I'm glad the bruise cream moment made it into the show, that's one of my favourite moments in the book, when King's care for Uea shines through and Uea realises that his heart might not be unaffected after all. 💜

All the same content warnings as the show, although the scenes with Pok and the step-dad don't progress as far as Uea being actually pinned down like they do in the show, and the bedroom scenes between King and Uea don't fade-to-black (so it's not appropriate for minors). It's a really good book, and so is Middleman's Love, which by contrast is utter adorable fluff. 🙂

I like what this series is doing in portraying a person traumatized by what happened in their youth and how that continuously affects the present. PTSD is real. I sincerely hope the series addresses it and the treatment/therapy options and doesn’t just brush it under the rug for the sake of romance. Real teaching/educational moment here, please don’t trivialize it. Fingers crossed 🤞.
I think they will not address it as it should. My guess is that they'll keep going the same route, which will upset me a bit because this type of thing shouldn't be portrayed like, "it's my mom, she says "i'm sorry, I didn't realize, with tears " and all is forgiven with a nod and a hug. NO! I'm sorry that won't fly with me. It has upset me in past series this type of thing. Where the one that does wrong always gets away with an "I'm sorry". Maybe i'm not as forgiving but, as a son done that to me? I would never ever speak to her again and block her from my life. She even has the audacity to ask money from him? and the sister! don't know how much she knows what he went through, but she should have the brains to think, if she wants to see her brother, they could meet somewhere ELSE??? I know, i'm overthinking this story. I know not real and for entertainment. But, still, you have a good point and if they show this type of thing, I do agree, they should also not trivialize it or at least, get some common sense on the character and make him cut ties with his mom for good. It's OK to cut toxic people off your life, even if it's family.

The gentle way in which King put ointment into Uea's bruises and blew on them as Uea did for him got me already feeling all kinds of feelings but seeing the precious and subtle smile on Uea's face when he woke up to King's act has me melted. I cannot stress enough how good this series are, I'm in love with it. Net and James are doing an amazing job for real, the way James portrays all the emotions of his traumas and everything is just perfect. At this point the fwb is just a façade they are mutually so in love with each other, maybe this whole thing started bc King saw Uea was not ready to commit but right now you can see that everything is changing. I can't get enough of the story!!
I literally can't with Net and Jame's visuals like James is so pretty and cute, his milky white skin is so flawless while Net is just so handsome and hot, his tanned skin is is literally glowing like honey. they're so beautiful together😩🤌

I knew King would show up amd protect Uea. I'm glad that this series shows how bad ptsd and trauma can be and how it can last a long time and takes time to heal. In most shows rhey just have trauma and then get over it or they don't talk about it. In this series we see many flashbacks from Uea perspectives when his mom and uncle did those things to him. Uea may be an adult but when you have trauma from a young age it can take years to move on from it. You can get flashbacks and triggered easily. Uea has trauma from the abuse his mom gave him. He also has the uncle who SA him and harassed him on multiple occasions and even now. He had a boyfriend who cheated and then stalked him, harassed shim at work and tried to sa him in the parking lot.
Appreciation for this series i thought at first it was only the spice and romance but now after seeing the serie my view changed the way uea character is its so much inspiring to see I don't know how to put my feelings into words but it made me in tears and happy at the same time that he has king bu his side now
Both my partner and I are gay (lesbian), and have been traumatized in our youth by step fathers. It's something you deal with your entire life, especially for me, I have to 100% know that they want me to touch them or I lock up. I really really hope this series addresses how it's a life long battle and deals with how your partner needs to work with you to make it better. I had never addressed it in therapy, my partners understanding has made it better for me, to the point where when I did address it in therapy they agreed that my partner and I would understand deeper than they could, but that I still needed to talk about my darkness and how I felt disgusting etc. One thing I always felt better about was that the flesh my abuser tainted with their disgusting hands has been replaced and my partners touch is all my body knows now. It gets better
Uea's Uncle needs to be sentenced in jail for the harrassments, he's been giving Uea too many nightmares. Someone got to stop him. Also his mom should be blamed for turning a cold heart to Uea.
This is the best plot ever, it really tackles real life problems one might be facing from childhood. Its not about the skinship but educative . lets talk about how top notch this series is ,the whole casts action is flawless 😘😍 netjames stole my heart 😻❤ l. Uea's such a compelling character. the first thing you notice is his beauty and constant and effortless grace and sensuality. Then there is his amazing strength - beset with trauma and pain and people who treat him unkindly, each time he gets hurt he takes a deep breath and just carries on, trying never to show outwardly how much he's struggling. James' performance is excellent.
After learning about and now avidly watching ALL BL Dramas/Series, I now wish I had been born in Thailand as a beautiful Bi/Gay male ! The love they share is tender, sensual, sexy, and NO straight male/female relationships I have ever seen can EVER compare ! I love them

Both my partner and I are gay (lesbian), and have been traumatized in our youth by step fathers. It's something you deal with your entire life, especially for me, I have to 100% know that they want me to touch them or I lock up. I really really hope this series addresses how it's a life long battle and deals with how your partner needs to work with you to make it better. I had never addressed it in therapy, my partners understanding has made it better for me, to the point where when I did address it in therapy they agreed that my partner and I would understand deeper than they could, but that I still needed to talk about my darkness and how I felt disgusting etc. One thing I always felt better about was that the flesh my abuser tainted with their disgusting hands has been replaced and my partners touch is all my body knows now. It gets better

Uea's such a compelling character. the first thing you notice is his beauty and constant and effortless grace and sensuality. Then there is his amazing strength - beset with trauma and pain and people who treat him unkindly, each time he gets hurt he takes a deep breath and just carries on, trying never to show outwardly how much he's struggling. James' performance is excellent.
