It's a showdown that's been brewing in my mind ever since I put the DeMan GT3 on consignment at Zweck. The heart-stopping question I'm grappling with is whether letting go of the DeMan GT3, a rare beast with over 600 horsepower, was the right move, or if it's time to bring it back into the fold.

100% agree on all points. Once you drive them back to back the differences are palpable. Specially the clutch, shifter and steering in the 997 gt3 rs vs the torque in the 991.2 gt3 is a big difference.

Real tough call - all of your cars are legendary. If I was in your position, I would keep your favorite current Porsche and sell everything else to get a CGT. Because the CGT would be the best however you wouldn't want to drive it everyday - keep the one Porsche that you don't mind driving a lot. I think the best solution is to keep the GT4RS, send it to Rick Deman, get rid of everything else and buy a CGT.
That’s what I’m thinking about doing. Just don’t think I’m quite there financially. Soon. But the 4RS is peak as is. I don’t think the DeMan upgrade would suit a PdK car as much as a manual

@@MiamiMilesit’s on 718 gt4 4.0. Lightweight flywheel, gears, diff and motor. Only done on the 4.0 motors. It’s straight piped right now and way too loud. Waiting on the catted headers and I’m going to change the oil and should be ready to fully rock and roll. 600 hp and 480 tq

@@MiamiMilesno. Just got the car back a few weeks ago. Breaking in the motor. Do you feel like they dialed it in better. In Orlando so wouldn’t be too much of an issue to get it tuned with them.

For me is the biggest disadvantage of the 997 the old interior, I would rather have old school one like 964 then this. The 991.2 is simply perfect, all functions and not so futuristic like in 992.

You’re right! I want to sell it because if I don’t, I have to pay $13k in taxes. It was a mistake to put it on consignment in the first place in exchange for the Ferrari. But now we’re here 🥹 I spent a bunch of money to get rid of my favorite car. I’m so smart 😅

at 10min 25sec, I think you gave an incorrect weight on 997.2 GT3RS. It is not 3,250 lbs, but rather more like 3,020 lbs. More like 200 + lbs lighter than the 991.2 GT3 (esp w/ sofa seats)
Nope. That was the weight on a scale 😀 it’s much heavier than stated by Porsche.
Very strange because I have a 997.2 GT3 and put it on my local CAT scale, and it came in spot on at 3,030 lbs.
Maybe you should try a different scale.
