We don’t need to be negative, after all , you and I and everyone else aren’t perfect either. They did the best they could do, and I am going to except that, and be thankful what they accomplished. We have a great coach, and great players who did their best. I’m going to praise them , and hope for different turn out next year. We have 1 perfect team, and I don’t believe they will end up perfect. Look at your failures and will help you to more humble.
I don't know about other Rebel fans, but I'm having a very hard time getting excited about any influx of talent. The '24 team had as much or more talent than any OM team in history, and of all things to cost us the "big time" was our....OFFENSE. Supposedly the Rebels are led by an "offensive genius/savant/etc," yet somehow that same "brilliant" offensive mind laid eggs when it mattered most. Just how much talent does a football team need to reach the heights available to them?
I get it but some very talented team’s wearing crimson tide colors fell short in years past (granted only 4 teams got in) but bama didn’t make it this year either. One of our issues was O Line and they are working on that both in recruiting high school and the portal.
I agree with the comments reminding that many top talented teams have lost games they shouldn't have and didn't win expected championships. It's way too early for a pessimistic take for what should be a marathon run toward a championship-trending program.
@@rickrhoden1 I wouldn't classify my attitude as "pessimistic." I'm thrilled with the overall state of OM football. Lane Kiffin has been a Godsend. I'm just a bit flat when it comes to news about incoming talent. No amount of talent will alter Lane's devotion to analytics. He's going to follow the math wherever it leads him. I've been reading about the weaknesses of analytics, and they are compelling. They fail to take into consideration things like momentum and the specific strengths and weaknesses of the opposition. In other words, whether to go for it on 4th and 5 from your own 42 is regarded in the same light whether you're playing Middle TN State or Texas. That's a bit overstated, but not by a lot.

Georgia and Bama over the last 10 years have had better rosters than the one we just had and they didn’t win it all every year
