    One important note is that after the timed 1 minute stepdown from Turbo there's no thermal regulation at all. This thing can get pretty heated depending on where you live

      Oh yeah? Do you have one of these as well? I guess if you spam the high setting it could heat up a bit more over time. I've used it for several weeks prior to creating this video and didn't have any issues with heat but then again I didn't spam the high mode. Plus its only 500 lumens, that's not really going to burn anyone outright. The assumed 1 minute regulator will probably kick on each time you restart the mode so it more than likely won't get much hotter than what was recorded here in lab conditions. Of course the information from sofirn available for this headlamp was not listed conveniently to the industry standards, so if any information is available else where then you have to do some digging.

    I used it the other night for shrimping the red light high beam is perfect for seeing the shrimp really helps. But after about 2 hours using the high beam red it started blinking and after a minute or two it shuts off. But I noticed the other settings were working except for red high beam.

      But you can't replace the battery and it isn't as durable.
      When the battery dies you'll have to buy a new headlamp.

    Is there any upgrade for d25s version this year?

    • @PreparedGuy
      @PreparedGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There doesn't appear to be any upgraded version of the D25S as of yet. There are a lot of different options on their website but the D25S seems to be the most powerful headlamp they have in this style. 😁👍

    Will this take a protected battery

      I don't know, but think I've read somewhere it takes unprotected and should have an in-built low volatge protection if you are concerned about safety.

    Hello. Please tell me how long the 3000 mA battery is charging. I didn't get it.?? How much does the controller allow in a 1A flashlight or more???

    • @PreparedGuy
      @PreparedGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      A state that information within the first 2 minutes of the video. It's there.

    • @missioner163popov8
      @missioner163popov8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PreparedGuy Thanks. I noticed at the end of the video that you can get a different result with a different charge, but it will probably be worse than with your charger. Then I found out that the flashlight controller does not allow charging more than 0.8-1A. I will charge my 3400mA for 5.5 hours and why the manufacturer did not make 1.5 And for example, it means a penny charge would be 4h. I have a xiaomi phone that is 6 years old and it charges 1.9 A. Of course I find fault , but we live in 2022
