I hear what you’re saying, but not this year. Hoping that’ll realistically be the case by next year. Be awesome if by next year there’s only the usual 2-3 games like it was once upon a time before the Harsin hire. Seeing a bunch of overconfidence and high expectations from Auburn fans for this year that’s not really warranted. At least not yet just going off the first 3 of what should be gimme games. Have a bunch of confidence in what Freeze can do as a coach, so I’m more than patient. Will never understand the Harsin hire lol was never SEC head coach material. Probably had more to do with the rich yellawood type guys using their influence/power to drive Gus out. Takes a certain type of mentality and style. Fortunately for us it’s a mentality that Freeze definitely has. Turnover’s have to stop and Thorne has got to step up and make better decisions. War Eagle!
@@lestersmith7 I think when I say that I'm not saying I expect to beat everyone but also looking at everyone else's season looking similar to ours I think we go 4-4 in conference play

😂😂 they didn’t look good at all. O line can’t run block. Thorne makes dumb decisions. Defense looked suspect. We struggled against a team we should have demolished.

@@taylorrenee4880 yes I see it too o-line gotta get better and some of the offense schemes gotta get better we gonna have to have better routes for our receivers too go and last thing our QB is gonna have to make better decisions he's gonna have to be able to extend plays with his feet early in the play or hes gonna take sacks all year they really didn't look great defense is looking good as long as they keep it up but all around gotta get better on offense I wanna see this qb do something tho hes not looking that great as of now hes going to have to prove it to me i dont see anything as of yet to where we got a shot at no ship forsure hes not the guy to get it done

Anyone getting Bo Bix vibes from Thorne. Take us all the way down to the 10 yard line with beautiful throws and awesome runs. Then on 1st goal at the 8 he throws into triple coverage when he could've house easily tossed it out of bounds. So frustrating. I see improvement but I just don't know what he's gonna do against the seeds SEC big dogs this year. The line of z Texas A&M who arguably has the best playing qb in the league right now. LSU is just gonna stack the box and blitz from different different directions. Georgia, just expect the Georgia defense to show up and do their thing but I hope Payton shows up and delivers a lights out performance. Don't forget this guy has played in MANY BIG GAMES as a younhster. I've seen improvement from week to week. You could watch least weeks tape against Cal and tell Thorne different trust his line and bailed withim seconds with multiple wr wide open. You could def tell Hugh and Montgomery addressed that this week. Thorne trusted line more and didn't bail so fast. He hit open wr because of that. If he can continue to improve on that we have ourselves a solid qb. I also like like the progression of the o line. They're improving from week to week. Wr as well blocking and catching. Jeremiah Cobb needs more carries. That guy is a rocket. If he gets a step on a defender, he's gone.

To me it looked like the forced throws were designed. We could've ran the ball in easily but if you rewatch you can tell that we're practicing things we're bad at.
I think Montgomery and Freeze were using this game as a "live'' scrimmage. Could they have punched it in from the 1? Absolutely. Did they get more value out of allowing Thorne to throw in tight coverage? I think so. There wasnt much question about if auburn was going to win this game, so let the guys try some real life scenarios.

On Samfords first TD I noticed that the right guard and right tackle both dropped down and blocked our rush. Aren't those cut blocks?

A chop block is a penalty in football that is called on an offensive player when they block a defensive player below the thigh who is already engaged with another offensive player.
Google is your friend. Look up the rules and you will get your answer. It wasn’t a penalty, because the defender wasn’t involved with another offensive player.

You’re thinking of cut block. Chop block means 2 offensive players are involved. Cut block is 1 player

Hi Auburn Fan and Players,
I heard the news that Auburn won the game against Samford with score of 45-13, but I am not sure how well Auburn is going to perform at first SEC game against Texas A&M. I hope to see if Auburn can try to create a good plan of leading the team to shoot for the victory in the game against Texas A&M. I think that the offense can try to make big improvement in the mentality , decision making ,and the execution of the play good enough to win the game. The defense I think for Auburn can try to go big in improvement of making a strong chance to shoot for the shutout in the game by dialing aggressive pressure on the backfield players such as quarterback and runningbacks. The defense can also try to improve technique on tackling and also pass coverage on wide receivers, tight ends, and much more.

It's slang for a sucky player
That’s when a player sits out for their freshman season either to get better and be able to play at the college level or because of an injury or because someone better is ahead of them and they won’t get much playing time. It just lets them get an extra year of playing time pretty much.

What an ugly win. Ashford looked really good on his one drive and I think he needs his chance. Thorne makes too many mistakes and will lose us lots of games during SEC play. He’s just not a championship QB. I think Ashford would do better and deserves a chance. Anyways, a win is a win, I guess. I’m just not happy with where we are.

Padding stats against a lowly FCS school in the second half to mask serious deficiencies... we've got to have a different game plan to have a chance against TAMU.

@@autk Not a joke and I don’t know why you try to make it seem like FCS is D3. The perennial FCS powerhouses like North Dakota State, South Dakota State, or Montana State would obliterate Auburn. Samford’s good but they’re not a powerhouse. Also we do have business playing them as we used to be in the same conference and have a 120 year old history playing them.
