The most crucial part of playing Strategist is the mute button. Your duelists will inevitably dive the enemy backline alone in a 1v6 and then bitch repeatedly that you didn’t instant transmission to them to restore their health.

Rocket tips! Deploy BRB in the spawn room at round start to hand out armor chips. 25 extra health is 25 extra health. Didn't forget to destroy it once you are out of spawn so it is ready to deploy later. A character can only be healed by one orb at a time, and for only 3 seconds. Try to bounce orbs off the ground to improve healing up time on your less mobile allies. Stick near walls! You run 60% faster on them, so escape is much easier. Super Dash is performed by dashing during a wall run. You go comically faster and further. Make sure there is nothing in the way or your dash will immediately end. Find ways to sneak this into your route to point to recover from death faster! If you are coming back to point from a recent death, chuck BRB towards point at around 60m to point! You may just save someone. Don't forget to reposition it when you get to the fight.
Also rocket is fairly competent at dealing with someone trying to flank him. His close range damage is very reliable and I've killed a lot of Spiderman players by just shooting them faster than they can punch. It's important to be situationally aware of when to shoot or run away of course

Unfortunately because of the ping wheel, I constantly ask for healing when I'm just desperately trying to ping a fast moving enemy. 😅 I need to figure out a better keybind or something.
I think everyone should play at least 10 games of each class so they can get an idea about what they should expect from their allies and what their allies expect from them
It wasn'r really mentioned in the video but is a key part of Jeff's kit: His bubbles also apply a healing buff. Spit a bubble on a teammate before using your left click and it becomes rapid enough to heal through most damage in the game.
It's also your escape route. When you get pressured you can shoot one to heal, dive and escape, and rinse/repeat until you are safe. Jeff is the only theoretically invincible character in the game, he is just really hard to play well because people just expect healing to HAPPEN. They will refuse to grab your bubbles while a team tries to murder you and the other strategist. I also think his ultimate is underwhelming not because it's weak. It's extremely strong but requires you suicide to get good use from it. Spitting should NOT throw the enemies up high enough they can float back to ground. It should just spit them directly forward.
@@jeanpitre5789 If you angle the camera straight downward while spitting enemies, it'll spit them forward like you want. Still not enough to kill flying/double jumping characters without suiciding, but if you swallow a bunch of people who aren't super mobile, you don't need to jump off the cliff yourself.
Great video. Thanks for posting. Another Cloak & Dagger tip for Strategist players: Don't forget about Dagger's ricochet mechanic. If you bounce her primary projectile off of a wall/floor/etc. when there is a healable teammate nearby the point of impact (I'm not sure what the radius is exactly), the projectile turns into a "smart dagger" and will seek out the teammate. Can be clutch.
The daggers also seek without the bounce, also, whenever you heal a teammate with cloak it heals everyone in a small radius of that teammate (it might do less to the ppl around I forgot)
Here is most of what I know: Healing on impact is 10, triggering an AoE heal for 18. Hitting an enemy triggers the same AoE heal, which DOES heal yourself. You can trigger this even when shooting at full-hp allies when you need to stabilize yourself. Because full-health allies can take daggers, they can also bodyblock you from healing low-HP allies that are further away. Avoid this issue with frequent usage of high ground, allowing more accurate healing. Auto-tracking ricochets only track targets that are within the normal tracking range. You get 1 bounce per shot, so play your angles smart so you don't double-bounce. When a Dagger bounce is too close to an ally, the auto-tracking can cause the dagger to orbit the target. It CAN still hit geometry during orbit, and it WILL fizzle out and provide zero heals. Plan accordingly. Dagger's wall has a healing amp effect to it. Use this early and often to heal critical HP tanks. Cloak & Dagger's walls have a maximum distance of 25 meters. Try to keep within 25 meters of important allies/enemies to guarantee usability of your entire kit. Cloak's wall has a blind effect that lasts a bit over a second, as well as a debuff that increases all damage taken. Use this against snipers, hitscans, and anyone that needs to aim. Cloak's phase-out ability gives Cloak the ability to fly for the duration of the effect. Use this to reach high ground and escape dangerous fights vertically. Cloak's phase-out provides a speed boost for everyone inside. Use this to accelerate out of the spawn doors at the start of a round, especially when trying to break through a spawntrap on the Birnin T'Challah payload map. The ult does damage and healing over time, but the damage is not super impactful. The healing is 220hp per second for each dash. THE ULT STACKS! Use this to heal your team 660hp per second. If done properly, it can help you survive nearly all sources of damage that don't oneshot. (It also breaks yourself out of Groot ult)
As an Adam Warlock main, I ALWAYS forget to use the ultimate in a safe spot. Yes I get people up, but they go down immediately because I get ripped before I can heal them. Thank you!
