I arrived to this concert while searching for Maxim Vengerov’s videos and thank the internet I found this! It’s the perfect interpretation of this concert!!! The soloist are all amazing as if the conductor!
Great! The tone and volume of the four violins, and the attitude of facing the music of the four violinists are perfectly aligned. And the conductor's eyes are attentive to all of the music.
Seeing these masters performing in such a cohesion makes me think thus: If the political leaders of the world perform together in a similar way, there will be joy in the world, similar to the joy that is obtained from this concerto.
Yes. Vivaldi is known for using his themes in various other pieces, mainly his operas. The opening bars Spring and Winter are used in many of his pieces.
violin 1 played spring, 2 played winter, 3 i'm assuming summer? (correct me if im wrong) and 4 played autumn, i was surprised that i actually got the reference
Without a doubt this is the best version of this concert. Far from those pseudo-baroque rubbish like Il Giardino Armonico, Europa Galante, etc. And I say it because it is one of my favorite works, I am a violinist, I have listened to hundreds of versions.
Maestro Zobin is our conductor for 50 years He is a genius we respect him in Israel as the authority in his field- Master conductor India is his first family and Israel is another
Keep them fingers warm everybody, briefly we walk free to enjoy such awesome performances alive again, never let bad guys win to screw us the joy of life fans, this is heavenly delight, our best anti aging medication we need the most, never stop believe in fans
Bringing all the fantastic violinists of the century makes me want to pee in my pants instead of hitting the pause button and going to bathroom!!!👍👍👍👌😍❤️✅👂
Somehow this tempo seems the right one to me. Some interpretations do it too fast for me. Could it be that I’m too used to the version of Bach? Playing on a keyboard can’t go as fast as playing on a violin. Vivaldi chose a very fast tempo on purpose because his original composition was made for violins?
No...this is rather a modernized style. If you are looking for the one that sounds nearest to what it was written for and from, the original baroque style, then listen to Giardino Armonico's.
@@psychojiro3439 I like that the HIP school use different tuning and gut string instruments. I like their tempo choices and use of vibrato but I am incredibly tired of the improvization and liberties they take with compositions. Because sometimes it really muddles the composition.
Do you, diletantti, realize why our Father JS BACH admired Vivaldi? If Unseren Vater made transcriptions on pieces composed by "Il Prete Rosso" he certainly knew it was quite worthy.
I was under the impression that vivaldi captured more nature, romance, drama, and emotion in his work than Bach, who more created perfection through the music in and of itself, with mathematics, patterns, more reflecting the fabric of nature rather than nature itself
From left to right ;
Shlomo Mintz , Gil Shaham , Menahem Breuer , Maxim Vengerov
From right to left ,
Master , Master , Master , Master !!!!
Thank you for that. It is a benefit to know who is playing. Thanks again.
Wow! Seeing this many masters in one place performing together.. we are all so lucky.
ofcourse cant you see its in tel aviv.. people there can afford it
When Vengerov plays, his heart and soul can be heard.
11:01 LOL I love how Shlomo jumps to the G string for no reason other than he can.
Mintz's bowing technique is so perfect and smooth. That is mastery.
Hmmm.....Not bad....
Just kidding!
:)
Listen to it these days though. The bow might be parallel to the strings... but by goodness he scratches away at his violin!!
One unique Vivaldi is here together with 16 strings, 4 violins, 5 real pure musicians and a beautiful cooperate orchestra
Shlomo Mintz - "Vesuvius" - Stradivarius violin.
Gil Shaham - "Comtesse de Polignac" - Stradivarius violin
Menahem Breuer - Unknown
Maxim Vengerov - "ex-Kreutzer" - Stradivarius violin.
Found in Hebrew article that he play Messiah Stradivarius . No other mention .

Wow this crowd is so blessed. 4 masters sharing a stage like this is so rare.

Probably the best performance of this on TH-cam...
Surely the best!

They're like the avengers, so epic earing such awesome masters playing all together
The ultimate show of beauty through fundamentals! No hiding behind big slides or fancy entrances
Vivaldi is a Genius but that such a Tiny Nation produces so many fantastic interpreters is an astonishing wonder

Nice use of using the four seasons with cadenzas at 7:12

The Bach transcription for 4 harpsichords is also WONDERFUL.
Great to see the maestro piece.
Belleza absoluta.

Beautiful ! Thank you for posting !
muy buen registro de este Vivaldi
7:22 Vengerov being Vengerov
A.Krishna, he was just 23 there...It’s not an easy thing to handle success at this age. Having said that, Shlomo Mintz didn’t look very happy lol
Maxim Vengerov is one of the best violinist of our time

you have to mention shlomo mintz on the title
Shaham and Vengerov were charming then.
Bravo
Great recording!
You do know that this is 4 violins concert, and yes you have the name in description box but you are missing Mintz in the title.
Maybe there was a reason for it? He has alienated more friends than I can count.
The photographer was on point
