      an area that fixes the problem with the overworld problem
      an area that comprises of 5 massive sections, 4 of em will have random enemies each day, while 1 has a random boss that would be good, has a few caves that would also be randomly generated, it would still have Burgeoning Spiderworts and Pellet Posys in whats pretty much the “hallways” of the area

    another really cool idea i’m thinking of is an actually hard and challenging mode with a 30-50 day time limit. as someone whose favourite game in the series is the first one, that is all i need for this to top my love for it and so i can confidently call this “the magnum opus” of the series.
    respawning overworld enemies and leaving oachi out of the waterwraith dungeon to make the game more challenging/better (in my opinion) as well as the option to turn off auto-lock would be nice too.

    -New area, with new enemies and two normal caves
    -One "never ending" cave which rewards you with parts to use at the shop
    -New tools to buy from the shop, notably one which would allow you to have more than three Pikmin types on the field at all time.
    -"Hard" mode with shorter days, respawning enemies and more HP for monsters.
    -A "never ending" night with more and more enemies coming to attack you.

      A true endurance night mode would be awesome send various waves of things after you. Have it score you by kills and time survival
      Definitely wish I could have more then 3 types of pikmin. Woulda been a better reward for all them extra farlics then some sap. It was really annoying haveing to settle for just 3 at a time and back tracking back cause oh now you need ice or blue but you wanted rocks or something instead. It basically made me never use pink white or red pikmin cause they weren't necessary to have hardly ever.

    Indeed, a level editor with online sharing would be a very large stretch (I'm a programmer in the games industry), and the amount of work required would be monumental. I think that the series would need to be popular enough to net that kind of action. They made Mario Maker knowing it would sell well due to it's franchise, and how intuitive it's genre and grid-based interface can be.
    I just really like when a game lets me play it forever. There's some pikmin 2 mods that help scratch that itch, actually.

      Yeah a level editor would take a bunch of resources that Pikmin 4 frankly is very unlikely to have for its DLC

      Could just have preset empty levels you can put things in, or a large circle/square where you put in walls, treasure, enemies etc. no sculpting levels the most feasible being the underground industrial levels since you’re just putting down platforms. Maybe you have to paint dots on the floor that is the pathing nodes so enemies don’t get confused. Mayhaps the nodes themselves restrict where enemies go and can’t leave since outside would be “wall” so to speak

      @@lonetechwolf1125 Yeah good idea, that can help make the feature take less time to make.
      I think a really strong aspect of an editor is sharing content (think Mario maker versus the 3ds variant that contains no online).
      I would be more interested in consuming levels than making them, so an online sharing aspect would really help for my sake.
      A solution could also be to put the level on a QR code to share that way instead, whichever is an option for sharing level data.
      The potential is so great. Dandori time challenges would be so much fun 😊

    The biggest things I'd want for DLC are as follows:
    - New Game+ paired with a higher difficulty, respawning enemies, all Pikmin available, all unlocks available, more populated caves, remixed item locations.
    - Cave Creator, online sharing/challenge mode where players can share caves they made and set unique rules or challenges for other players.
    - Side Story in a new area with new/returning enemies, new caves, a new expanded story, and possibly Bulbmin/Mushmin (Puffmin) returning.
    If we get any of these, I'd be thrilled.

    I was so absolutely overjoyed when they added the lineup trumpet back in, but bummed out when it was only accessible at the end of the game. That and enemies not respawning were my only two real complaints, so anything that remedies those in the slightest would make me happy!

      It's funny I didn't know it was in the game cause it wasn't in 3 but I still would try to do it constantly as muscle memory from 1&2 and was so confused and freaking out when I accidentally triggered it as olimar. Thought I was going insane cause I couldn't get it to happen after finishing olimar story only to then unlock it and be bummed they didn't let me use it so much earlyer

    So I think implementing Puffmin and Bulbmin could work if you make a new area that's cavernous as you mentioned and Bulbmin would be wild Pikmin on the surface instead of Glow Pikmin! Then Puffmin could be put as a boss on the surface or in a cave that you have to fight!

