- 👋 Here is everything I hate about my wife's Audi S3! To be fare I'm a big fan of the S3 and it's been a great little compact sporty car, and my wife loves the S3! But no car is perfect and there are a few aspects that are a but annoying with owning the Audi S3. The cupholders are in a bad location and the dash above is angles so it's harder to fit large water bottles in the right side. Your bottles will constantly hit the climate buttons and change your setting. Also they completely block the climate controls and the storage above. When you put the car into park, your finger will also get smashed against the cupholder. Very bad location. Next up is the lack of memory seats. We both drive the S3 and are very different in height. I like that it has power controls at least. But every time one of gets in to drive after the other, takes a bit to re adjust the seat. When the day comes to have memory seating, that will be a good day! Third thing is that if you open the door you'l hear a lot of electronics turning on. It's a bit odd and with the hood open you'll hear clicks and things like that from the computer. Auto headlights stay on for a bit too. Not a big deal but it's very odd that things constantly turn on and off when you open the doors up. Forth thing is that the S3 is a pretty small car. Obviously its a small car, but the more you drive it, the more you realize how space conscious you need to be when loading it up or having extra people in it. Last on the list is that the transmission sometimes doesn't downshift like you'd expect. It will do a very lazy shift several seconds after hitting the paddle. Most of the time it's super snappy upshifting and downshifting. But sometimes it's annoying and slow to respond. A transmission tune will solve it tho! Overall the S3 is a fun little car that works great for us!

No problem for the other things you hate but when it comes to the cup holder, I think it's not made for bottles. It's rather in the doors that they should be fixed.

Yeah they made them for small cups or something. I've been using big bottle for 10 years, so this is my normal way of drinking water lol. However seems like so many 8V owners hate these cup holders. 8Y is much better placed
Hey bro I was watching your Lower Dash Removal vid for a Genesis coupe and wondered if I have gut the entire dash to remove the dashpad. There's no videos of anyone removing the pad and nothing on forums
On the Genesis those pieces came out super easy. Not sure about other cars tho

They emailed me. Still don't have an allocation just yet. Im hoping later this year or early next year. I'm in no rush.
If its late this year or early next year we'll take delivery. But I'm sure within two years after that, we'll outgrow it and either get an RS5 sportback or RS7
pretty sure the noises under the hood after shutoff is the oil being pushed through the turbo until it cools down. had the same thing with my '16 s3... those cup holders definitely suck, my fiance would complain because her larger cups didn't fit lol. I really hope you don't have any of the issues I had with my '16, it had 26K miles and the front axle went bad, oil leaking from the cam cradle, and the 2 middle AC motors went bad and so air would only come out the floor... I'll be sticking to japanese cars from now on haha
My Mk7 GTI also made those noises after turning it off. I always thought it was oil getting circulated in the turbo like you stated.
Interesting on the noises. Supra does the same things. These European cars are a bit odd. So far the car has been good. Drove it 5k miles since we bought it. Cup holders are probably the worst part of the car lol

BONUS DISLIKE: The tail lights. The US still uses brake lights as rear turn signals and it confuses other road users.

Kind of an Audi thing for the car to make noises before starting and after shut off. I have an rs5 that does the same thing. Not to worry.

That’s a fkn huge cup aha, I use regular size bottles or cups and they fit perfect
Yeah I drink a lot of water. We only have these big aluminum water bodies. This car was before people starting using these lol
