Dustin Gilland, I have a 2002 Lone Star Baja TRX250R that needs to be street legalized, since I can't ride it off road anymore due to a botched back surgery. I have asked the local THP, and they said NO.
@Yes Man honestly bro I have a little trailmaster 125cc go kart and I rode it on the street and got pulled over lol, but my electric bicycle Is okay... maybe I should add my go kart has everything a car would need to be street legal: headlights, tail lights, mirrors, turn signals, and street tires
I'm planning well hoping to make my 83 Big Red street legal. Keeping it off road use too. My plan. Like the president and ATC memes. We need to make ATCs great again.
Damn man, Tennessee has some beautiful scenery and roads. That thing looked fun to rip, but yeah, buddy needs to get to a proper machinist to get the spacers made right and maybe even lower that quad and it would handle even better! Glad you had a fun time out there! (P.S., gloves were looking on point as usual)
Nice man, yeah, I'm sure the balance on the wheels might be off too, but it was a good first attempt I think. I'm sure you'll work the kinks out, looks like a fun ride!
Bro, tail of the dragon has 2 points of entry, TN and NC. The movie “deliverance” is named after the city and its on the TN side of that. Cops are chill out up by fort Campbell too so it makes it easier to do some real riding. But I did get arrested riding my ninja 250 bout 15miles from deliverance lol and fun fact that place is like 20miles from the worldwide church of god headquarters, so the cops on that side of tn are usually assholes lol they’ll pull you over for something they can’t even write you up for and try everything they can to search your car, no matter the situation. It’s criminal honestly.
No laws against adding to or taking away from the motorcycle itself. People make them into trikes all the time and the title/registration still stays the same. So take the engine and frame with matching vin and join it with an atv and *boom*You now own a street legal/registered/tagged/ insured atv that can contend with a motorcycle lol 👌 keep that on the low down though, you didn’t hear it from me.
how far is towsen Tennessee from Estill Springs Tennessee I lived in Estill Springs Tennessee and I had a street legal Honda 200s three wheeler and my street legal Baja warrior 200cc trail bike torque converter belt drive
Down in Tennessee most cops are pretty chill if you are being respectful and not acting to stupid I grew up in WarTrace Tennessee rode many back roads all over nothing like a good ride
That was a fun day it was cool to see where all you went we figured you had cop trouble or was just having too much fun after you were gone a while great video
Thats actually perfect size for around town. But for where he is a 450 is what he needs. I'm looking to get a reeper its a street legal utv. I've driven a few they are fun.
It was a blast for sure! I still have a few videos left to upload from the adventure. I never got to see them running unfortunately but I'm hoping to get my hands on one of them to test ride as soon as they come out.
Attention Deficit i find Honda did not get in the boat as they should have for the release. They should have 12 of each model for you guys at smokey to test for an hour i have people rave about riding it, instead of making it a for eyes only deal. My two cents. ✌🏻
I agree 100%, that would have been awesome. Especially all of the motovloggers there that would have given free promo, it's kind of dumb that they didn't.
This is awesome but i'm curious why people think that buying a street legal kit and installing it along with road tires is difficult. Am I missing something on a build? Great video!
hey, moving from portland Oregon thinking about montana or whevere i can ride an ATV on the road... can you ride a 4wheeler on almost all public roads? can I ride into town in billings, MT?... curious if its only certain roads or if a ATV can be a daily driver on all roads...
I would love to be able to do that. Definitely need to check the laws in Ohio to figure that one out. I actually have the perfect quad I'd wanna do it on.
Last time I checked a few years ago, there wasn't a way to make them legal in OH. It makes no sense since there are Spyders and the Slingshot. I'm in NE OH.
@@Backyardsniper73 yea, but I'm not interested in a spider or a slingshot especially at their prices. I think its honest horse crap cause I know some towns have let razors and Mavericks become road legal, all relative to where they can go mostly rural roads inner city roads etc. But I mean if you can have a 125cc grom road legal why can't you have a big bore quad? I'm sure theres a gonna be a stipulation to them at some point. I'm sorry but slingshots are way overpriced for what they are. Not a fan of spiders and don't need to add another $200-300+ payment when I have something that is paid off and very capable of hitting 70-80mph in stock form.
I don't like either. I ride a motorcycle, no seatbelt,no doors, and the windshield was optional. If you look at the pipe buggies we have around I really don't get it.
I am very familiar with TN's laws in regards to these. I honestly think TN did it wrong as you said in the video, many people cut corners and not do all the stuff. I think Low Speed and Medium Speed plates should only be issued side by sides and those Class 1 and Class 2 plates should be issued to side by sides or ATVs. Just a name thing. However, I fully support TN's law into making side by sides and ATVs street legal. The only issue with the law is there isn't much oversight. Now while I agree with the whole "fill out this affidavit and you are good to go" system, there really should be a little more oversight over ATvs and their conversions, such as an inspection. Most side by sides are pretty much already setup with mostly everything but ATVs aren't. What worries me is a bunch of entitled knuckleheads on ATVS that get their plate but barely do anything to meet the requirements and get enough law enforcement people pissed off their their chiefs unionize and pressure the lawmakers to make a change. This ATV in the video looks great but I wish everyone in TN did what they were supposed to do.
Here in the UK and the rest of Europe it is Legal to ride on any City street,,I cant understand why in the USA the laws are different ,a Quad is far safer than a motorcycle. anyday
the people who head up the car, suv, pickup industry here in the states know that street legal quads would take 25% of their market, more or less overnight... so they do everything they can to block it. i'm practically certain that's what the issue is. they probably don't want to part with all that money and power
I dont want to be rude. But I am the one who built this quad. I'm the first to do it in Tennessee. I live in pigeon forge. And your wrong. You cant just jump on the road with any quad. Also each county makes their own desicion to issues tags. I have built more street legal stuff in Tennessee than anyone. I'm the one who helped make it legal. Please educate your self. You need tags tires signals lights horn Speedo insurance etc. Not mention ut has to be recertified and everything needs to be DOT approved. There are 2 towns that dont require the tag nonsense. But they are next to off road parks. If you want I can show you the legislation. I have every state code for this.
@@RustedRejectOfficial Off road vehicles are legal in tennessee on roads that are 40mph and under. You do not have to have any lights, turn signals, etc. It is an OFF ROAD VEHICLE. Youre just getting butthurt because you went through all the trouble to register that thing when you didnt have to