      I would like if Bulbmin were in versus to give sort of a neutral starting Pikmin while not having to design everything around a new Pikmin type in the main game

      Would be cool if bulbmin were immune to become puffmin but not glow or whites giveing them that edge to use them over those during the boss and the need to collect them throughout the cave

    The final boss of the DLC in my opinion is The Waterwraith and the Smokey prog Fused into one.

    A Louie side story could implement the Juice system of Pikmin 3 but in a sort of different way.
    -Collecting enough of an enemy will allow Louie to prepare them into a meal
    -Additionally, you could select which meals to prepare and eat as long as you eat enough to survive, could grant buffs to Louie specifically?

    There should be an actual good co op mode maybe with a harder difficulty or even the origin of Moss and her potential relation to the pikmin.

    As much as I would absolutely love DLC, I kinda feel like if we were going to get any it would have been announced in the September direct.
    If we do get some though, the thing the game most needs is either higher difficulty modes, a new game plus, or both. I wouldn't say Pikmin 4 feels 'incomplete' as-is, and I'm very happy with the game, but a higher difficulty or NG+ would add SO much.
    Stuff like a level editor, challenge creator, procedural cave mode, etc etc, would all be absolutely amazing, but I think it's incredibly unlikely that something that substantial would be DLC. It seems much more realistic to hope for that in Pikmin 5, which, with any luck, won't be another 10+ years!

    As much as I'd love to see Puffmin again, I don't see them adding them as they would need to code and model each specific puffmin type

      Literally just take the Pikmin’s existing model, change the eyes, swap out the leaf for a mushroom, and tint the entire color scheme purple. Then make them act like enemy Pikmin in Dandori battles. It would not be that much effort at ALL, how Nintendo didn’t do that is a complete mystery to me.
      That said, yeah the return of puffmin in an update/DLC is incredibly unlikely unfortunately

      Not necessarily... if they could just alter the texture color artificially with a code, they could just make the existing model purple and swap the flower with a separate mushroom model, then they could still do the puffmin.