wasted ult, your own death, feeding your team to the opponents and filling their ult points, losing objective because of this...sounds like you need a new main lmfao
Alot of Adam's do this because the ability is poorly described in game. You place the rez point down when you press the ult. Then for 10 secs, Adam gets an aura from him that rezs players within like 30 meters or so. Adam can move to downed allies and trigger the rez on them
Adam is the best support because he breaks expectations. You expect to dive him, boom, he bursts you and kills you instead. You expect to kill a dps after investing a lot of stuff, boom he's back to full health in an instant. It's all about timing and managing cooldown. Just used 3 ults to win a fight and lost a teammate in the process? Boom, one Adam ult and it's now a 6v5
Important Rocket Tip; Hump the hell out of your tanks. Your heal is next to useless in supporting more mobile characters from a distance, so don't bother. If they want health, they come to you. The mobility is an escape and reposition, not a way to chase down the 0|10|7 Spider-Man diving the enemy. Being small as hell, you also just get hit a lot less by non-aoe fire when near a meatshield. Your goal is not to get kills, it's to be an aggravating little shit with a gatling gun who peppers anyone trying to get a sightline on your big buddy. Force snipers into cover by spraying in their general direction, and grind down enemy tanks trying to start a brawl. You are the vanguard's fluffer.
I don't think rocket is great against snipers considering his low range and high damage fall off. Wish he had faster projectile speed or hit scan so he can reliably hit targets at longer ranges.
Rocket can MAJORLY assist with tank brawls. If your tank is already healthy or you have a support with better single target healing, stay close and drill into the other tank with your m1. Best case scenario you and your tank annihilate them in seconds, worst case you help put pressure on them to fall back. It’s also much faster to switch from shooting to healing than vice versa, meaning you can quickly pivot to keeping the tank alive if things start to go south. Also, pay attention to where your Punisher is at all times and coordinate with him as much as possible. Rocket can juice his ult into the single scariest thing in the game.
@@user-tt6oe2th6b He's not, no, but even a few projectiles can usually make a widow or Hawkeye flinch back into cover. Good snipers realize that they are bottom priority for heals, and try to avoid chip damage when they can help it. It's less about killing them, more making them do anything except dump headshots into your vanguard or squishies.
12:15 God I needed to hear that, it's always I follow them out of position and get dove to buy a duelist a few seconds of life or I don't follow them and I get flamed with "Where are my heals?!"
One thing I can say playing all three types Vangaurd DPS and Strategists. Keep line of sight on each other to prevent "loosing" each other in the chaos of a team fight.
As a Vanguard player, i have huge respect for all support players. The amount of disrespect and nonsense you get is so undeserved. Without supports we would lose.
Also a tip for dagger is that her primary fire heal aoe works regardless of whether it hit an enemy or an ally. So if u have a melee tank dishing damage u can attack their target for additional chip dmg and heal them at the same time getting more value out of her ammo
Local Jeff main. I agree with a lot of your assessment on sharkie mains, I also agree with both the beginning and last statement. Nothing infuriates me more than seeing people either over commit or push past the objective to bully at enemy spawn. Neither situation really works in my teams favor and I’m left face palming. Some tips for Jeff that I’ve learned; you do more damage if your on groots shoulder (goes for Rocket as well), do not rely on your fin mode to escape by walls. Depending on maps it can get buggy and you will get annoyed. Instead save a bubble or two, spit them behind you and travel to them when you are escaping.
