But the first time I heard kpop, my sister was listening to it and I made fun of her for it, I told her the boys looked like girls, and I asked her why would she listen to music she doesn't understand. All BTS fans want are for them to respected as music artists and as people, it's not that hard. BTS actually have the 3rd most liked video on youtube with Dynamite that has over 29 million likes and Boy With Luv ft. Halsey is number 7 with over 23 million likes. I don't recall One Direction ever dancing, rapping, or experimenting with so many genres so I don't get the comparison BTS always get with One Direction other than being a male group who have worldwide success (and that's no hate to One Direction, I just think they are 2 completely different groups with their style and type of music). The McDonalds meal is over in the US now, it was a 10 piece mcnugget meal with 2 new sauces that were available in South Korea (sweet chili and cajun). All 7 of them have plenty of fans (both and women), but there is a thing called the Jimin effect where both men and women find Jimin attractive when they first see him. But if you survey BTS fans on who their favorite is you will get a lot of fans saying they don't have a favorite (or what we call bias) they will say OT7. Love the Golden Girls shirt, it's one of my favorite tv shows.

just reacting to a few kpop mv won’t help you understand the whole industry and the shit they ALL go through to get to where they are. BTS are one of the few who came from rags to riches…they still stay humble to this day. They donate millions of dollars every year to organizations. They have wise words basically saying if you can’t listen to our music without judging and assuming things…you will never truly enjoy the music that comes from this group. Being disrespectful and not open minded don’t get you no where. You can’t just react to Kpop mv and expect kpop fans to just let all these “slick” comments roll by. If you can’t open your mind to the industry and struggle they all go through…you’ll never be able to understand. Some of these idols go through years almost a decade of training PRIOR to even stepping foot on a stage. From vocal, language, dance ect. to forcing themselves to hide their emotions and actions in front of the camera. These reactions are a fraction of what the Kpop industry really is. It’s not at all what you think it might be.
All of them are popular, but the most popular are Jimin, Jungkook, V. I would also say Jimin and SUGA are the members who have the most fanboys. SUGA because of his rap, producing and songwriting skills. Jimin because of his angelic voice, personality and looks
BTS is not just a "south korean group", they are the BIGGEST BAND/MUSIC GROUP in the whole world and their Fandom named Army is the biggest, strongest and the most powerful & versatile fandom on the planet. They can't be categorised just under Kpop anymore. BTS is a world phenomenon. They have strong massive fan bases spread throughout the 7 continents. You guys really be living under a rock coz BTS is so Massive and huge that they are everywhere, just everywhere from being No. 1 at the Billboards to grammys and what not. They have totally dominated USA, UK, Asia, Europe, the whole world basically. They are crazy deep & versatile with their music and discography and insanely dope at the same time. The kind of music they make is extremely unique. U gotta RESPECT them as they legit went from rags to the riches solely through their extreme hard-work, passion & extraordinary talent. Above all, they are great human beings & the most kind and humble musicians u will ever find.

You guys need to stop and watch nothing else until you watch some BTS guides. I recommend the ones by xCeleste and Ida S. You are asking ARMY to understand you, and we ask reactors to understand both BTS and ARMY. There was a difference with this reaction because everyone showed respect…now I think it would be good for you to understand the history that led to ARMY’s protective energy. Also, gaining an understanding of the demographics of ARMY wouldn’t hurt you. I am a 55 year old American woman with a college-age daughter who was ARMY first. She introduced me to them years ago, but it was their mad success last year that truly made me sit up and take notice - then the “I just wanted to know their names” phenomenon took over and I fell headlong down the rabbit hole.

There are different guides for different people with different focal points. Generally, they aren’t “wrong.” It’s my opinion that these guys need to get to know the history of the group and of ARMY because of their remaining preconceived notions and what they clearly don’t know at this point - xCeleste’s videos - again, in my opinion, are the best for that purpose. Feel free to suggest a different, additional one that focuses on the music if you like.

I appreciate that you took the time to explain your point of view. I am an army mom of 44 years and I felt the previous videos were a bit disrespectful to others cultures than the American way. I appreciate that you try to educate yourself by watching. Will encourage you to continue to listen to your public and educate yourself more by listening to videos explaining the Kpop genre, BTS history, South Korean culture. That what I did for my teenager daughter and it made me appreciate music, culture for the others parts of the word...I am thanking BTS for that and reinforcing my relationship with my daughter.

I appreciate you being real and not faking reactions for clout. I feel like most reaction channels that do kpop or BTS related stuff overreact to get the views and subs and it’s so wack. It is unfortunate that Americans tend to have stereotypical thoughts about certain cultures because some of us stick to what we’re used to but it’s never too late to learn and branch out to different stuff. Yeah, the outfits are fire too. Usually, they wear high fashion brands. In this video are mostly Yves Saint Laurent and Gucci. The jerseys are Adidas. And a couple of months ago they became global ambassadors of Louis Vuitton. There was a fashion show with BTS, they showed the fall/winter collection. Accept singers and dancers, BTS can steal every model's job, they are no joke.

Okay a couple of things, to understand Army is to understand what purity, innocence and being humble is. If you keep those in mind its easy to understand army as that is how they view the boys. They are not perfect by far but they went through alot to get to where they are right now and deservingly so. The other way to get to understand BTS or Army is stop thinking in terms of country or culture. Music is just that, if the UK does an R & B song its not a UK group, its still R & B same if it was from a latin armerican singing it. So Kpop maybe a different style of much but BTS explore lots of genre's or music it isnt "asian music" "South Korean music" or "Another culture" it is just that music. You have 3 rappers and 4 vocalists in the group with different flow and styles, RM (Leader) his song "Joke" will blow you away, and Suga who goes under rap name Agust D, his song "Daechwita" will blow you away with rap and video quality. Some songs are more cultural for sure but that doesnt necessarily appeal to new army but it does to existing army who understand the references....their song idol is one of those. They play around with vocals and genre's. There is no we are american as you say as BTS are now global, alot of people from all countries are coming to terms with BTS and slowly understanding BTS, we dont destinquish by countries, we understand music appreciation.....
I can see you probably had a talk with them about being more respectful to bts since the mic drop reaction video. and yes, jimin can steal your man ;)

Just and fyi. It is very disrespectful to call a South Korean Chinese, or a Japanese person Korean. I know your boy wasn't intentionally saying it, but that's one reason he got a lot of hate. And us being American is NOT and excuse!! I don't know exactly what nationality you are but I bet if I just called you something I think you are and I am incorrect, you might be offended as well. Asian people and their different cultures are all very proud of their heritage and where they have specifically come from. Just like African Americans are proud of their culture and heritage, or Native American, or Spanish, or Mexican etc. Call a black person white and see how they react. But I do appreciate you trying to explain and from what I have seen of you, you are respectful. But your boy in the Willy Wonka glasses comes across like a disrespectful smartass, although he was much better in this reaction so thank you to him. I suggest he read up some on different cultures and he needs to definitely watch the guides about BTS and where they have come from. They run circles around Chris Brown and the Jabbawockeez. Watch some of their dance practice videos. Also, all but 2 of them do not have a dancing background. One member Jin, had never sang or danced until he was put in BTS. They trained all together in both singing and dancing starting in 2010 and debuted in 2013. You really need to watch some of their guides before reacting to many more of their MV's.
