    Really informative. You have a great way of explaining M/S. Plus you're a female mixer, which is great to see in the music industry.

    there was a point i tried to put one of my tracks into a dubstep chopping routine during a live set, then discovered the hard way that the venue's sound system was mono and the sub bass was one of the only things coming through. this led to a lot of head scratching for about a year until someone on facebook randomly responded to a comment where i was complaining about it. never quite realized how essential voxengo SPAN was till then tbh
    it's been hard to find good resources on how different curves should be setup for best results and stuff like that though so thanks for making this. should help me get a fair bit of stuff at this level sorted out lol

    You are a very good teacher, now I can edit my songs better so when I cover them with guitar or piano I have more space in the same frequency spectrum. You are also very beautiful, thank you for the video :)

    This has been extremely helpful! Ive always wondered why my bass sounds off, but its probably because i wasnt doing mid side eq-ing at all. Thanks for the tutorial!

    Great video, you are very charismatic and very didactic.
    I hope you get more views and more subscribers.
    I only have one question tho: Why did you use fab filter on the voice instead of just using the regular EQ 8? or another way to ask: Why did you use the EQ 8 on the drums instead of the fab filter?
    Why did you use different EQs?

    • @BeckySaifMusic
      @BeckySaifMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used a combination of eq's here to show that it is a universal setting that can be found on many parametric eq's both native to ableton and with third party eq's. Honestly I used fabfilter proq 3 because I find it's visual interface better for demonstration purposes. There are definitely differences between the EQs - for e.g. some are better suited for cutting out unwanted frequencies and some are more suited to adding frequencies back in. There are some differences between eq8 and proq3. The best way to find out for yourself is to copy the exact same eq curve on to both of them and A/B the difference on the same track. I used proq3 for the purpose of this video because of the visual appearance and it's versatility when carving out frequencies. EQ8 has a similar subtractive purpose.

    well explained Becky thanks 👍👏👏 q - how is L and R related to side eq ? do they interact at all?

    • @BeckySaifMusic
      @BeckySaifMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A stereo image can be different on the L and R. You could, for example, have different side information on the left and right. They definitely interact but the result depends on the balance of your stereo audio. Shaping the L and R independently of each other is beneficial for further sculpting the stereo image. The sum of the both L and R channels will result in the mono (or mid) image.

    Hi! There is any possibility of activate english subtitles in the videos of your course? because I dont have an excellent level of english. I would like to know that before buy it. Thanks!

    • @BeckySaifMusic

      At the moment it is not available. I do not have subtitles on my videos. I can look into it for future but I think it might be a very lengthy process to add subtitles. Sorry about that.