    Opinions on the proposed ideas.
    -1. One new map is, while a lofty wish, a fairly reasonable goal. Remixing the areas from prior games is odd, as all four mainline games are on the Switch, and more than one new map is probably asking for workplace troubles. My personal wish for a theme would be a cold-themed location, because Hero's Hideaway simply having its freezer open doesn't exactly count.
    -2. The P3 Koppaiates and the President are obvious picks for a new side-story, mostly because neither are directly in Pikmin 4 and having all of them would have a sort of meta-heartwarming feeling of "the whole gang's here." This would easily work like Olimar's Shipwreck Tale.
    -3. Bulbmin and Puffmin are almost a no-go, Bulbmin are effectively replaced by Glow Pikmin in the "immune to all but only in the dark" department, and Puffmin are almost replaced by opponent Dandori Pikmin in the "enemy Pikmin" department, maybe whenever playing a Dandori challenge, you could set an option for a new, onionless, leaderless team of Pikmin randomly enter the fray, at the cost of limiting your squads to 40, but they could run to random objects, pick them up, and cause trouble for everyone else.
    -4. I actually have ideas on two new types of Pikmin, an orange Wraith Pikmin, tall, covered in a light orange goo akin to the Plasm Wraith, slow, can't be shaken off, and immune to explosions, as well as a green Bush Pikmin, short, covered in dark green leaves akin to the Leaflings deals high damage, forces enemies to spit out all the Pikmin in their mouth when attempting to eat them, causes a weak spherical shockwave upon landing on anything when thrown. They might need to be further balanced, but these could easily complete the Pikmin Rainbow on the Onion, because the chartreuse Glow Pikmin are clearly gonna be limited to Luminols, Glow Seeds, Night, and Caves. These two would easily benefit from idea 1.
    -5. New/returning enemies are reasonable to add, but probably only in conjunction with idea 1.
    -6. Level editor, yeah... this one is a doozy, mostly due to pathing being interesting to cook up how to edit while being easy to pick up, grasp, and do. All I got is you could place distinct points on a map and use lines to link them up into a path. There's also the question of how actually designing the level would even work, do you get to draw the layout, do you get to choose from a selection of predesigned rooms, do you get to influence the ground height, there's a lot of questions on how that'd be accessible without being too limiting.
    -7. Maybe not randomly generated cave floors, but maybe randomly selected floors from the collection of floor layouts from across the game.
    -8. Difficulty options would definitely be somewhat easy to add, Easy could halve enemy health, double Pikmin yield, or just double your health. Hard could double enemy health, halve Pikmin yield, halve your health, or even just respawning most surface enemies would do.
    -9. New Game+ is most certainly one of, if not the most important things Pikmin 4 could have, unlocking Swarming is redundant by the time you get it. The two Sage leaf Onions are... likely to see some use, the two post HH-area Onions would see more use, though all the onion parts except for the Red Onion part would need to be dormant until you find the corresponding wild Pikmin. Oatchi's final skill would see more use since it's as redundant as Swarming when you get it. Louie's reward would be helpful, at least in spirit. The option to toggle between Auto-Aim and Manual Aim is also up there alongside New Game+, at least that'd make Sage Leaf floor 7 less of a hassle.
    Ideas I have at least heard of from elsewhere.
    -1. Better pathing for Winged Pikmin, the Winged Pikmin having the same pathing as normal Pikmin can sometimes be... annoying. They can fly, a few extra paths to take advantage of that would be nice, and unironically enable good Dandori (looking at the GH here on that.)
    -2. Blue Pikmin having the carry strength of 2 Pikmin. Would this be at least a bit overpowered? Yes. Would this have Blues be useful more often beyond not drowning? Yes. As they are right now, Blue Pikmin have nothing going for them beyond not drowning, giving them at least one other niche would be helpful.
    -3. Flives (Flower+Chives) which are like Flarlics, but instead of increasing the number of Pikmin you can bring out, they'd increase how many types of Pikmin you can bring out. Each Flive could up the number of types that could be brought out by 1, and you could have up to 5 Flives scattered about in the game. If the Wraith and Bush Pikmin ideas I have come into the game, then up to 7. If at least one new orange type comes in the game, then up to 6. This would also remove the arbitrary limit on how many Pikmin types could be in a cave, which is 7, why is THAT limit there? Surface limit is reasonable, more decision making on the surface. When choosing what to bring into a cave is also reasonable, also for more decision making. But while in a cave, sure that's only realistically noticeable in one cave, but the caves are a place where the 3-type limit is explicitly ignored, why do you have a 7-type limit there?

    My dream DLC would be at least one new area and it involves rescuing the koppatite trio giving us the knowledge of the canon ending for pikmin three. Also new caves where we get to see a few pikmin 3 bosses and probably a new dog for Dondori battles.
    I feel an underground map that just let's you use glow pikmin all the time defeats the purpose of them being used for only specific areas considering they're immune to everything except being eaten/crushed and the instant death element.
    For stuff outside story mode I'd want online Dondori battles and other games like bingo battle from past games for online fun. Possibly an option where each side doesn't have Oatchi/Moss

    NewGame+ Sounds like an amazing idea. Id compare it to how in Kirbys Return to Dreamland (Wii version idk if switch has this) after you beat the original game, you unlock newgame+ (or whatever its called), and it reduces the players health, makes bosses significantly harder, reduces healing, more enemies, but no level design change. It also has a side mode that when unlocked is EXTREMELY difficult, but SOOOO Rewarding when you beat it.

