A 76-pound flathead catfish literally feeds on fish and will eat a 10-pound bass in a single bite. We bass fishermen always think Bass is the main top predator but that is not true. I think those who fish all know that Bartlet is a small fish lake and a Bass tournament limit of 2.5-pound 5-fish bag can put you on the winning side of a tournament any time of the year. It is a great fishery for numbers but not size. The Crappie population is historically the same maxing out a 1-1/4Pound being amazing. While other lakes like Rosevelt a 2.5-pound crappie and Large Bass in the 6 to 9-pound range and an occasional double-digit is still possible.
