They are MTV Push artists of the month for July, already did an interview and played Automatic Sun Live. They will be performing on the MTV VMA’s this year, hope they have a video up for an award
On this new album the main thing that jumped at me, is the use of vocal bends, rhythmic vocals, varied vocal styles, etc. to give the vocal great dynamics.
The whole album bangs! Currently #1 on the metal/rock charts in the UK . Great reaction/analysis! Indeed, they are 3 badass talented classy artists, and totally get what your saying about this song. It has a flirtatious heaviness to it, especially the bridge! Haven't heard cowbell in a minute! Thanx for the reactio! They deserve it!
One day I want to see the ladies watching a couple of Phil‘s analysis, and I can imagine they would go „Cool, we can do all this amazing stuff?!“😅 I really wonder how much is actually intentional and not just because it feels good for them.🤘
😂😂 I’m at the point where I truly believe everything they do is intentional. I thought “maybe” their music just happened to come out that way, but the more I listen to from them, there’s just no way it was an accident. They do these cool music tricks in every song
This was the first song i heard of theirs randomly on a spotify playlist. I don't care what other's think of it, I'm especially fond of it because it was what introduced me to this incredible band. All their albums have been on repeat for me now for over a year. It definitely left me wanting more....
Here's what I like watching you go through these songs. You hit on all the bits that I love after many listens, those little things Dany does with her voice and so on, but you can tell us why those hit like they do. And then we just end up loving The Warning more because it confirms how skilled we always knew they were.
Great reaction! Thanks for teaching us about vocal bends as well as call & response. I was certainly seduced by this song when I first heard it. Thanks for confirming this hidden seduction, although I think they were quite 'up front' with it. They sure know how to lure us in. I'm hooked on The Warning!
Another great reaction! MTV had no idea what it was getting when they put these ladies on the small stage. The producer’s “Holy shit, I’m a fan“ on the open mike will go down in Warning history. It’s little wonder MTV featured them as “push artists” 6 months later.
This is the first song I have ever heard from The Warning, on Octane radio. To see this video {and after someone else said Mtv allows three takes for the performances, yet the Warning did both Evolve and More in one take}, putting faces to the musician Goddess Geniuses, I am very blessed by their art.
This performance of More elevated the song for me. I love More! Great video Phil! "We just killed it, no big deal, what now" And then they played Evolve next.
They can drive a song with drums and bass like no other. The intro to this is proof that the foundation is the rhythm section with vocals and then guitar added on top.
Your instincts are spot on. When this song was released it was very polarizing to the longtime fans. It was the first song after the Error album and the big fear was that The Warning was going in a pop direction. This live performance took away some of that fear since it hits harder than the studio track. But, now that the new album Keep Me Fed has been released, this is in fact the most pop-oriented song, IMO. I wish the little breakdown at the end went a couple bars longer, but they did their job here and won over some new fans.
When this song first came out, people were criticizing it because of how fun it is. I remember reading comments from The Warning reminding everyone that they are still young women barely out of their teenage years, and sometimes they just want to have fun. I completely agree with that. They've been working hard since they were pre-teens. If they want to release a "pop" song, more power to them. They still release heavier songs and still kill those, too.
Around that time they commented, "KMF is going to be our heaviest album yet" (paraphrased) and some people refused to believe them based on _More_ . Well, I suspect those same people will have a different opinion if asked now... 😋
I also feel they knew this audience and had to make the most of the opportunity, especially knowing what the MTV has become, and The Warning realized they had to do "MORE" first to draw in the crowd and make the music relatable, and then slayed them all with no survivors with "EVOLVE"- which as we all know was a big audio dynamite face melter and fan maker.
Chuckle. As a long time Patron of The Warning I can assure you the girls know and embrace the fact they are beautiful women. They work very hard at keeping in physical and mental shape. They spend lots of time on makeup, clothing and accessories. It’s ok to recognize them as beautiful women.
