I didn't notice this but the type of fusion attack are based off the character and on what can be considered a flaw. Shiki is a matching game since she is not matching with her body. Joshua a counting game since the whole story more or less followed his script with the cards flipping over allowing some chance for something different to happen. With Beat the cards are fully faced up not scared of facing reality and lack of care or brain in getting what he wants by removing a card. You could say the fact it is card games is based on Neku as well since at first he dosn't understand people thus all the cards are face down then he starts to understand for why they flip over randomly while with Beat he understand him(possibly since how simple minded he is).

The fusion pins didn't require any input once they were available. They added the stuff you see in this video in the solo remix to make up for the whole 'card' concept being removed since the second screen isn't available on mobile.

In DS you have to control both characters and you take damage from both character, one on each screen. In DS version you control your partner, tip screen, with the D pad or abxy for left hand. You start with left or right telling them kinda which side to attack. Then once you start a combo different path of attack open up like spam right right right or right up right right or right down right right. Each combo result Ina different card for their mechanic. Shiki is matching the right card to the top of the screen first try is blind and then you see what it is if you get it wrong. Bonus synch if you get it right first guess. Joshua is number so equal, less then, greater than. And beats is like forming poker hands I belive.
Played twewy final remix on switch and only got the 1st level of fusion attacks. I only realized there were multiple levels of fusion attacks when I got to the final boss... still fun to see how cool these look

Great Question! Answer: When you do Beat's Fusion Attacks, you have to match the deck of cards like two yellow diamonds with skulls on it. Then if you keep matching them up before the fusion attack starts, you have greater damage on these noises to defeat them. And each fusion attack has a different fusion attack animation and sayings that Beat says in the game. Sync rate goes to 100%, 200%, and 300% is the maximum sync rate that can go up to. That is by attacking the noises constantly in order to get more sync rate within the fusion attacks to start.
Waiiit, isn't the Shiki one the hardest? I only played the NDS one and is easier to pull these (there aren't minigames) but Shiki's one in here seems hard to get I watched the video in 144p but I doubt HD will make this easier, they were so fast, Joshua's one seems like the easiest, Beat's seems too RNG based.
I'm kinda confused because I only played the DS version How do you start the minigame for the fusion attack? Also, do you still have to buy the level 2 and 3 of them like an item in stores?
Once you get to a 100% sync rate then you do the first fusion attack and you have to buy them as upgrades in the stores in the game to level up the syncing rate to do more attacking on the enemies.

Yeah, each fusion attack is different power due to its sync rate and in the anime, it’s a bit different actually.

yeah idk, with the switch your a bit slow cuz you have to use motion controls. But with tapping its much more faster to get higher atk and drop rates

I only played Solo Remix and man, this minigames are not designed for joycons in mind for how slow you have to click on the cards.
