- This week we take to the rails at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Heritage Railway, on a family day out. Showcases what you can do with just a phone. Home to the adventurous subscriber. As well as films we have a bi-weekly Vlog to keep up to date on the previous and next week’s videos, and a chance for all to air their views on a variety of subjects, why not join in. My passion has been walking, a while ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and walking does not come naturally any more, however the more I walk the easier it gets, for now anyway. I hope these videos will inspire others to keep going and hanging on in there. I try to cover variety of subjects, such as old abandoned railways, and canals. I love the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, with its rich history and I usually take my camera whenever we holiday in the southwest and Cornwall. The rugged coastal paths are a magnet for anyone who loves dramatic scenery. I live close to the Cotswolds Hills and have done quite a lot of walking around there, recently, following some of the lovely rivers. Hill walking on the Malvern’s is a challenge but worth the effort. I try not to let Parkinson’s get me down and take every opportunity to get out with my camera and film, I hope you enjoy watching. Well I'm back home this afternoon, I had a wander up on the hill yesterday afternoon and revisited Fort Purbrook where my father took me as a little boy to explore, back then it was abandoned and derelict today it has been repurposed into an activity centre. A trip down memory lane!!

Hi Ron, sorry for the late submission, the dog ate my homework.This is one of your nicest videos, you have a wonderful growing family, thanks for sharing it with us. The trains were nice too! Actually, the reason I'm tardy is we had a rowing regatta in Buffalo. I had to get up at 3:15 a.m. to get to school, loaded the bus with sleepy kids and get across the border for the first race at 9 o'clock. I'm still recovering. Get out and enjoy the sun Ron, I have a late start tomorrow and I'm sleepin' in. James

What a sweet voice your grand daughter Lou has! Lovely shots of various locomotives on the day and don't you just love those old enamel signs. Takes me right back to my childhood. Thanks for taking us along. Its a railway I'd love to live closer to, although I did pay a visit to the Watercress line last week, which is in my area .

Good afternoon Ron and thank you for today's film. Your granddaughter certainly has great talent and her beautiful song complimented the film wonderfully. I always enjoy a trip on the GWR; they are certainly now one of the premier heritage railways in the country, up there with the Severn Valley, Bluebell etc. The length of the railway, superb detail in every area and friendliness of the staff make for a fantastic experience.
I've finally had one or two birds visit the bird table, but it's not exactly a major tourist destination for them! I think the 12.5kg sack of bird seed that I bought will be around for longer than I will be 🤣😅. Have a great week Ron and best wishes to you, Pauline and the rest of the PW family. Regards Trev