    Honestly, an idea I’ve had for an area utilizing all Pikmin types would be some sort of strange anthill like place, kinda like Formidable Oak. Probably have four bases, and many fragments of the areas between each base would have varying elements for certain Pikmin types, that way all types would need to be used. Like, bamboo gates could come back for Winged Pikmin, maybe very heavy buttons that need to be pressed by many Purple Pikmin in order to keep a gate open for the rest to go through. Crystal gates and gems should definitely also be there, that way Rock Pikmin will have more use, and maybe bringing back the electric lines for Yellow Pikmin as well. All in all though, I’m hoping at least for a harder difficulty in the game that lets old enemies respond in the overworld

    All I really want is true 2-player co-op. The captain toad treasure tracker rerelease on Switch had a pebble-pitcher-like 2p mode at launch, but true 2-player was added to the game for free alongside the paid dlc (which increased the game’s content by 25%) 8 months after the game came out.
    I hope Pikmin 4 is in the same situation because I had a blast playing Pikmin 3 Deluxe with my friend, and it would be a shame to not be able to have that feeling again.
    Those strange photos on the website, like the one with 2 customizable characters riding Oatchi, give me hope for this. The dlc being announced at the February direct would be perfect for the 8-month timespan as well.

    I feel like the orange pikmin has to be the parasitic one, could be quite fun, either they have to be eaten or enough have to be thrown onto an enemy, like 10 thrown onto a bulborb would infect it and you’ll have that big bulborb for carrying and fighting for the day

    i have multiple ideas for an orange pikmin
    one idea is a bee pikmin, it can fly, has better attack than winged pikmin, and can produce nectar, but cannot fly up high
    the other idea is a carrot pikmin, olimar plants pikpik carrots on pnf-404 and they turn into a new species of pikmin, this will be basically a typeless pikmin that looks like a carrot

    Here's a way you could implement Bulbmin:
    Since they look identical to their Bulborb counterparts, a majority of enemies would not attack them, allowing them to carry items and build bridges without any means of them being attacked.
    However, I did say *most* enemies wouldn't be able to tell them apart. I believe with them being implemented there would be some enemies being smarter than others, like boss enemies and such. It's similar to the Lynels in BoTW and ToTK.

    The rest of the house would be fun DLC. The Story mode + is a good idea. Perhaps Orange pikmin are parasitic and act kinda like a fusion of white or ice pikmin hence giving temp enemies to control for the day and when they die you could bring back the carcas. Only works with Orange pikmin that are eaten though. Visiting the old areas but remixed would be fun, as they've existed in some reincarnation in each game until now. The Rogue cave could be interesting too, hopefully you get resources from and goodies from down there. Perhaps in easy mode you start the game with all your items really just to tear through enemies and swarm with your armies lol ; or in extra spicy mode Story mode+ you could only get so many items and resources from above ground, and many are either switched around or hidden in hard areas or by going to Rogue cave. Multiplayer captains would be fun too. (even if they had to share the same group of 100). Pikmin 2 style challenges for a cutscene would be cool. Perhaps certain rare items trigger movie Pikmin cinematic shorts similar to the ones from the Nintendo TH-cam channel, and one final actual cinematic hinting at the next game. :)

    I think that an orange pikmin could be a withering pikmin. The color would be inspired by the color of the gas from the withering blowhog. It would apply a poison effect to enemies and weaken them and slow them down. Or they could possibly tie into a new version of bitter spray or something like that.

    it would be nice to have a dlc area similar to the forest navel in pikmin 1, for multiple reasons:

    was the original place where both beady and the puffmin were introduced, it would be perfect to bring them back
    the forest navel is a cave, where it would also be nice to add bulbmin
    maybe a good idea for a louie side story is that he visits all the areas olimar was *supposed* to visit in pikmin 1 which were retconned in pikmin 4
    over time the seasons change and so do the areas as we see in the transition between pikmin 1 and 2

