kill monsters in order to get to the boss and he couldn't be more wrong. He could choose a different way of playing minecraft if he knew that he can. He thought that Killing the Ender dragon and other bosses is all that matters but that's just SO wrong. Killing the Ender Dragon is just a bonus for people who play Minecraft for a long time.
He is still a real man, it's not his fault he doesn't understand that game. Minecraft lets you do whatever you want and Charlie thought that it forces him to do something he doesn't want. It's kind of a paradox. It's because he is so used to games being linear that he made Minecraft, a game that let's you do whatever you want, linear for himself. It's fascinating really.
So don't doubt his manliness. He's just a victim of this paradox. Maybe one day he will understand that there isn't any "path" or pre-established ,,journey" in minecraft, but that it is a world where you can do ANYTHING you have fun with.

Its a multiplayer game id say simply because you cant play minecraft for longer than two weeks and not get bored of it unless you multiplayer. Its a game with not much to do but everything to do at the same time. Its just gets boring really quickly as solo player I feel like. Atleast as grown adult with working brain the game is just too easy even on hardmode. And the warden thats now in the game is also a step in the wrong direction. We need more bosses to work towards like enderdragon and wither. Not tanky mobs that two shot everyone wout op gear... In general most of minecrafts joy feels like it comes from

Yeah, I play bedrock because it runs better on my pc, I don’t need to give my IP address to allow my friends to join, and my friends don’t have to play on a pc because they don’t have one. But my friends now all have PCs so hopefully they will get Java because one of them is planning on making a server and IMO if they make a server it should be for Java edition because bedrock has a good multiplayer system already so there would be no point in getting it for bedrock.
