They are all awesome but the one guy was a good example of how conditioned we are in modern society and separated from Our higher nature when He said "I think You're inhumane if You eat those baby turtles" . In what way is it inhumane? They were already dead and its true to native ideology that You dont waste any part of the animal. Especially when You didnt even have to kill it, it was already dead, why not eat it? Yet they will barbarically kill any other animal they find on the island, maybe even stabbing its head or slicing its throat. Who cares if an animal is cute or more majestic than the others, if You eat meat, its the same thing.

I also have a sneaking feeling they weren't actually allowed to overhunt the croc's. It's a small island so there isn't going to be hundreds of them and overhunting them would very quickly destabilize the eco-system of the island itself so my thoughts are they were only allowed to kill one.

Heard about this series for years, just finish watching the whole season 2, I'm going to admit I skip the ladies after the painful EP 1. But these men have my absolute respect, see a man tough crying when listening to the voice of his wife, seeing a man take the life of a pig and hugging each other without prejudice of being weird or gay it's heartwarming and beautiful, seeing then rising the camp flag was the highest point for me, because when you name something it's because you truly feel like that belongs to you and I know even tho they know the island doesn't belong to them the camp and the moment did, If I ever manage to live moments like this with men like those I would 100% try to create some kind of annual meeting, so we can keep in contact because every single of these men deserve my respect.
You have to remember even tho the show doesn't keep showing and talking about it, can you imagine the feeling of every single day for 2 months, walking miles and having to boil your water, spending sometimes 1 week without proper food other them a handful of snails, crabs and coconuts. Having to shit in the ocean without a proper bath, soap, towels, clean clothing, because since they are in the beach in the wild the clean clothing must smell and be a pile of sand and ants, having to spend sometimes hours cutting wood with a machete. As someone who had to cut wood with an axe, it's hard. Wood is way tougher them looks like and having to keep the machete sharp, sleeping to cover head to toe because of insects and having pretty much zero protection against the elements, also having to ignore insect bites, paying attention to every step to avoid stepping in something that can and will kill you and the most important having to do that with 13 people you don't know about each one with a different personality, mood, limit and ideology.
Great series, I'm for sure look to see season 1 and 3 and beyond since I know there are like 6 season of this masterfully crafted show, even tho sometimes they clearly are trying to create chaos by mixing and matching different scenes, several times and can see that people look different between arguments showing that they spend several days and weeks with the same problem
The only sad things it's the fact that Bear Grylls didn't acknowledge the camp name and flag, disappointing, he had one job

Great series! I loved seeing these individuals grow themselves and as a group. Gives me hope for humanity in general. Doing a separation of men and women on the same type of island was very interesting. The group dynamics were fun to watch. I always learn a lot from these survival shows. Having the camera people there to participate with these teams is the way to go for sure. Makes it all seem more realistic. Thanks Bear! Keep up the good work!

Women spend almost a week wondering around in circles. (Then blame a man, Bear Grylls) and clearly get help, then continue to not learn from their mistakes. (Men spend half a night seperated (twice the distance the women were) and find their way back within hours, and admit their mistakes and find a way of improving. The difference is epic

19:17 Now, that's a hell of a lot of artificial light as for the middle of a night on an island with no electricity.
In the first episodes they were using infra red to shoot during the night.
After a month, a miracle: they must have found a reflector on the beach (with fully charged batteries)! I guess thats what shinig at 19:25 and not the full moon as it's been suggested 🤣.

I was thinking about previous episodes, that how come that those piglets got so close to the women, and then how come they could so easily catch one while sleeping.
And then I just realized they have floppy ears which makes perfect sense since these pig could only habit these islands if their ancestors were brought there by humans. It was common in the 18-19th century that sailors (especially whale hunters) to set domesticated pigs free on uninhabited islands so when they sail back they can hunt for supplies on these islands.
Since these pigs must be there just a few centuries, they don't have any natural predators, at least not on the drier parts of the island where they can rest without any concern. They are simply not used to be hunted down at those specific points of the island that is why it's easy to catch them.
If they were European wild hogs, their only chance would be a coordinated chase hunt where they try to corner them, and at the and they hut it down with long spears... and of course this would be extremely dangerous. There are a few historical person, who died during such hunts.

It's really funny when you google the locations of these places and you can truly see how much of the show was set up. Isla San Telmo near Panama is the location for the men and is a NATURE RESERVE so they wouldn't have been able to destroy the ecosystem anymore than they would have wanted too. From what I can tell though, Pigs might actually be now native to these islands thanks to them being left over from long ago inhabitants.