The girls know. The fans? Not so much. The parasocial cringe in this particular fanbase is fucking outrageous. Just have a look at the reactions and discussions when anyone actually calls them what they are. Or the hilarious debates about the single F-bomb on Consume.
@@Killerpixel11I’ve encountered this before when Haley Reinhart began her career. There are many fans, parents, looking for ‘wholesome’ examples for their young children to look up to, their daughters in particular. As the artist grows up and begins to explore their femininity, bring it into their act, is when those parents start pushing back to a very natural development in every young female’s growth. I don’t blame them for looking for examples for their children, but that’s life 🤷🏻♂️
@@HaleysTusk What does my head in is the pendulum it goes through. They'll jump down the throat of anyone who frames them as "little girls" and how they're "strong young women carving their way in a male industry!" But when anyone then puts ANY attention on that aspect, they'll swing over and act like they're the creepy uncles of "their little girls" It's not like they're doing a full Miley Cyrus on stage, are they? And one can point out that they are, in fact -NEWSFLASH!- extremely attractive young women without being creepy about it. Matter of fact, I find the behavior of these simpy wannabe family members a lot more creepy than any comment about them being sexy. Also, it's not like they're some controversial or Swift-level famous artist (especially outside of Mexico) and yet they already feel the need to travel with a dedicated bodyguard...
I like this song much better live Ale's vocals stand out more in this version she sounds awesome backing Dany's amazing vocals. FYI Dany was asked in an interview what famous person dead or alive she would like to meet and she picked Prince. Great reaction you're gonna love the album they do so many cool things throughout every song. I'm with you let them go where they chose I'm always gonna follow. Great reaction thank you. 🔥⚡
Good on you, Phil. Exactly right. They're the artist. We either like it or we don't. Still looking for a TW song I don't like. As for the tongue flick...I only have a 15yr old laptop, so my screen isn't great, however, I think we are seeing her mic. It would have surprised me because I have never seen them do anything as suggestive as that. Dany and her guitar bends, Pau and her insane drum fills, and Ale, Queen of the double bass slide. What MORE could we ask for!!!
This song, to me, is the epitome of DPA's stated desire of crafting songs for this album that they could just have a ton of fun playing live :) Love your breakdowns, as always!
Great reaction, you are a crack! Many hard die The Warning fans have been following these ladies since they were little kids, so, some of them find kind of weird when someone talks about them like grown sexy women...just like what happened with our own daughters. Sooner or later they will have to let it go, just like we did with our own daughters😂🤣
The VMA Performance was mindblowing! You MUST check out "23" from CDMX tho, it has it all. Pau singing the whole song while playing drums, Dany's goosebump-inducing Riffs and phenominal Backup vocals, Ale's killer Bass, and all that topped with lyrics that gives you *the* feels ❤
Another great analysis Phil. As to your question about a Prince influence, in their interview with Allison Hagendorf, she asked “ what artist, dead or alive, would you most like to meet?” Dany’s reply was that she would like to have breakfast with Prince, because she wouldn’t know what to expect. Aside from that reference, I don’t think Prince is generally mentioned amongst their musical influences, but they most certainly know his material.

