The only thing this dude needs is a good team record in the end. That's the only argument people have against him. Dude has already been an undisputed 2 times mvp in terms of individual performance (season 2 and season 5). Dude finished last year like half a point behind Embiid for the scoring title and finished 6th in usage rate, because Kai came meanwhile Embiid finished the season with the highest ball per possesion %, higher amount of free throw attempts, and way less assists than Jokic and Luka. In reality people can hate all they want, but this guy deserves the mvp title

Great game for luka espeacially from the 2nd quaeter , but how much he can carry them and bail them out everytime , and kidd man toook you entire half to read it and go for zone defence which was so easy to see , and almost he killed the game by the end by not taking time out luckily luka made the right decisions to seal it , Lively man is so crucial to this team , and hardy was great the first half , hardaway was good the second half but i cant like his shot selection and the fact as he gets the ball he shoot it no matter what , Trade everyone except lively ...

Although the rest of the Mavs are inconsistent to extremes (each singular player either sinks all or bricks all -- and they take turns, so you'll basically never see 6 to 8 guys in double figures like it happens in Boston or Denver), the fact that Luka is averaging a career-high 9.6 assists (with several games above 15) should mean this might be the less bad offensive support cast he's ever had so far. Intriguing.

I abhor these types of assists when the scoring opportunity was not "spoon-fed" to the scorer. In fairness, Luka has far more "real" assists (lobs, finding open threes) than these pseudo-assists.
The biggest benefiter of these kinds of assists is Jokic. Those dribble handoffs where Jokic screens for Murray and Murray takes two dribbles for the shot. Or the kinds of assists where Reggie Jackson or MPJ gets a pass in the three point area, fakes a shot, defender flies by, then takes three dribbles for a layup.
Jokic is taking his inflated assist numbers to all-time Triple Double and PER levels en route to multiple MVP awards.
@@aldsdwinThe NBA has always been rather lenient with assists so I don’t think Jokic’s numbers are inflated too much versus his predecessors - I think what benefits him more is the style of play and how many more DHOs the Nuggets run. To me the solution is simple - as soon as the player takes a 2nd dribble it’s no longer an assist. Nice use of the word ‘abhor’ btw👍

If you do research about Balkan countries you will realize we good in almost every sport out there, football, basketball, waterpolo, handball, tennis, martial arts, swimming, rowing, skiing i could go no :) Multiple Olympic golds and world titles coming from Croatia mostly, than other countries like Serbia and Slovenia.

There is a reason why Dallas has the most starting lineup changes this year than any other team. Luka has to play over 40 mins plus on a nightly basis just to keep this team afloat.
