      It's no different with doctors for human health, who are told to prescribe what they are told, or face consequences. Holistic doctors have been killed for teaching natural healing. The FDA through a guy in prison for selling apricot kernels to people as a cancer treatment, because it put his cancer in remission. In prison, they would not let him have his apricot kernels, and his cancer came back. Then, they forced chemotherapy and radiation on him, because they make billion$ off off it. That is the treatment they want forced on people, and they force the doctors to push that treatment on people.

      Ditto to that!! I've found one or two vets that treat pets with natural remedies. Humans are pushing it amongst themselves...why can't vets do it for our pets??

    • @katiexsevens
      @katiexsevens 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      To be honest, I fear taking my dogs to the vet we currently have as they don't have much of a bedside manner; in addition to the fact that's it's always some expensive drug, rather than what we can possibly do naturally. Years ago my Cocker Spaniel had a reaction to a rabies shot and his eyes swelled up like crazy. They recommended Benadryl which brought the swelling down, yet a few months later, he came down with Glaucoma. Not that it was related at all..but it gave me a huge mistrust of the vets in our town. Still haven't found one I've liked much..

    Dr. Jones has generously offered prompt and very effective assistance for my lab Luke. If I had visited a Vet the information he supplied would have cost me a few hundred dollars not to mention I have an extremely energetic pup so outings are stressful for us both. Never once in all his videos have I seen any of his products or even was I aware they existed. Yet I have seen him suggest over 30 inexpensive natural products.
    Yet another attack against an honest,compassionate caring individual that has taken the hard road by not allowing himself to be bullied or detoured from what he knows is right. you have my complete support Andrew. Keep fighting the good fight.♡☆

    Thank you, Dr. Jones, for having the courage, compassion, and fortitude to lead the way in holistic pet care for animals and their owners everywhere. Change is always uncomfortable at first, but it takes ONE person to lead so that others may follow.
    I've wasted hundreds of dollars, this year alone, on treating my cocker spaniel's ear infection with expensive drugs that are not always effective. The last vet I went to told me that he just keeps dogs on antibiotics their entire life. Lunacy! I'm grateful to you and happy to spread the news about you-the vet with a heart! ❤️

      Dear jc jc , My Aussie had the same thing jc. I'm still not sure what caused it!! Perhaps she got ahold of something outside when I wasn't watching. I don't know. I was baffled and went straight to Dr. Jones "archived" remedies. Within a week she was back to having a good firm stool. If your dog is anything like mine jc, she was so upset that she was "making a mess inside", but it didn't take much for me to assure her that it wasn't her fault!!! When she hears ( and Knows! ) the word " accident " she knows she's not in trouble!! Plus a lot of TLC helped her too. P.S.- Thank God I had plenty of newspapers I hadn't taken out to the recycling bin yet!!!! LOL Thanks Dr. Jones !!!

    It must have been so difficult for you to take on this battle with the impact it has had on your gifted career. I agree with you about your philosophies and observations on the traditional VCA perspective. Dogs in other countries often live longer than they do in America and that does not include accidents. I have been raising Yorkshire Terriers for 26 years and I am currently a retired middle school science teacher. I am very capable of critically analyzing information as I have taught through experimentation science research. I have found your channel to be full of excellent advice and homeopathic solutions and compassion. I am so happy I found this channel. I am in dire need to find out my German's skin issues. I'm trying different things from the doc. It's a terrible loss for the BC Board, but a gain for all of us. To be so humble, real, and helpful in today's society is unheard of. You sir get a gold star in your crown. I guess the Board members send their dogs to a high-priced vet. You know...one who follows the rules even if they're wrong. Amazing how all that has changed. Can't be a good guy anymore. TY again Doc. Glad you're here. So glad!!!