Once you learn the maps you use walls constantly. Some people will lose sight of you after you make a corner and roll back because you're already small and hard to track. Much harder up a 10 ft wall
Those "fall back insurance" bubbles pre-placed are so key when Iron Fist or Black Panther are diving you when you retreat as Jeff. Learning the points where you can't go seamlessly with wall climb as Jeff or Rocket is super important, or you get stuck on a terrain point and get zapped out of the wall by someone with good aim.
As a luna snow/ mantis main thank you for the shout out I pretty much have my thoughts on how I can do objective and how to keep people alive I swear I get more kills as a support than a duelist even as a vanguard I get more kills than a duelists and I have the least amount of time on them. I’ve legitimately switched to duelist when people are complaining about not getting heals when they’re out of sight like you’re on your own death mission I’m not
For cloak and dagger: 1) her daggers bounce off of walls and floors and after bouncing will home to people, so if someone has pushed up and out of your sight range you can steal heal them by bouncing off of the wall behind the person. 2) not enough people realise that cloaks right click where you go invisible speeds up teammates, makes them and you invulnerable to attacks such as Jeff, scarlet witch, iron man and phsylocke ult, and allows you to fly during it which can give you a quick escape if you are being dived
God I love the dps slander at the beginning. By now I generally consider dps players as monkeys and whatever they say as monkey noises which I tend to ignore.
I main Jeff when it comes to playing strategist and it’s always a treat making my presence less known to the enemy until they forgot I exist and then surprise em last minute with the ult when they don’t see it coming :) Good video btw
You are all butts and getting yaated by Jeff when I'm balls deep in healing is not only annoying at but super fuckin funny. It's hard to stay mad at a dog shark. But c'mon like everytime ya gotta toss me off the ledge everytime.....
6:28 You get it! Being slippery, despicable and underhanded is what makes him so fun. I’ve got so many MVPs as him, just due to the fact I can damage and heal extremely well as him. Plus he’s really good against divers.
Man I will never take "healers" for granted again 😟 I used to give them so much flak on OverWatch but after stepping into their shoes for one match, it is not easy😭 I got dived on every team fight
Nothing like having Iron Fist on your ass as a strategist to appreciate what they actually have to deal with in backline situations, eh? It's good being a flex player anyways, so you better understand your teammates and positioning.
It's easy, today's match the Venom was constantly on me, but I just switch to Cloak, right click to get to safe position, blind him, dmg him until he is gone or dead The supports in this game are honestly really strong!
Should also mention the team ups are pretty good as well for most of the supports. Adam can give both Mantis and Starlord self res. Rocket can give Punisher and Bucky unlimited ammo and faster rate of fire. Luna can give Namor and Jeff increased dps with cyro ammo, can also team up with Iron Fist to push enemies back. Loki can be revived when Hela gets a kill. Cloak and Dagger can make Moon Knight invisible for a brief time.
For Luna Snow players on console, there's an option in the settings that makes her ult swap to damage mode when you hold the button and go back to healing mode when you release it. Turning this on lets you rapidly swap modes faster than the default setting, which makes you tap the button each time to toggle modes.
No shade, but most of what you said about Adam Warlock’s attacks is wrong: Your primary attack is your close range dueling tool, headshotting enemies with it is your best dps. Burst at close range is quite niche but it is useful if you can charge it behind cover and/or you know there’s an enemy coming. In that case, go for the one shot combo, but charging your burst in the face of any duelist worth their salt will often just get you killed. At long range your primary attack damage is quite terrible, and unless you’re cheating you aren’t gonna hit all 6 headshots required to kill a squishy target that isn’t getting healed. Generally here is where you look for more burst value. Charge it behind cover and spam it for your best long range damage. The projectile velocity is decent so you should get good at hitting this from far away. Then, use your primary attack to poke out any low health targets
Ive been playing Strategists and I like to think ive done pretty well... But this video helepd show i was on the right track but this video definitely helped enforce some things i was lacking as well. Thank you!
Quick mantis tip: Self-boost. You should basically always have self-boost up, as you do pretty good damage that gets boosted to pog damage with it, and you don't have to gamble on teammates being good at the video game to get value with it. That being said, there are scenarios where throwing out heals is more important, like during a push, but it's never a bad idea to keep yourself boosted if you have the chance.