    Personally, either Pikmin 2 retold in the Pikmin 4 engine and setting in new areas and with slight changes due to the events of pikmin 4, and Pikmin3 with a similar treatment later on, would be fantastic. Right along side setting this time line up to either be the new main of everything and advancing forward with that (seeing as it's one of the best selling of the series and they put their all into this style).
    Some sort of infinite cave that gets progressively harder as you go deeper falling more in line with pikmin 2 style caves.
    New battle modes and battle mode options and maps. Marble mode and Bingo battle again as examples. Options for Pikmin fighting one another or not. Options for more than one type of pikmin. Options for a time limit change or a point value.
    New dandori challenges. New challenges in the vein of pikmin 1 of "sprout as many as you can!" with 15 minutes per map to get the flarlics to get your max up, sprout and go, and etc etc.
    New night stages and remixes. Longer ones too. Endless mode?
    Actual co-op mode. While I don't hate the pebble pitcher, as it let's you do dumb things, it's not a real co-op mode. It is nice in it's own interesting way though.
    Online modes and new ultra challenges.
    That's really it honestly.

    Expansions to the story would be pretty cool. Getting another area with even more "blast from the past" energy could be really neat. Possibly having a good array of explosives too with Groinks and Dirigibugs so that maybe Orange Pikmin could be explosion resistant? (also New Game+? YES PLEASE!)
    Dandori/Level Editor would be cool, but I could see it quickly getting what I like to call "Mario Maker Syndrome," where it devolves into a mountain of frame-perfect challenges. Personally I would just prefer what Pikmin 3 did and add a series of challenges with far more out there environments and themes. Maybe also managed by Sage Leaf or just nobody.
    If included, the new area and challenges could help give validity to all Pikmin, including any potential new ones. Perhaps the final challenge (or maybe cave) could revolve around juggling literally all of them, since I find it ridiculous that not even the Final Boss Cave lets you get all of them at once even if you try. (which I only know because of Candypop Bud notes I read)

    In terms of the inevitable orange pikmin, the only hazard in 4 that has no direct counter is mud. So it could end up being digmin/earthmin, perhaps with their own ranged attack?

    Give us Mud Pikmin!!! They could be orange or brown and resistant to the new mud hazards but I doubt they’ll make a new pikmin entirely around a hazard that only appears in the final area.

    Pikmin 4 is such a good game and gives me everything I dreamed of. It’s my second favorite game of all time behind Pikmin 3. The only thing I can hope for is an Artic area with the return of the Phosbat family. Maybe an epilogue to the main game including the Pikmin 3 captains with Moss?

    Great video really enjoyed a lot of these ideas. Though I do feel like it's always worth remembering how limited Nintendo is with DLC. Everyone thought Odyssey would get DLC and it didn't aside from new costumes. BoTW had DLC, but it was mostly relegated to pretty minor stuff like boss refights when it could have been so much more. Splatoon 2 got one of the best DLCs I've ever played, but then nothing else after that. Mario Maker 2 was thought to be updated for years, before getting 3 updates and nothing else. I'm really hoping Pikmin 4 gets all the DLCs in the world, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't even get a single one.

    A subtle quality of life change I'd LOVE is to be able to open the Pack as Oatchi while carrying something
    I have opening the Pack mapped to the d-pad but while Oatchi is carrying something, it won't let me open it so I have to switch to the main captain to use an ultra-spicy spray or Survey Drone and switch back every time. I can open the Pack while carrying something with the Extra Hand equipped but not Oatchi. It's weird and annoying and since it's inconsistent, I'm assuming allowing it's an oversight but I don't know what problems being able to open it as Oatchi would cause

    The idea of an endless cave is TANTALIZING to me… oooh I’d love it so much
    The things I want the most out of a Pikmin 4 update (in order) are:
    1- GOOD Difficulty options (not piss easy, easy, and not-quite-as easy like in 3)
    2- Auto lock on toggle
    3- New game +
    Yes I’d love to see Bulbmin or the President (as I suggested) but these are the things that are actively hurting my experience with the game. I’d also lump in some change so that Collin and Shepherd aren’t constantly bugging me. That really annoyed me too.
    These issues REALLY drag down my experience with the game. Having them fixed? Hooh boy I can hardly imagine how much fun I could have with the game… it’d go from “I think I like this more than 3” to “oh gosh do I prefer 2 or 4” (2>1>3 in my opinion)

