God bless you Troy. I grew up in an Orphanage in Saigon from 65 to 69 during the Vietnam war after loosing my whole family. It was a miserable childhood. Currently living and doing well in the the US. i plan to leave all my wealth to help these poor children back in my home country. My son and daughters that I've raised here in the US dont need a dime since I've raised them well. AND DOING VERY WELL in their career paths. It would be awesome to cross paths and meet the legend Troy when I plan to visit in 2023

That is the real world. Is that why you are hiding inside USA all the time, you are afraid to go out to other countries??
Well sadly the kids in America and elsewhere were forced by socialist governors and leaders to stay at home, get vaccinated and couldn't grow their own vegetables because seeds were not allowed to be sold in certain states. Give them an excuse and subsequently allow them to do it and this is what happens. Test scores down and kids missing nearly 2 school years.
Great work, Troy; glad to see you're keeping this up still been following you for a while. Seeing those tears from someone so young just destroys my heart. Children should not suffer on the street like this.
It's always someone else's fault they are not in school. It's obvious they never will be.......that scooter never left Saigon when you bought it. ( For those who may not know, the mother told Troy she had sent the scooter to the little girl's twin sister, at their home town, when he next saw them.) It was sold the minute your back was turned. I guess that sounds hateful and negative, but it's the reality of a poor person in a poor nation. I so wanted that little girl to have some fun in her life. I remember how thrilled she was to get it.

Seeing this little girl cry over her failed day breaks my heart. Then Troy comes and saves the day ❤️. That's awesome. You know these kids will always remember you for that. But I also like the fact you didn't throw money at them. Because they shouldn't expect money from you every time your around either. Then they become dependent on donations. Almost like it's exspected.
Thank you, Troy, for helping out that little girl by purchasing her remaining tickets. These kids are so vulnerable, but have no recourse at this young age. It’s a miserable existence. Thank you for lifting her spirits.
I hear what you're saying Troy. On one hand it was great to help the girl by buying her last 15 tickets. But on the other hand, what if her mom starts giving her more tickets to sell now since she sold all of hers on that day? Could be more beatings coming. But you did the same thing that I would have done. Keep up the great work Troy!
Society is so fickle, that it's even hard to truly see if the action brings positive or negative outcomes. Not saying not to give, but I had exactly the same thoughts as you. If you give the money, and then parents see that, and start threatening kids even more, because they know it will bring in more money if they go out there scared and crying. And after some time, expectations could become unrealistic, fear in child growing more, and punishment from the parents being harsher as they got used to more money. But what else can you do? Not giving doesn't exactly seem like a choice either; as this might be what tips the scale for the positive for the child, like being able to afford housing/food and sending the child to school.
"Why don't you go to busier places?" "I already walked a lot of places it's tiring." I'm dead 😭😭😭😭 She just wants to be alone with her own thoughts sometimes like any child that age.

Beating your kids because they're failing to do something they really shouldn't be doing in the first place, that you make them do, is horrible.
I also remember that video. It is heartbreaking to see a kid crying because they know what awaits them at home. We can’t fix this system, but Troy brought her some relief for today!

Poor kid. A sad sight. Children shouldn't have to be on the streets like that. Unfortunately children like her are all over this screwed up world. What a world. And the government doesn't give a flip about them. Sad.
So sad seeing such a young precious young kid live like this. Love to pay her father & mother a visit & educate them on how to treat kids. Absolutely disgusting to hit your kids in this matter for not selling tickets.
My. How arrogant you are. I am sure there is nothing you could tell these parents about raising kids. The child testified that both her parents were working. Her twin is happy and cheerful, and both look well clothed and nourished. I am sure they are doing their best by their kids in conditions that most of us would not know where to start. Perhaps you should ask Troy to arrange for you to sponsor that family on a regular basis. A very little each month can revolutionize a family's life by removing the need for the kids to work and funding school fees. That would bring something very positive from this fortuitous reunion..

