As of now, there are 19 still in Iowa, 3 of them being inactive, 3 of those 19 are 2001s because fort calhoun also had 2001s. 1 is in missouri inactive and one is in Michigan active.
yeah, the P10/15 lineup was from the 80s. this unit came from a power plant thats since deactivated and was put here around 2007 and painted it red. the red paint didnt last for crap tho.
@@IowaSirensProductions Yeah you can tell the original Ft. Calhoun blue was impregnated into the fiberglass as ACA did with the majority of their products. the ACA demo tapes even references that as such
Awesome Video, DJ! I'm so glad that we were all able to go to this unit!
Same here! its was awesome! cant wait to meetup with you for more tests again.
holy shit this thing looks like it just committed a murder! 😱

Loudest siren I have heard yet. Glad to see they have it on a regular schedule now.
@natej4230 yeah same, I did not expect it to be that loud. That has to be around 127 to 130db
Awesome, awesome indeed my friend
Oh, so there is my assassin mate! Thanks mate, appreciate your find! (Lmao, just reffering to that janky red paint, settle down)

You found a reverse wired awesome!
@@Sirensofiowayouknowme it's not reverse wired
@@IowaSirensProductions ok
yea it would be rotating the other way if it was reverse wired
@@Mr.csworldofrandomness and it is rotating that way, I think.
@@Sirensofiowayouknowme nah it would rotate this way (th-cam.com/video/EhPvftSPlQM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YH1GGutygtUwkprR), not the way this one is rotating
Oh lord that paint looks TERRIBLE! but sounds great! they really gotta repaint that thing
I knew it, you actually have to activate it normally
Question how many ex fort Calhoun sirens are in Iowa and when were they installed
Also about how many were there
As of now, there are 19 still in Iowa, 3 of them being inactive, 3 of those 19 are 2001s because fort calhoun also had 2001s. 1 is in missouri inactive and one is in Michigan active.
What year were they put up in Iowa
@@747jack Alot of them were put up around 2007-2010 with different paint.
Ok I was just wondering because the system seemed pretty big
Another single phase P-15 that could use new start capacitors lol

that’s not a p15 thats a p10
This is a p10
@@thattankguy8763 p15s can be dual toned and have a cone intake. But the pitch is kinda lower than a 15 but higher than a 10.
@IowaSirensProductions maybe that swapped the chopper and cone
@thattankguy8763 no it was never single toned or different intake.