@@jeanpitre5789 SAME. Free speed boost and temporary health regen avoidance is ridiculous, ESPECIALLY at chokepoint escort spawn points. We need that boost! To me, it shows they aren't super skilled with Jeff and I lose a bit of confidence.
OMFG, right?!? I set out bubbles around point for others to grab and the amount of teammates that literally GO AROUND THEM when they're not at full health is ridiculous. Magik, you're getting one TO THE FACE, whether you want it or not!
Note on dagger: Her projectiles ricochet so you can sometime heal team mates around a corner they will home to friendlies even if you can't directly see them. This can sometimes save people who push to far beyond your line of sight
(Cloak and) Dagger is super easy to do okay on, but doing great needs mind-bending tech and gamesense. At the most basic, her primary will heal *yourself* if you're in the AoE, which is easily the best self-healing if you're not getting dove. It just asks you to walk so far up that diamond players can just delete you sooooo often. It's not just Duelists, a good Strange will shoot-melee-E you from 100 to 0 in the blink of an eye. Then there's the ricochet-lock-on someone else mentioned, which can let you heal from ranges longer than your natural lock-on or without LoS... or *make daggers impact a different side of your target* to shift the AoE origin dramatically. On some wider characters, this can be an insane difference-maker, because your primary's second-hand healing is about 3/4 as fast as your bubble Then there's the fact that she has 2 great survivability cooldowns, but they're on different forms. If your healing bubble isn't available, you sometimes can't afford to stay in the healing form even if there's damaged teammates. You need to really understand the other healer to know whether you're okay to hang out in Cloak form for that vital phase-out. Then there's consistently landing your insane Cloak E: it's a Blind + 55 dmg + 20% added vulnerability. Most often you do it while switching to Cloak and back as a way to cheese your reload Finally, your ultimate has a ton of potential, but so many jank edge cases. It has a huge window where you're not CC immune or being healed; it can be done while in the air, making the trail sink to the ground... but not heal you for much of the dashes; it decays in three steps; and its aftermath leaves you free to turn-and-burn the enemy backline as Cloak *if you confidently know that all your teammates are going to be in it*... but getting CCd at the end of it is a death sentence. Bonus tip: I'm pretty sure that Strange ult can make people take double damage from Cloak ult if their body and spirit are both in the goop
Loki tips: His projectiles do 0 damage/healing, it's the splash aoe where it hits that does the damage/healing. So aim for people's feet or walls behind them as it's easier than hitting their bodies directly. (they also cant crit headshot so don't bother) the damage it does has falloff from where it hits, so you still want to try to he somewhat close to enemies. But the heal does full heal in the area no matter how close your allies are to the center Also you can shoot through your clones and full health teammates, if they need healing it will explode on them, otherwise it will keep going, possibly hitting an ally with lost health or an enemy beyond them. So shooting into crowds is the way to go with him. Also for his ult there's an option in the settings to have a confirm on copy if you want to make sure you shapeshift into the right person
One of the biggest points u made here is how ur a support, not a selfless slave, and i keep forgetting that constantly. My mindset is to touch point and die, or chase after an ally out of position, or heal the person who’s not running away from a fight they cant win etc. youre not supposed to pick up others’ slack. Idk why but me and a lot of other support players just become like that, i dont play like that on dps so no clue where it comes from but i gotta shed it
I swear it's because we want them to push and see how we can support them to do it. But they don't see that so we just try to coax them out to protect us and... get wiped.
I absolutely adore the calm manner with which you denigrate the fucking animals that play this game. Thank you for validating all the criticism I make of my teammates while letting my bronze ass (haven’t played ranked yet) feel superior to these fuckups in every way. I will be enjoying your content for a few hours, hell, maybe even a few days. I salute you. Thanks.
i hate it if people hate on cloak and dagger players for also playing cloak and not focus on healing with dagger 100% of the time. like hes there for a reason.
@@penhedlarry7694 goal #1 is SUPPORT. If that's healing, great. Depending on your team and if you're getting targeted by a diver as C&D, protecting yourself might be the better move.
