Box ships within 2 - 4 days of ordering. This is the Escape the Witch Trials box. Ages 10+ Play solo or with a small group (up to 6 people). Each box is a complete game. Takes 2 - 3 hours to complete. Their boxes all take place in the fictional town of Valley Falls. To date, they have created over eighty mysteries, three books, and several mini-mystery experiences that are all set in this nasty little corner of the world. On the surface Valley Falls is a quaint, picture-postcard type of town. But, when you pull back the curtain, there are some very sinister elements lurking there. On the upside, because of the high murder rate, real estate prices in Valley Falls are always reasonable, and it's easy to find housing. #escaperoom #escapethecrate #escaperoomchallenge #escaperoomfun
I think the wires got crossed on your info about this game...that whole paragraph about Valley Falls, the books and mini series is about Deadbolt Mystery Society not Escape the Crate.
I played this game, the Halloween crate. Read the directions. Don't open the envelopes until told to do so. I copied the cut outs, I was trying to keep it in good shape, and available for someone else to play. I would get some page protectors and a dry-erase marker. I also used markers, (scrabble letters,) when I didn't want to use the page protectors. One problem we found was the connection to the internet. Get a notebook or have paper to write down the passwords. This is in case you stop for the night and have to start over again, (re-entering the passwords.)
I'm glad it had two options because I wouldn't have done the witchcraft one. Looks like fun. Do you have to do a subscription with this one, or can you order just one box to try? His yes I do to start drinking at 10am with the next box. Hilarious. Enjoy your day!
Just as an FYI, Valley Falls, the novels, mini series, etc. is actually all a Deadbolt Mystery Society box thing, not Escape the Crate. You may have mixed them up. They are not related or the same company. I think CrateJoy may have sent you the wrong info as that has nothing to do with Escape the Crate. I’ve played all the Deadbolt Mystery Games and recommend them, though.
I have several cratejoy murder mystery in a boxes and we had friends over two weeks ago and got really into it until we went to the site the game pointed us to and it was down, so we couldn't get the rest of the clues or find out who committed the murder.. emailed the company nothing but a generic reply and FAQ's that are super generic.. what a bummer... I found your awesome youtube and now a new fan.. I know this company isn't you or connected to you, thought maybe you might have a suggestion? I have emailed several times with no reply. (checking out the deadbolt mystery boxes)
Oh man, that is not cool. Let me see if I have an email or POC, this video is from about a year ago so I'm not sure if I do. I am glad you found me though. Welcome to TPE!
My sister and her husband have two boys. 10 and 8. They are both gifted and above average intelligence. Do you think this box would be something for the family or too old for them?
So they recommend ages 10 and up but if they are doing it together, have great reading skills, and know how to use a computer (or device of any type really) , they will do great!

Love how they have the 2 different options so that if you're not comfortable with the more spooky stuff / want to play with kids you can. HOW COOL!
lots more fun then unplugging a toilet at 7am .... thanks for the good vibes

So you have to have a team no way to play solo?