    I would enjoy a new area that introduces new mechanics and enemies. I don’t have many engine ideas, but maybe there could be a new type of candy pop bud that lets you change all of one Pikmin type in your squad into another type. This would let you change the Pikmin out on the field without having to go back to the onion. Maybe it could be a blizzard area and it’s too cold for the onion to land. Things I DONT want however, is a new Pikmin type. Introducing a new Pikmin type just for dlc seems weird to me. They should hold off for the next game. A new type for dlc would make the entire area revolve around them instead of having an area that tests your skill with every type at once.

    To be honest, I want two things, Magnet-based obstacles/Pikmin, and Dandori Challenge Maker
    Next to ice, magnetism is my most wanted gameplay element, because magnet puzzles are cool and they would fit into Pikmins gameplay. There could be multiple different types of magnets, maybe there can be a type that snags metal objects, a type that can attract Pikmin, and a type that can attract leaders, and you need to build around these issues. Maybe there could be a Magnet Pikmin that could home into enemies, stick to walls and create staircases for other Pikmin, and be able to run up walls and interact with objects stuck inside walls. We could give enemies magnetic properties, one of my ideas was a Long Legs type boss covered in metal treasure for armor and you need to break the treasure off to reveal the weakpoint, however, the Long Legs could levitate and use the metal objects as projectile attacks or to reapply the armor, making it a dynamic boss. May be a bit out there, but I feel like Magnetism could work in Pikemin.
    Next is a Dandori Challenge Maker for Dandori challenges. The maps are segmented in a way that you can probably collect and place down the rooms you get from caves you completed, then you can place down the enemies, treasures, number of Pikmin, and objectives. Like maybe the creator can not just stick to collecting all the treasures, maybe there could be objectives like reaching a certain point in the map, killing a certain amount of enemies, escorting a certain treasure to the onion, or completing all the floors. You can share these online and by completing them you can get medals from which you can gain custom skins for the Onions, Oatchi, or yourself. This would REALLY increase the longevity of the game add a sense of community and make up for the lack of online multiplayer.

    We don't need Glow Pikmin during the day (even if its just in that one region). Why would you use any other type then? The only thing stopping players from using exclusively Glow Pikmin is the fact that they're limited by only being in night missions and caves.

      Another cool idea would be to add back the bean/green pikmin, and one of their traits is their ability to connect together like ropes to pull up leaders and pikmin. This would make it so the fans in Heros hideaway could be removed and make it better to explore.

    What I really want is at least one more level with at least two (Preferably three) full caves with the difficulty of the the later caves of Pikmin 2. I want the see the game get mean, and I would really like to see enemies like the Careening bug boi, the segmented crabster, and the gatitling groink, I was disappointed to not see any of these three in 4. But realistically, I'd be more than happy to see a Pikmin 2 at style challenge mode pack.

    I think a new game+/balance tweaks and more mission mode-like stages would be my most wanted DLC additions, paid or not. I understand the want for these games to be accessible to everyone and wholeheartedly agree with the philosophy, but I also want to be able to get my ass kicked without modding my switch!! I want challenges like Fortress of Festivity where resource management is key, I admittedly miss the occasional unfairness of Pikmin 2's cave generation, I want more modes like Olimar's tale that are short and easily replayable.
    I also think they should let us turn off auto lock on and redo entire days because that's a big reason I haven't continued my deathless playthrough

    I got a idea, how about having a bulborb nest which you can send glows into to snatch Bulborbs and have the glows use parasitic properties to turn them into Bulbmin, and in exchange Bulbmin gain an Immunity to Gloom, and carry faster than whites, the downside being that, they can't use the spirit bomb like attack the glows have, they do damage up to Blue/Yellow Pikmin strength, and you need either 2 or 3 bulbmin for it to count as one Pikmin, as they will have a hard time lifting up objects with just their mouths, qnd if you can take Glows in the day, if they are in the sun the damage they will deal is as much as the damage Winged Pikmin deal, however in dark areas like the shade, Glows get powered up to the strength of a red, but only if it's during the day, if it's at night they will have the same strength as usual, that way it makes having onions for the both of them fair, as they come with new weaknesses, and new strengths!