Where do ya get the speedometer?
Not sure what he robbed it off.
Nice I also got a street legal one in Tennessee, didn’t know there were any other ones here.
This would be an awesome future build!
I think so too! Thanks for the feedback👍🏻
I want to make my Honda ATC street legal. Where do I start?!
Depends on the state! I would start browsing some forums, there are plenty of loop holes you can get around👍🏻
What kind of license you need is it legal in Nc
It has to be converted to street legal per state requirements, this is titled as a motorcycle.
I wonder if this is possible for Manitoba I'm canadian eh we need things like that here eh
Yeah I'm not sure about that it's worth asking somebody though!
🤙🏻 cool ride brother

This is awesome but i'm curious why people think that buying a street legal kit and installing it along with road tires is difficult. Am I missing something on a build? Great video!
It wasn't a kit and in his state it was very difficult to get past the legal side of things. Still gets messed with to this day.
I would love to do this to my 400ex someday

Nope!

Damn, they’re strict about 4wheeler laws down there. In MT, everyone’s 4wheelers are street legal! Not really a big deal around here!
Yeah it should be legal everywhere!
Side by side rigs can be street legal too!

Yes he had to go through a lot of hoops and still gets hassled for it.

Attention Deficit yea man maybe one day when I get the cash haha thanks for the reply I love the channel keep up the great work
What’s so great about a banshee? 2 strokes suck on the street. Gearing to short and too much wear for a 2 stroke as a daily. 4 stroke 400+ for streets
How I really want to know how he made it street legal it sick!
I'd love to have one of these just to go to work on.
I live in MURFREESBORO TN, I’d like to get ahold of this guy, is there contact info for him?
