My brother, neither glue nor fasteners will work on end grain. If the legs areas long as the are wide, flip them and screw into the face grain. But I like your idea.
I appreciate your input. Though I am a beginner, however, I've had zero issues with it, with an 85lb dog and myself 180lb, that jump on it and it's been over a year. It's stronger and sturdier than ever :)

@steverochon1620 For sure, you're all good. I appreciate it...I'm not a woodworker by trade, I have ideas and build it by winging it. I am good with physics though and this build hasn't budged since day one.
