@ this siren was removed as the fire department needed room to rebuild a new fire station. And what happened is ECS came out with a lower bid than their usual company, Fulton. And in result, instead of putting this siren back up, ECS just replaced it with a worse siren, a 130
*M E G A L O P H O B I A* In all seriousness, this was a cool tour. But yeah those things are freaking huge. I honestly think that almost all of the P-50's in Kenosha County are refurbished/remanufactured, since apparently they have those 4 bolts on there at 3:15.

@@firealarmexpert25oh man lol. I would honestly not go into cabinets that were lying around for ages because they could be infested with paper wasps. I opened an old unused mailbox once just for the hell of it and got stung by a wasp as it was infested and I didn’t know until it was too late. It didn’t hurt really bad tho as only one wasp got out
*UPDATE:* This siren has now been replaced with a 2001-130 instead of being put back up. Unknown what will be done to this siren

If this thing ever gets reinstalled, will the county buy a new RTU for it? As it seems that one looks beyond worth salvaging.

Some are not. These were refurbished by Fulton a long time ago
Nice! Would be a shame if it exploded at a certain convention…

@Asorbing_asp SirenCon one was from my town, Schaumburg, IL

BRO THEY SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THIS OTHER THAN THE SCHAUMBURG ONE AHHHHHH
Finally get to see what's inside the rotator mechanism. Funny how they reuse basically an entire ACA Cyclone just to power this thing.
And it came out to be a great idea. Just not repairing it and stuff like that
That thing is massive!
It sure is!

Nope it was removed for construction and note this siren was refurbished by FULTON many years ago so it should be functional still if ever powered up

This will be the next p50 that will participate in sirencon
I’m sure if they used this P-50 nothing would go wrong since the old one already had a crack in it before sounding it at SirenCon
