The 3link/Watts I designed/installed in my '69 442 changed the driving dynamics of the car to something very special. I initially tried to design a bolt in solution, but due to time constraints(I wanted to be ready to roll in the spring), I went brute force and welded it all in. fine by me though, because this car is amazing now and I'll never go back. Being able to change the rear rollcenter in 3 minutes to shift over/understeer is great on track. Antisquat changes(although less frequent) help me coming out of corners and into braking zones, and the rear end no longer shifts side to side when I dive into a corner. Genuinely can't wait to see the products you come up with Pat, good luck man. BTW, the Wilwood manual pedals I installed from GPE last fall were amazing.
Agreed. There are immense benefits with the 3 link so I’m really hoping we can get it all on the car before the season starts. And thank you! Glad to hear the pedals are working out well!
It looks like 2024 will be an exciting and busy year for you. I'm looking forward to your updates. My 1970 Cutlass is progressing slowly. Good to hear from you. Happy New Year!
Awesome to hear of your success! May fortune be on your side in 2024. I love seeing another protouring 442. I should be finishing up my 72 in the summer. It’s got a spec chassis and stock ls3 but can’t wait to just drive it. It’s been 5 years in the making.
My 70 442 frame swap is completed and your alum bushing kit worked flawlessly. Thanks for making that set up. There are a couple of vid/slide shows on my channel
@@TheOldsmobeast You run coil overs, did you have to get a heavy/stronger spring on front with the 455? I have the Big Block option springs with the speedtech road assault kit I didnt see any specs though
@@censored1360 I run stiffer springs now than ever before but thats more to do with general car setup than an engine specific change. None of the springs included in off the shelf kits are suitable for hardcore handling/track use
I'm hoping to see you do some tech tips, show how it is in real time installing these parts and explain the benefits and things like that. You make great quality parts and seeing you put them through the test is awesome. Keep up the great work. I just finished getting the suburban running. Motors finally built but I need to get spark plug heat protectors because of my headers so if you have any let me know. I hope to see you out there this year again.
Thanks, we’re definitely hoping to do some in Depth tech videos in 2024. Awesome to hear about the suburban. Hope to see it out at our events in 2024! We can definitely get the heat shields for you. Just shoot us an email!