I also visited Sumatra to live in the rainforest and see Orangutan on the same trip. 3 weeks Sumatra, 3 weeks Vietnam. Trip of a lifetime. If you are going to fly to the other side of the planet I definitely recommend a long trip like this and not just a week or two if possible.
I was born in a poor family. As a child, I have a loving parents protect me so that I did not feel I was lack of anything. But I remember my mom could not even buy me a bowl of pho. I grow up in US but still have few memories of those time so I understand and sympathize families in that situation. I do a lot of charity, at least more charity than average person. I learned that most families in poverty typically make a lot of babies, like 8 kids. Not sure lack of birth control or lack of education in such topic. Those kids work to help support the family. But generally speaking, educated parents tend to have very small family. I also see parents at their 70s and 80s pick recycle to survive. Kid grow up, get married and say their goodbyes. It is a heartbreaking. One positive is Vietnamese culture do a lot more charity to help the poor than most. They donate food, cloths, money, and sometimes build homes for the lucky poor family. During COVID lockdown, some landlords give tenants free rents or 50% rent for 2-3 months. In US, government have to pass law to make landlords unable to convicts tenant. I have never heard landlord give free rents in US. As a landlords myself, I understand that side too. Landlords in US are individual person who have mortgage to pay. Landlords in Vietnam might be fully own their properties.
Thank you brother for helping out my people. Bring tears to my eyes see these little girls have to endure hardship such early ages. God bless you my friend
Thanks for helping the kids, Troy. Every time I went to Vietnam, I always bought vé số or lottery tickets and asked them signed behind the tickets, then I gave back to them with hoping that they will win. They looked at me and surprised then thanks me.
That broke my heart. The family needs help so those little ones can go to school. Young girls turn to prostitution when they can't feed or house themselves.
Wow!!!! So sad to see the hardship that these little girls have to endure…I can’t see the mother getting them into school,She is using them for her own gain
Children need to be loved and taken care of by their parents. Her mother is doing so much psychological harm to her daughter. Children are supposed to be provided for by their parents and not have to provide for their parents. Parents like her mother shouldn't have children. Praying that she will grow up with lots of success and to know what love is. Seeing her crying is so heartbreaking and I just hope that she can sell the tickets so that she won't have to be scared of getting beat when she goes home. She needs to be very careful with the money so that she doesn't get robbed. Why do people have to be so evil especially towards children?
Cute kids and your very cool for your generous gesture. I haven't been back to Saigon since 2016 I miss it. Met my wife there in late 2014 got married at the Saigon Palace in 2016. I did see a lot of people out in the street selling those lottery tickets especially district 1.Some kids but not as widespread as you say. Then again I really wasn't looking for it.
People who enslave their children, then physically abuse them if they don't come through should be imprisoned. That's not being a parent. Good on you for saving these girls from their own parents, which sickens me.
It's not just the massive money you give them, it's not just the beautiful compliments you dole out, it's not just the funny jokes you make smiles with, it's not just the caring and attention that manufactures warmth, what's the most important thing is you SPREAD HOPE ALL OVER THE WORLD!! Thank you Troy !!
Oh my god my heart breaks. I live in Thailand with it share of poverty & heartbreak which I try basically to aid. The West have not even the slightest idea how fortunate they are. Most people in the world don't even have the basic of necessities. You are a good man
The majority of people throughout history who existed in The West lived in unimaginable poverty, grueling and dangerous conditions during their working day and threat of persecution from their masters. If Europeans forgot their own history, it's easy to see we'll all be back in that situation soon..
@@VooDooMaGicMan81 Well I fear current generations are unaware of such history. For a simple example I saw a news report asking a citizen about the looming financial crises and the interviewee was speaking of the financial distress they faced whilst holding their morning $9 Starbucks coffee, and I think - YOU ARE IN FOR A SHOCK!
You are my hero. I always help out kids and homeless people when I'm traveling the world. Thank you so much for what you do. You are a great person. That kid will remember your compassion her entire life.
For you people who aren't aware of the life style and culture in Vietnam. It's a country that is still riddled with famine, poverty, and lack of government social welfare. If the kid didn't sell enough tickets; the parents might just one day sell her off to some rich Chinese guy as a bride once she hits 18 years old. If the little girls parents are not farmers; they are living everyday suffering through lack of food and ability to plan for the future. Going to school in South East Asia is a privilege; not a right like the western countries. A lot of these young Vietnamese girls end up turning to drugs, prostitution, or running away to marry some wealthy guy.
We support a local school that is struggling. We had a little boy that used to sell tickets at our cafe in Saigon. We offered to buy all his tickets regularly so that my wife (teacher) could spend time helping his education but he wasn't interested. My concern is the predators that try and exploit these kids in their vulnerable state.
Great to see the kids growing up I was confused because I remember she had a twin and when she said that was her younger sister but the mum explained it they do look different age
I came to Vietnam for 12 months 51 years ago. I have lived here full time for the past 20 years. I see kids like these all the time. I've seen kids brutalized by their mothers for not selling enough tickets but the girls I feel the most sorry for are the massage girls. So many are sent from the Mekong to work in massage parlors to support their families. They grow old very quickly.