Hi Phil!! Thanks for your excellent, _truly_ excellent reaction videos on The Warning. I have been a serious fan since Keep Me Fed came out. Sequence of events: Somehow, through algorithm-randomness, i get a notification "The Warning - New Album - Keep Me Fed". Somwhere in the distance, a faint bell rings; "wait... Are these those girls who did that amazing Enter Sandman cover, years ago? Could be them! COOL! Ok, let's buy the digital album, support those girls a bit, and i'll have a listen to how they're getting along, musically." Actually literally fell out of my chair, 3 seconds into 'Six Feet Deep'. O..M..F...G..! W.. T.. F???. And i'm a veteran bass-player and sound engineer. I have experienced more than my fair share of OMG-WTF, really have. But these ladies are _way_ next level. And this ocurred 2 weeks after they had played in Lisboa, and i was only a 45min bus-ride away from Lisboa. 😭 Bought all their albums, watched tons of videos (imho the 'X Aniversary Show at the Pepsi Centre CDMX, 2023' is one of the best live shows i have ever seen/heard on video. Incredible show, in so many ways. Honestly; "Queen Live at Wembly"-level, i kid you not.) And then i started finding a slightly perverse pleasure in watching first-time reaction videos where the reactrix/reactor starts by saying "I've never heard (of) The Warning before...", and i _know_ they're in for a massive surprise. And, interesting statistic: 100% of the reactions i've seen conclude with "Amazing! I want to see more of The Warning!" _That_ is a statistically significant indicator of absolute top quality music, i reckon. I really enjoy your videos, because you actually offer some interesting things to say, and your honest opinion on _why_ and _how_ it's so good. Above and beyond the totally expected "Wow, that's really good" 😁 I don't know anything about vocal techniques, but i _can_ tell good from bad vocals, and good from bad music (i was alive and learning sound-engineering in the mid-90's, when the horrible mis-conception of 'music as a product to be consumed by a market' reared its ugly head.), so i do find your videos informative and entertaining. And, i agree. The Warning, these three amazing sisters, are incredibly good at what they do. Hats off! May i humbly point out one aspect of this song (MORE) that you seem to have missed. No biggie, others have missed it too. But i can forgive y'all. You're not bass-players. 😉 In the chorus, with "I know you love it! ..." Ale is playing a version / echo of the synthesizer sound thing from the intro. _By hand._ _Live._ This is so friggin' _fast!_ 16th notes? 🤔 And _bending_ down, i think, in sync with Dany's guitar bend. 🤯Jeeezz. 😲Honestly, i don't really know what, or how she does it, but you can bet your favourite donkey that very, very few human beings on this planet could pull that off.
I remember Dany saying she was proud of her background intro guitar that she played on her baritone Fender, although finding the correct gauge strings was difficult.
Love your reaction as always. You were spot on abouf a large pirtion of the fan base not "loving" the direction of this dong. If you listened to the studio version it is a bit more pop but....im here for it. They want to play fun stuff that still rocks underneath. And live your shout outs to Dany. She's such an underrated frontwoman and vocalist. She FEELS everything and you can't help but feel it as well!! Id live to hear your reaction to Six Feet Deep off of their new album. It rocks with a killer chorus.
I love this song too, Phil. It was the first from the new album released and, yes, long-term fans did raise an eyebrow to it (myself included) when it first came out. But I think most (if not all) fans have grown to love it.

You are on the right track, the perfect track! You might try a couple of interviews before you go to the concert. Alison Hagendorf does 2. One a year ago and one recently 6/27 I think. They are really at ease with her and the interviews will give you a great introduction to the girls. Even if you don't react to these videos, you'll love watching them. For me, it made listening to their music even better.
Ales slide on the bass also gives the "bend" vibe and I really like her bass lick coming out of the bridge. You are correct. Those of us who are older rockers had a difficult time getting on board with this song. However with that said, we really like this live version. The studio version just doesnt kick you in the face like this does.
When More was released some had doubts. Said it was to poppy. But I think that doubts ended quite quickly, when the doubters began to like it 😀 BTW - I have liked More from the beginning. And ... as long as they rock hard, they can do whatever they wish. And More do rock hard, in its own way.
I’m fairly certain that Pau ‘flickering her toungue’ at 11:12 is her microphone moving and not her tongue, although it really does look like it XD

The girls new the assignment, they gave it 110% on this song and Evolve to show MTV and the world that they belong on the biggest stages.
Surprised you didn't notice/comment on the cowbell right after Pau gives the "1, 2, 3"!
@@jonathanenderle5843 it's called a Pau bell
@@matt8097 The fry holder.
@@TylerLL2112 only during practice
@@matt8097 Haha. I'd hope so. Take care!
They are MTV Push artists of the month for July, already did an interview and played Automatic Sun Live. They will be performing on the MTV VMA’s this year, hope they have a video up for an award
Do you know that they are playing the MTV VMAs this year or speculating that they will? Would certainly seem like a good bet.
