    How is this channel not growing much faster. For me, its one of the best sports pods out there. Yes I know they are specific to the Bills but other pods could learn from the family vibe we have here. Just my opinion.

    Shakir was the passing offense at Boise State. He was the man, I would say the number one receiver his senior season, didn't phase him then. He has proven himself against NFL defenses. So I think you are dead wrong on this one. Shakir isn't going to back down from any challenge if anything he'll embrace it. Plus I feel he has the skills to excel.

    If Von has a 5-sack game against a bad opponent, but only has 3-4 across the rest of the season, you wouldn’t call that a success. There’s no number. Sacks are only one metric. Does he consistently disrupt opposing QBs? That’s how I’ll measure his rebound.

  • @RageDaug

    I dunno. Maybe I'm the dumb one, but I have a different definition of #1 receiver than just "here's where he lines up". I mean, if that's the case, every team literally, by definition, has a #1 receiver.
    My definition of a #1 receiver is a receiver who the defense knows is going to get the ball, where the covering corner constantly gets safety help, but still finishes the game with the most catches.
    If I can go into the way-back machine, it would be like when we had Moulds & Price in Bledsoe's first year in Buffalo. Both with 94+ catches and 1250+ yards. Some might say, "that's 2 #1 receivers" based on their production. But when Price went to Atlanta, where he was the #1 guy, he dropped to 800 yards & 60 catches. When Moulds was the defense's focus, he could still catch 100 balls. Price could only do that as the #2, when the defense are focusing on the other guy. That's why Diggs was a #1. Even when the defense knows he's getting the ball he still gets 100 catches and 1100 yard year after year.

    I'm not "worried" about wr at all. I know it's going to be completely different and maybe it will be not the best season for receiver yards but I dint think it will be a prob for knox, kincade, cook and even davis to make up the difference. And I think shakir, samuel and coleman all have potential to hit 1000yds and I would not even be shocked if 2 of them do it, not like 1200 each but just over 1k each would not shock me.
    Basically the "worry" about the wr room is that we don't know what guy will get 150 targets oh no so scary.

  • @Marauder92V
    @Marauder92V หลายเดือนก่อน

    The classical definition of a #1 receiver is the one most targeted. And based on what we have on the roster, it’s a TBD. The training camp evaluations will start defining who that will be - if anyone. I think we’re going to see a “spread it around” approach.

    The loss of Diggs will actually be beneficial to Josh Allen and the overall offense. Diggs was a distraction and frustration for Josh. When Josh was throwing to Diggs it was usually into double coverage. Josh will have more freedom to be Josh Allen and improvisation when Josh is most dangerous to other teams. In addition Josh will have a major chip on his shoulder this year. Josh will make it very very clear that does not need Diggs.

    Yeah I don't see MVS as anywhere near WR1 I think he's closer to a cut candidate than WR1 as for Samuel I feel he has a much greater route tree and can be a much more consistent play maker on all three levels of the field with a much greater ability to produce YAC as well.

    • @Rumplesti1tskin
      @Rumplesti1tskin หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed. I don't think you can get much wronger than identifying MVS as the No. 1. I think MVS makes the team due to his size and speed, but he'll be on the backend of the WR roster: Samuel, Shakir, Coleman, Claypool, MVS, and Hollins. I think they'll be able to stash either Hamler or Isabella, maybe both, on the PS. Any of those top 6 go on the PS, they get poached.

It's not the number of sacks for Miller, it's when and against who he has them. If he has 2 or 3 that end games against Miami, KC, and/or in the playoffs that's a successful season. With the caveat that I did not like Shakir had a sleeve on his leg during OTAs. Shakir will be the primary wide receiver target on normal plays (expect 12 personnel most of the time) with Curtis Samuel being his primary sub. Hollis will be the second receiver on the field if he shows any ability to be a modest target. His primary role will be to block for the run and Samuel on those stupid flair passes the Bills will try a lot but will be lousy at again this year. MVS will play when the Bills go to 3 wide receivers.

    Sounds like Dan and Mike are having PTSD from gabe davis expectations. Two totally different guys and play styles. I dont see shakir disapearing for 3 weeks in a row multiple times during the season. We leaned on him to close the season last year and are going to lean on him again. Hes not Justin Jefferson but on our team hes gonna be #1