    I want the ability to design custom caves, dandori challenges, and even maybe multiplayer maps and post them online! I think Pikmin 4 really lacks any sort of reason to return to it after playing the game, which might be a slightly controversial opinion, but this would turn a game most players would put 40 hours into, into a game that players can spend 100+ hours on! Honestly, I don't know why Nintendo doesn't do this!

    I know you said it was unlikely, but why does everyone seem to want Bulbmin and “Puffmin”? Bulbmin are obsolete now as their roles has been taken over by Glow Pikmin so they’re obviously not coming back, at least not in the same game the Glow Pikmin were introduced. “Puffmin” weren’t even really a Pikmin type, they were more of an effect of a hazard than anything.

      I find it so interesting that glow pikmin are immune to fire and electricity and bulbmin are immune to water, fire, poison, and electricity. Like, what indications are there that these hazards particularly wouldn't effect these types? I get glow pikmin being able to avoid the other hazards, but the light component of fire and electricity seems like it might hurt them... Maybe it's only sunlight? And bulbmin, well, I find it interesting that a tiny bulborb body protects them from much of anything, but what do I know

      @@VantageEmblem i hc that bulbmin are actually orange pikmin, and orange pikmin have the ability to burrow into the carcasses of other creatures and use its body as an all around meat shield. kind of grotesque, but it makes sense why elements dont affect them; it DOES, they just dont feel it through a shield of skin and muscle. as for glow pikmin, who knows. my idea is more of a redesign than an explanation, but it makes sense since pikmin 4 is the most training wheels heavy game in the series, so the most recent additions to the pikmin lineup are super op. im kind of inspired to make pikmin redesigns right now lol

      @@VantageEmblem OH and idk why they would be harmed by the sun and not fire, kind of a bad move on nintendos part. the only reason i can think of for why the sun would hurt them in the first place is because it emits ultraviolet light (assuming pnf 404s atmosphere is similar to earth the way its nature and creatures resemble that on earths, even assuming pnf 404 IS earth due to the human remains n stuff), but fire and i assume electricity does too (idk enough about electricity to assume this lol). is it the intensity of the sun rays? i also dont think so since being blasted with a blowtorch is probably worse than sitting in the sun

    Maybe they arnt working on a dlc but a new game. It’s highly unlikely that a level editor would be in the main game Mario And Zelda got a level maker why not pikmin? A pikmin dlc would probably be a endless cave getting reworded with like raw materials and sparkliam maybe even pikmin onion upgrades making more pikmin when retrieving corpses, this would make it easier for newer players but also making it a challenge to get the upgrades like Reds Sublevel 20 Yellows Sublevel 45 Blues Sublevel 65 Purples Sublevel 100 Whites Sublevel 120 Wings Sublevel 130 Rocks Sublevel 150 Ice Sublevel 200 Extra Upgrade for all when you reach that floor you immediately get the upgrades anything you collect is 2x when you reach sublevel 200 you always get a extra 3 pikmin that are not counted to the multiplier if you somehow reach sublevel 999 sublevel 1000 has a long hallway with a blower at the end this would also be the PERFECT place to bring back bulbmin and puffmin maybe the puffmin can be wild pikmin that attack you they could also bring back some old enemy’s and say “ohoha they where in the caves the whole time how intriguing.”

    I know this is a non-issue.
    But better music for the first 3 areas.
    It's just a lot of quiet notes with long pauses, not like the memorable songs from 1 or 2. E.G. forest navel and awakening wood.

    my main criticism of pikmin 4 is that it doesnt look more like pikmin 3, the bosses are a huge downgrade from pikmin 3, and its overall less fun and less charming than previous games