Dude, I really hope you have some kind of teaching gig somewhere. You are so damn good at it.
The “taking rock too seriously and missing the having fun with it” is exactly what Pau says about their new album!
Pau-Bell!
Well, in an interview, Dany was asked what celebrity dead or alive would you like to have a dinner with and she answered… Prince 👍
On this new album the main thing that jumped at me, is the use of vocal bends, rhythmic vocals, varied vocal styles, etc. to give the vocal great dynamics.
And then it got ruined with the production. And then they revive it again when playing live.
@@Killerpixel11 absolutely nothing wrong with the production on the album. Got the FLACs through my sennheisers and it is crisp and savage. 👌
Absolutely EPIC live performance!!
MTV has been warned!
They are the best power trio of XXI century!
Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
Yeah, Danny’s closing expression. Icing.
This band is bringing rock and roll back
The whole album bangs!
I don't know what I love more nowadays, watching you being all nerdy over them or the girls rocking. 🤣🤣🤣 MOVING ON!
Here's what I like watching you go through these songs. You hit on all the bits that I love after many listens, those little things Dany does with her voice and so on, but you can tell us why those hit like they do. And then we just end up loving The Warning more because it confirms how skilled we always knew they were.
They wanted to make an album that would be fun to play live and that is exactly what they are doing
Definitely my favorite Phil reaction! Fantastic!😂
Look at Dany’s eyes here……….Moving on!
😍🤫🤐
Another great reaction! MTV had no idea what it was getting when they put these ladies on the small stage. The producer’s “Holy shit, I’m a fan“ on the open mike will go down in Warning history. It’s little wonder MTV featured them as “push artists” 6 months later.
I'm excited for HYCAD, that one gets me everytime!
This is the first song I have ever heard from The Warning, on Octane radio. To see this video {and after someone else said Mtv allows three takes for the performances, yet the Warning did both Evolve and More in one take}, putting faces to the musician Goddess Geniuses, I am very blessed by their art.
Don't change a thing! You rock!! I'm hardcore TWA f'sure and...I love this song!!
This performance of More elevated the song for me. I love More! Great video Phil!
"We just killed it, no big deal, what now"
And then they played Evolve next.
The music, the music, the music! I agree with you, wholeheartedly. I think you avoided the mines. ;)
No matter how bad a day I've had, I can always come back to these TW reactions by Phil Zero and it brightens my day. Best TW reactor on YT.
Spicy!! 🌶️
Another fun reaction. As mentioned, Hell You Call A Dream will blow your mind!
I think that will be next! 💜🤘🤠
Damn your analysis videos are great! hope you'll do more content apart from The Warning
No, Phil, you are doing *_Grreeeaaaattttt !!!!!_*
We are really digging what you are putting out !!!!!
Won't ya -Phil- Fill my void ! 😅😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the great reaction! I love MORE. This new album really shows off their versatility.
What now, they busted into Evolve, where you said Pau’s scream of destruction was Impossible, but she does it every show, like yesterday in France.
They'll jump down the throat of anyone who frames them as "little girls" and how they're "strong young women carving their way in a male industry!"
But when anyone then puts ANY attention on that aspect, they'll swing over and act like they're the creepy uncles of "their little girls"
It's not like they're doing a full Miley Cyrus on stage, are they?
Phil Zero your a hero I want More!! 👍🏼❤️
😁 quote " You already know the vibes ... blank blank ... ahh hem, Moving on " ... totally enjoy your reactions Phil..
Welcome to Dany's effect!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This song, to me, is the epitome of DPA's stated desire of crafting songs for this album that they could just have a ton of fun playing live :)
Love your breakdowns, as always!
This song fits perfectly on Keep Me Fed
Phil, your reactions are the best. After your comments the tracks sound much better! You make music visible.