      Me too. I am so grateful I found this channel and this wonderful doctor. I also live in BC and I am just furious at the Vet industry for their over rated high priced costs. I wish Canada would create a universal health care system for pets that we can all pay into who are pet owners. And that we can have a variety of vets who care about holistic practices or normal ones, but with lower costs. If they truly care about animals, help us when we have a pet and are going through hard times. It's just ridiculous and outrageous what the vet industry has become. I hope Dr.Jones will get the credit and great attention he deserves to begin a new path of pet health care for others to embark on.

      Bradley Noneofyourbizz yes. Unfortunately for a lot, that's what takes priority- - money, not ethics. my former vet once told me when I brought my rescue pitbull in..(she was having issues with her skin, and trusts no one because of her abusive start of life) that she's too aggressive, and for that alone, euthanize her. this was before he got his big new fancy clinic.. Needless to say, hes not my vet anymore.

      Clyde Ward His way of practicing isnt necessarily maligned from that.You obviously have a strong opinion against him however that doesnt seem to be what the opinion the masses share.He hasnt doesnt anything harmful/detrimental to an animal, he just wants to essentially (in my opinion) treat the WHOLE animal vs just throwing meds & surgery at his patients.I hope he comes to the US, most vets dont even know what supplements/vitamins do or help nor other ways of treating animals.

      Clyde: Fortunately there are more of this "crazy" kind in the US and elsewhere who advocate other approaches. The "evidence" indeed shows results of the effectiveness of drug therapy in various patient groups, but what causes the disease itself is not shown or even examined by them.

Thank you for educating and informing us of other means/options we can utilize to treat our furry children. I worked for a medical clinic for 10 yrs and I can verify that drug reps do make frequent calls/visits asking Doctors/ clinics to prescribe/push their drugs. Thank you for introducing and explaining natural remedies for our pets. Most importantly thanks for being so amazing and for taking a stand for what you know and believe. Thank you for opening us up to less harmful options for our babies. God bless you, Dr. Jones! 🙂💞🙏

    I have heard issues so similar with holistic medical practictioners... the medical system is being challenge, and can't seem to hurt anyone unless they HIT you in the money bag. This is disgusting! And I'm sorry that you are dealing with these institutions! I am researching holistic Vets in New Jersey...because I have gone to three vets in this area, and am not particularly keen on all the meds they are giving...I mean, to say...it's more about Medicines - not nutrition. Ie, my dog had ear allergies...never once was it mentioned that my dog could be eating the wrong thing. (yeast) I would have changed their diet in a heart beat. It took my research to find the best way to approach nutrition with my dogs...and well...maybe I'm wrong about this....but, isn't it funny that so many pets are suffering with disease that humans are dealing with too? And so many people also have disease related to Bad Diets? Does anyone else see the connections here?

    • @emcory5684
      @emcory5684 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Exactly. It's a lot about processed foods and chemicals in our foods. If the industries do this to humans, how can we think that the industries will do better for animals?

    • @ayema5449
      @ayema5449 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      +Juliana Leo -- Both the (human) medical schools and the vet schools are obviously funded by the same sources. Medical schools have been funded by the pharmaceutical companies for at least several decades, so their "science" education is based on healing via chemical means (pharmaceutical chemicals). And, it seems that vet schools teach the same perspective. Money is made from illness, not wellness and the people who own and profit from these companies do it for money. Initially, the chemical (medication) may mask or treat the symptoms (not the cause) but the side effects will cause other problems (along with not treating the cause) that will keep us ill and continuing to support their bank account.

      I live in England in the West Midlands and after shopping round all my local vets I very quickly realised that most were overselling and over medicating and over charging. I eventually found a alternative vet in Oxford who speaks the truth and doesn't oversell. If you own a pet my advice is do your homework. You don't need to give your pet monthly flee or worm treatments, you can use natural alternatives and/or do a worm count. Neither do you need to vaccinate yearly, again there are natural alternatives, noseodes for instance, titre test first to see if the vacs are needed. Neutering should only be done if there is a medical reason for it, and yes there are alternatives to the conventional methods, vasectomy, tubual ligation, partial spay. Do your home work!

