Dang! I'm gonna start introducing myself as Lamond "smokin" Sutherland now haha. Keep on sharing my friend. It may not feel like it most of the time, but there are those of us who sincerely want to see your creations come to fruition.
Thanks for your awesome contribution my friend! And for the kind words as well. You put in a really awesome performance again, and it's such a pleasure to work with you.
Hey! I've missed you in the comments lately. Hope you're doing well! And thank you kindly for the very nice words, and for the support. I appreciate it a bunch.
Hey Filip, it’s been a while! It’s Ami, previously known as Oscar from Needs More Cowbell. I’ve been gone for some time, I’ve been through an awful lot in the last 9 months, my transition affected my life an awful lot, and as I grappled with my new life I really struggled, and I ended up purging most of my presence from the internet in an attempt to gain some semblance of control, which I immediately regretted, although I do have all my old videos backed up. Several times I’ve thought about commenting on your channel again but the regret and pain was overwhelming. I’m definitely still battling through it all but tonight I took the first steps to healing by reuploading my album to Spotify and have begun writing and editing again. I don’t know if I’ll return to the internet in the same way, but I’m working on it. I thought of you and am so pleased to come back to your channel and see how well it is doing. I can’t wait to hear your new album, and I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark for so long. I truly wish you all the best with the record and will happily be in your comment section again, if you’ll have me. Your old friend, Ami
Hi Ami! Thank you for the nice words, and for returning to the channel. I wondered many times what happened and how you were doing. I'm sorry to hear you made decisions that you immediately regretted, and I can only imagine how difficult things must have been. You are of course welcome here any time, and I'd be happy to have you. Do you still play music?
@@heitstrengningmusic I haven’t played music in a while, but I’m slowly getting back to repairing my relationship with music. Trying to listen to the music I used to love and watching videos and films about music that inspire me. I’ll pickup my bass again when I’m ready, no doubt. I hope you’ve been well these past 9 months?
@@AmiQ99 I hope so. There's so much healing power in music, as you're well aware of course. But it sounds wise to let things take their time and not force anything either. I've been well, thank you. It's the usual struggle of finding enough time to keep momentum going here.
Impressive 3 songs out already. An acquired taste, but has some great parts in there. Very dynamic! Parts reminded me a little of Leprous, but this is completely its own thing. Good luck on the album!
Thank you! Yeah, I totally understand if it's not everyone's cup of tea but I made an early decision to kind of go all in on this first release. If I have any listeners still with me after that, I know that they are hardcore haha. Leprous.. that's interesting. I'm definitely not as good with rhythm and time signatures as those guys haha. Thanks a lot, and thanks for checking out more videos. I really appreciate that.
@@heitstrengningmusic That's it! You have to make the music YOU want. That's the only way. And others will follow, because it's pure. I like the Hollow best out of the three. I will keep following your progression! I will also watch more videos. I like your style. Don't get me wrong, but they have a Jonna Jinton feel to them, but for metal/guys. Hope I don't offend you with this.
@@DEADLINETV I completely agree, but it's still hard sometimes to figure out what is what. Like, ego vs the song. Authenticity vs a need to impress other musicians. Trying to keep the listener in mind vs challenging them with a bunch of self indulgent stuff that really doesn't serve the song. Etc etc. Thank you! That means a lot to me. And no, you definitely don't offend me with the Jonna comparison. It's quite on point actually since we live rather close to each other and I think her stuff is incredible. If anything, I'll happily take this haha.
@@heitstrengningmusic well keep that Jonna vibe going then so! No problem! And my luck is, I guess, I'm a drummer, so no-one actually expects anything from a drummer! Music-wise that is. 😂
@@DEADLINETV I'll do my best! Haha, I guess you're the underdog in that sense! And btw, you're a great drummer! I've watched quite a few of your videos.

As you should! Thanks man, that means a lot.
The solo was top notch. Really great job!
Solo was great man!
@@sloenmusic Thanks man!
I listened last night and to all involved, what an awesome creation! Bravo 👏
Thanks for allowing me to be a small part in this song. Outstanding job! Looking forward to the rest of the album!

The first was very good (IMO) and they just keep getting better. I love it. Well done !
