Beautiful countryside! Where you are looks a lot like where we like to go in Ontario, Canada. Moss like that hanging from the trees is a good indicator of low levels of air pollution. Which is probably why it feels like even my spirit can breathe easier in the woods. Great video, thanks Steve and Charlie.
Hello Tiana never thought of air pollution so that could be a good indicator the air is clean, nice. We need good comments like that to make us all understand bits and pieces of nature so thanks for that. A very peaceful Bothy to stay at and surrounded by nature. Steve 👍
Hi Steve, Hi Charlie, absolutely beautiful, what a place. Just amazing that little house in that little clearing in the woods. You’re so lucky in Scotland to have Bothy’s to go to, down here we don’t have many at all. Thank you for sharing this next instalment of your wonderful adventure. All the best, Dave 😀🥾⛰🏕️🏴🏴
Cheers Dave Yeah i agree we do have some fantastic bothies, probably down top the many small farming communities that have reduced the staff over the years and that frees up small crofts and building in a sad way i must say. The Mountain Bothies Association do a great job with getting them and maintaining them. Maybe one day it may become a more common thing in England. You are welcome to do a bothy tour up this way and tick a few off they are all free to use. Thanks again for the great feedback. Steve 👍
Just come across your channel and subbed. Really lovely to see these bothies and the incredible countryside. I hope to visit Scotland later in the year and these videos are giving me great information and inspiration. Also, how lovely to see you out with your daughter who clearly very much enjoys it too. I look forward to seeing more videos and going through your past ones. Thanks!
Well hello and thank you for finding the channel and for the sub. We do have some amazing Bothies here, Resourie was a bit of a drive with single track roads and passing places so pretty remote to get to by car but when you park up it really not a bad walk to get there. So much wood to keep the fire going if you were wet and get dried so definitely no need to take anything with you. If you get there you will love it so make a couple of days of it and enjoy the remoteness and peace. The other bothy videos may make you do a full week of Adventures. Thank you again Steve 👍
Perchance do you remember whether there was a good saw/axe in the Bothy? I'll be schlepping in from Glenfinnan and knowing would save me having tae carry it in over the hills
Yeah there is a couple of saws in that bothy, the usual though that they will probably have had many uses so may not be the best. Loads of wood on the forest floor. Its a great Bothy so hope you have a great time. Steve. 👍
Sending good positive vibes to you my friend, the 3rd video that will be out soon will bring some relaxation to you and slow things down. Heads up its a beautiful remote beach camp. I can say that things will get better and become a lot calmer for you. Steve 👍
@@Campingonthewildsidescotland many thanks steve. there is a bothy near me in balmedie but i get really nervous when doing solo camps and i hope you are right. always been interested in beach camping so will look forward to that as there is a lovely beach near me
@@SuperEarther might be worth just checking out a quiet remote kind of beach, that will help keep your nerves down. Its only natural to be nervous and anxious so don't feel you are alone here. No rush to do it, just take your time and let your body and mind tell you when its right to do so. I have been working on the 3rd day beach camp so i will schedule it for this week so you can see how relaxing, de stressing and magical it can be. Steve 👍
This little bothy is in the remote woodlands just 10 miles north of the village of Strontian. The roads and very narrow with passing places. A lovely bothy to stay at and amongst nature. Steve 👍
Hello thanks for the comment, i am rather out of touch with that area in the UK but i am sure other here may comment but well worth checking out facebook groups and pages for the exact area you are looking for. If i find something i will be sure to let you know here. Steve 👍
