We're so happy with how it turned out and I also wanted to share with you some clever storage ideas and hacks too for a utility room. It's a lovely utility room, I've always wanted an upstairs laundry but never had the space. Have you ever thought about using more natural products for doing laundry? I can highly recommend wool laundry balls with a few drops of essential oils for use in the dryer, which would replace dryer sheets and scent booster beads altogether. Essential oils can be mixed to create scents you love and the wool dryer balls last for years so you don't have to keep buying them, reducing costs and chemical usage in one go. I changed to this method a few years ago and it's been a game changer.
What beautiful utility room, it just makes sense to have it upstairs, houses in the UK are so badly designed, modernisation is the solution for most old properties.... Hugs from Donna xx here on the Wirral 💕 🏡

The utility room where I live here in Japan is usually upstairs like yours it's usually next to the bathroom (where you shower!) for the same reason you mentioned 💗 loved every every thing you shared thank you for posting very relatable content all the time 💗

Thank you so much for pointing out the safety issues of decanting chemicals into containers with young children around. I always cringe when I see people setting up their pretty drink dispensers with bright liquids and jars with appealing pods that look like lollies on display. It’s so dangerous for your young children or children visiting your home. I was taught through my work to NEVER decant chemicals out of their original packaging for safety.

Spider plants are easy to keep and absorb moisture. This could be a nice house plant for this area.

Hi Emily, I use tumble drier sheets in my drawers & wardrobes to make my clothes smell nice. Good hack to keep off season clothes fresh.

I’d love a utility room! You could get a dehumidifier, it’s a godsend to fry laundry indoors. Mine is on wheels and I put it in a understairs cupboard when it’s not being used, as we don’t have a tumble dryer 😁

Have a search for ceiling clothes drier. Clothes airer that hangs off the roof - perfect addition for ur room and the big sheets. Love the space x

There’s a big window and it’s a part of the house that doesn’t get any sun on it. We also live in England and despite the odd heatwave it’s cold most of the year xx

About 10 years ago I redesigned our laundry and put in decent storage units and bench top etc. I don't regret it.
Your home is so beautiful (the old home was also pretty) can i ask you some questions about youtube? When I was a stay at home mom i spend a lot of time watching your videos and other videos while i folded laundry etc. I've started my own youtube channel a year ago, but i've been doing it more the last months. How did you grow your channel? When started people to subscribe and see your videos? I don't know if I just have to keep on going or there's something i should change. Maybe how i film, edit or maybe it's how talk. If you have any advice to me i would be so thankful 💜 you don't have to, if you don't feel like it💜

I think it would have been cool if you had lifted the washing machine and dryer up so as not to have to bend down to use. A really cool washing machine is the LG one with the twin washer underneath! Lovely room! 👏🏼

I love all your ideas! We have a dryer stacked on top of our washing machine but it’s sat on a work counter and it’s been fine like that for years! I’m so jealous of your hanging rack ! I don’t have the space for that unfortunately but I bet it’s so handy
