The girl is supposed to be portrayed as VERY young to depict how extremely young girls are married away in villages, also, it's not that she doesn't wanna go home, if you pay attention to what she said, you can see that she is SCARED to go home because people will blame her, because the society has taught her that no "respectable woman goes back to her parents place without a husband" ...basically she's suffering the consequences of misogyny. She was taught all the household chores and embroidery by her parents but never educated on anything practical, like knowing the way home, how to buy transport tickets etc. This is often done to girls because they are not supposed to leave their house without a man, so addresses of places, home telephone numbers, their date of birth, parents full names etc are considered to be irrelevant information for them.

Just watched "Laapataa ladies". The movie is Simply Superb. The scene between Deepak & Phool in the farm just took it to the next level.
He is so vulnerable in that scene and yet he goes ahead with it.
The Overall narrative & storyline is so good.
This movie is much much better than the big budget South Indian movies and their remakes which have no sense in them - just big loud music, over the top action & tons of over acting. No nuance at all.
It is high time that audiences start valuing & supporting quality cinema over big budget loud movies with over the top acting.

Though it is prominent in many parts of India, particularly in the north and north-west regions (ruled by Muslim invaders), the veil culture is not mandatory in Hindu culture - In some cultures, veil is adorned at the time of marriage and after that, the new bride has to wear the veil in front of elderly relatives for few days as a sign of respect .... Unlike purdah, the brides often take the veil off while travelling or as per convenience -- But it is a film -- so creative liberty taken to set up the premises
Again - not mandatory in Hindu culture, not even during marriage - Hindu women in the West, South-West provinces do not cover the head at all

It's not really creative liberty tbh, in many parts of UP and all, the veil is kept on whenever the woman is outside. Even when they work in fields in the hot sun, they keep the veil on. It's reducing but was definitely a lot more common in 2001.

Yeah i have seen my mother still do it infront of my uncles even though we live in Delhi...so this practice might still be going on villages

Hindu culture is not a monolith like you are trying to portray it as...there are several instances of women being brutalised and ostracised for removing their veils...Also, the concept of ghungat isn't Post-Islamic, Sita mata herself wears a veil in Ramayan. .Similarly Muslim culture is not a monolith either, many muslim women don't cover either. Keep your ill-informed bigotry in check.

it just depends, some families in villages still strictly follow this (stupid) rule, while others don't.

In terms of series reactions. I hope you get back to it. "JUBILEE" and "HEERAMANDI" are really good historical shows that you will love ❤ Genuinely soo good !! Made in Heaven s2 is also something I would recommend you continue with, it's much bigger this time in terms of scale and production ✨

Request you to react to the movie "Lakshya".
It is a beautiful movie. It is based on the Kargil war, though the specific storyline may be fictional.
The Kargil war actually happened and you can watch the actual footage of the war on youtube as a part of actual news coverage.
The acting is good and the Music and the Background score is Extremely good. Plus, it is based on True Events(Not a true story). The acting in this movie is simply Fabulous.