Poor kid. A sad sight. Children shouldn't have to be on the streets like that. Unfortunately children like her are all over this screwed up world. What a world. And the government doesn't give a flip about them. Sad.
Shes not an entrepreneur. She is not a sales person. She is being forced into something she does not want to do.
Troy is the best, very inspiring ❤️
Thank you Troy🇻🇳🙏
To beat a child for not selling enough tickets is beyond wrong, it's evil. That poor girl, feel so sorry for her being the child of such a monster.
You're a legend Troy. Keep up the good work.
@@markturner4219 mate.ill l educate & bless you with knowledge. Ive been to Vietnam plenty of times. I know how it works. Ive helped plenty of homeless people. Im a serverr thats my natural gifting. "she was crying because she gets beaten regularly for not selling the tickets" watch the video again loose lips" 💋 Would you hit your kids ? beat them for not selling tickets ? Plus they don't go to school. They are not doing fine. Watch video again. Have you been to Vietnam? Ive dated a Vietnamese girl.i know the culture very well.
@@markturner4219 you make some valid points with your comment. If it could be arranged, I would be willing to make a monthly donation to help this family even though I think the mom is sketchy. I doubt that much of the money would trickle down to the kids. We would need some way to verify that life was improving for the kids!
@@thebalmaintigers your arrogance continues to speak volumes.
Suggest you read my post again. Nowhere did I say they were doing fine.
Being in a country for years with the attitude demonstrated by your posts will teach you nothing, it will just reinforce your preconceived prejudices.
BTW. I am fully cogniscent of the content of the video.
Having been in various forms of child and adult protection work for over 40 years, in a wide variety of countries and cultures I can guarantee that situations are never as simple as the arrogance in your post implies, and that people with the attitude demonstrated in your posts achieve nowhere near what they may think they are achieving.
They primarily suceed in simply massaging their already over inflated egos.
I feel so sorry for these girls, but you the bestguy helped them save their worry some. you very kind! may God bless you.
That breaks me so hard poor kids they shouldn't be doing this at all but I understand not every one has a easy life I wish they future blessings and a lot of money God bless them
Thank you brother. May God bless you sir.
With all the economic growth and development in Vietnam it breaks my to see these children missing out and living like this!
Growth my ass
My heart is melting im so thankful to
God i was blessed . To

Good health as always too amen
Nice to hear the tourists are back in town. When I visited in early July it was still very few.
Do you ever plan on going back?
@@Bear4196 Absolutely. I went to and loved north and central Vietnam (Vinh area and the mountains next to Laos). Maybe I will visit Saigon next time too. I consider myself very lucky to have gone just at the tail end of Covid before there were many tourists.
@@monkeytime9851 Sounds fabulous!! Hopefully next time you will meet up with Troy and go on an adventure. Sumatra would be on my list, too.
Thank for sharing.
Your language skills allow you to be on a personal level with Vietnamese locals. Your a good person the way you help kids.
Thanks for idea. I'll do next time as i always discard them or forget about it
That broke my heart. The family needs help so those little ones can go to school. Young girls turn to prostitution when they can't feed or house themselves.
Oh no. Troy went MIA again
Lol The usual for him, he will come back with a great excuse!!
These are the types of channels that deserve the millions of subs
yeah! but charity channels never get a lot of views
Have you recovered brother Tory?
Hi my friend Troy how are you x loving the videos x your Scottish fan 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Sad seeing these children struggling with their daily lives.
god bless these kids. how can you hit these beautiful children.
my heart breaks when I see these kids. While the kids in America are so spoiled
Little Ut Nho! She has really gotten tall since we seen her last.
thanks for helping
Thank you so much!
So sweet.
Aww poor baby girl. I'll adopt her is she has no one. Great job troy!!
thank you for your kindness
Cute kids and your very cool for your generous gesture. I haven't been back to Saigon since 2016 I miss it. Met my wife there in late 2014 got married at the Saigon Palace in 2016. I did see a lot of people out in the street selling those lottery tickets especially district 1.Some kids but not as widespread as you say. Then again I really wasn't looking for it.
God's bless these children ❤️
troy saving kids since 2013
Ah the mystery of the imposter twin solved? And the change in personality of Ut Nho had to do with the beatings...oh dear...
It's like H. C. Andersen : The Little Match Girl 😱😱
Excellent !
Bless you Kind Sir.
Thank you Troy
Poor thing
Awesome video Troy… you came to the rescue like you always do and saved another child in need😍👍😊
what a good deed you did Troy, well done mate.
That poor little girl, bless her heart.
❤
Thanks for helping the kids. Unfair that the parents put pressure on there kids. 😡😡
I felt so bad seeing that little girl sitting there crying bless you man, bless you for helping her out you are a good person.
Great video!!
A result of communist dictator
Troy thank you for stopping and extending help to the young lady.
This is the real Troy !!!!!