The Warning!! 🔥 🤘
🤘💜
Another great analysis Phil. As to your question about a Prince influence, in their interview with Allison Hagendorf, she asked “ what artist, dead or alive, would you most like to meet?” Dany’s reply was that she would like to have breakfast with Prince, because she wouldn’t know what to expect. Aside from that reference, I don’t think Prince is generally mentioned amongst their musical influences, but they most certainly know his material.
Master of the editing, I enjoy how light and deep at the same time you react and add to our experience. 6:16 Good call before you get in trouble ( no playing around a Mexican wife) ooohh NO!!! But way too funny to forget thanks.
Greetings from México ❤️🇲🇽
BTW Danny is part of a legacy of masterful Mexican singers throughout the years like Jose Jose, Luis Miguel, Pedro Infante, Juan Gabriel, Natalia Lafourcade, Vicente Fernandez, Lola Beltran. And rock bands like Caifanes, Maldita Vecindad, Mana, and many others. Something WE ARE SO PROUD TO ALWAYS HAVE. ❤️
I'm a man of simple tastes, I see a new reaction of Phil's, I click and see many times... The best reactor to The Warning
Bought all their albums, watched tons of videos (imho the 'X Aniversary Show at the Pepsi Centre CDMX, 2023' is one of the best live shows i have ever seen/heard on video. Incredible show, in so many ways. Honestly; "Queen Live at Wembly"-level, i kid you not.)
And then i started finding a slightly perverse pleasure in watching first-time reaction videos where the reactrix/reactor starts by saying "I've never heard (of) The Warning before...", and i _know_ they're in for a massive surprise.
Another 80's throwback you missed, The CowBell? As usual amazing reaction. 🤘🤘🤘
You're an amazing analyst, Phil! 🤘Keep it up, and more The Warning ⚠️ More, more, MORE! (pun intended 😂) ⚡️
Phil, Keep Us Fed! 😂
Phil is seeing his channel grow by leaps and bounds and pretty soon he's going to actually join the band
You are the man, I love your excitement.
And thanks for the musical expertise🤟🤟🤟
I'll tell you Phil. I gave it even money about a minute or so in if you would say the word SEXY 😂😘🎯🔥💎🥇
... because let's face it, this song PURPOSELY oozes it. ⚡⚡⚡
It's a great song, amazing performance and you did a great job reactionalyzing it.
You're still batting 1.000

I LOVE THIS BAND !!
✌️💖🎼
have you done evolve yet?.....this lit the crowd🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
then they did evolve that blew the place apart!!
i beleive this was one of they're best performances of these two songs ever!!
if you haven't done evolve it should be the next one you do!!
⚡️⚡️DPA4EVER⚡️⚡️
Yup! Did evolve a month or so ago! 💜🤘
Great reaction Phil, let the ladies create and we will listen!!!👏⚡️
You are on the right track, the perfect track!
You might try a couple of interviews before you go to the concert. Alison Hagendorf does 2. One a year ago and one recently 6/27 I think. They are really at ease with her and the interviews will give you a great introduction to the girls. Even if you don't react to these videos, you'll love watching them. For me, it made listening to their music even better.
Phil, your guitar is beautiful! 🤘
Thank you!! 🙏🏻
Yet another amazing analysis! Anything you need to change, you ask? No, it can´t get any better - just keep it up.
Thank you! 💜🤘
Ales slide on the bass also gives the "bend" vibe and I really like her bass lick coming out of the bridge.
You are correct. Those of us who are older rockers had a difficult time getting on board with this song. However with that said, we really like this live version. The studio version just doesnt kick you in the face like this does.
Such a fun song! Rock needs more fun and TW delivers!
YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!❤😊
Phil: "Take me to bend city!"
... MUSICALLY, Phil. Musically!
You are the best out of all the people who do these reaction videos
When More was released some had doubts. Said it was to poppy. But I think that doubts ended quite quickly, when the doubters began to like it 😀
BTW - I have liked More from the beginning. And ... as long as they rock hard, they can do whatever they wish. And More do rock hard, in its own way.
I love how you work to be respectful and end with “that was so hard”. 😂. Love the analysis !!!