    I am amazed that BC, and I guess Canada as a whole lags so far behind the US in treating pets Holistically. We have practices here (Washington State, USA) that mix both traditional vet medicine and holistic care as well as some vets that practice nothing but holistic medicine. Usually I find Canadian medicine (for people) a bit ahead of what we do in the US so I am surprised that the Vet College is so behind the times. Will you go back and practice if they change their policies?

    • @VeterinarySecrets
      @VeterinarySecrets  7 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Hi Pam,
      I would love the option, but that won't happen here as I refuse to pay the excess fines on principle

    • @rentechpad
      @rentechpad 7 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      I understand and I agree with your decision, Those fines are ridiculous. Besides a change in policy I would hope they would rescind the fines, especially in comparison to the fines listed for other vets whose actions hurt animals. Its obviously a very politically motivated reaction to fine you that way and smacks of bit of a motive from vets who are traditionally treating animals and don't want to entertain alternatives but are hearing from owners who want that option. I hope, in the long run the BC Veterinary College will some day come to its senses and realize that for the sake of our animals health all methods must be available and that no one should be censored from providing information that is simply equating to a better quality of life for our animals through all forms of medical care. I admire the stand you have taken.

    Dr Jones DVM, could be one of the the best vets around, because not only did he thoroughly master becoming a classically trained veterinarian in all aspects of physiology, biology; trained in diagnostics, surgery and qualified to prescribe drugs, and an experienced vet for many, many years, he then began incorporating natural treatments and preventative therapies and diets to treat his patients and educating his clients in therapeutic preventive care, so they could care for their pets more thoroughly.
    He started to realise the dangers of using some drugs for treating minor ailments and other diseases, and the downfalls of typical vet care, and pet foods even recommended by vets. He dared to turn his back on a lot conservative classic veterinarian held beliefs and treatments. and start talking about it. Of course most typical vets might be appalled and threatened by what they would perceive as a 'threat' to their classically trained belief system and their livelihood; - so many have condemned him.
    This more natural way of healing which Dr Jones has brought to you should be welcomed with open arms, as he COMES FROM the very same arduous intensive training and experiences as the whole veterinary establishment, but has seen the intrinsic value of natural therapies and inherent dangers of dogmatic conservatively held beliefs of traditional veterinary medicine and bravely brings it to you. I have been involved in natural and preventative therapies and lifestyle for both animals and animals for many years and know the benefits they provide. billi taylor @ linkedin.com @yahoo.com Sydney, Australia

    I have followed you for some time and commend you for looking out for the animals like you swore to do when embarking on your healing journey. I have been living a nightmare dealing with one of my elderly dogs just here of late and have been wanting to beat my head on the wall from the lack of competence and their inability to think out of the box. After questioning them on treatments they roll their eyes not believing I will not bow down to them. I was amazed at the questions that they did not ask me about my dog which I felt were critical questions. I also changed some of the things they were prescribing when I found they were actually worsening my dog’s condition and now she is on a healing journey . This isn’t my first rodeo and after losing so many dogs to cancer at early ages after having done everything the vets recommended is when I started researching and changing my habits of care with the animals. All my animals since then have not died from cancer. My old girl now has been diagnosed with diabetes which I have never experienced so am ignorant. I didn’t know the signs. After my own research I have tweaked her diet even more and I was ecstatic yesterday when her numbers were almost in the normal zone. Not by anything that the vets would have had me do. They would have wanted me to put her on some processed kibble by Hill’s or another. Brand which I am sure would have kept her sicker. I am an Equine and Canine Bodyworker, etc and use Red Light and Bemer on the animals for support (politically correct) and it is great to see them feeling so much better quicker then anticipated. I truly appreciate your dedication to the health and well-being of our wonderful friends. Thank you.