10:31 one thing I learned playing Mantis while I was trying to get comfortable w some strategists; keep track of your heal and buff timers! My first few games I barely looked at them. Once I started to keep better track of them I was making much more strategic heals and buffs leading to better win rates for the whole team.
As a strategist wtf do i donwhen my whole team is flanking and diving and feeding? It seems like in low tier comp thisnis mostly what i encounter. If i get a team that can maintain formation i can get 20k heals, but some times i dont even break four digits because everybody is all over the fkong place.
I'll let somebody know if they are not playing in my line of sight, and I maintain pretty wide lanes. For most cases with divers or scattered players Rocket and Cloak do well. Rockets orbs can bounce to them through doors, and he's got great movement. Cloaks will never miss a target.
Do your best and make sure push-to-talk is toggled off before screaming into the void that is your team's dumb decisions. Regroup mentally and use all the pings. If they don't respond, their problem.
You have no idea how much I adore you for starting off with "Strategists are not Healers" I come from high masters in Overwatch, and it's so crucial to understand that just because you're the only person on the team that can heal, doesn't mean you always should. So many Strategists have crazy dmg potential, like Rocket or Mantis being able to shred unsuspecting enemies in mere seconds, and the sheer utility of _AOE damage vulnerability_ from Cloak makes Zenyata mains Kreygasm. Just because you play a support, that doesn't excuse you from getting out there and getting job done yourself. You'd be surprised how a small raccoon with a mechanized black hole can make you understand the true meaning of C.Y.A.
One thing with loki is that his ultimate duration timer(green timer) refreshes when you use your duplicated heroes ult dont be afraid to wait out counter ultimates before using yours
Not a Jeff main but I saw something done that was very smart. His Ultimate can also be used save and relocate teammates. Is an enemy ult about to wipe your team? Eat them all and run, even if it ends up getting you they'll come back as they were when swallowed.
That's a strategy I recently discovered just before reaching Centurion with Jeff. Saved some of my team from an Ult and pushed them back towards the safer side of the objective and it clicked. And if you get a bonus enemy in there, they're weakened so you can turn around and spit them out for the team to destroy.
Okay now hear me out, I'm going to beg for my instant Magik picking life. I played strategist in ranked and I played tank but my duelist random teammates wouldn't focus the healers so I had to switch to playing duelist my damn self to get things going.
As a loki the best and worst feeling is when my fuckup of a team can't get a single kill with me healing them and i just go behind and 4 or 3 tap theyre supports while invisible
I play strategist 90% of the time. When I'm on my game, I'm on. Teammates ignore my pings for my ult constantly, then complain they aren't getting heals when they're behind walls or rooms away from me. Even if I'm solo strategist, people complain "NO HEALZ" when there are 2 vanguards I'm focusing on and the rest are jumpy/slingy/floating-away-from-me-constantly DPS. The absolutely unawareness that only ONE of their teammates has the ability to heal anyone is astounding. These teammates are like toddlers. Object permanence doesn't exist. They're the center of the universe.
Mantis and cloak and dagger are pretty good choice. Especially for the clueless 😅 The daggers can heal even around the corner if they bouce of a wall. And with mantis it is easier to heal flying characters. Just look up, press right click and that's it From my experience so far, warlock is one of the worst strategists. If your aim is not s-tier and you have a god tier team, then there are way better "healer" whose heals aren't constantly on cooldown.
Warlock has the highest possible peak, or at least he did at the last pro tournament run. It's just a problem of him also having a very high floor to begin with.
JEFF SUPERIORITY as a jeff main right before the match starts typically on domination if you tell your team to group up before round starts you can speed boost so ya can set up on point faster. Also setting up bubbles on the point itself is good in an emergency before the team fight starts, just make sure your team know so they don't stupidly walk into them when they don't need em. Also also getting good at aim is surprisingly useful given his spray has infinite range so healing flyers actually isn't impossible.
Using pings is SO helpful for these things! I usually play with a few friends at a time, but if I'm solo or with loads of randoms, I try to tell them in chat at start that I place bubbles around the map at points with cover they can grab as needed.
"You have the simplest job, you just don't realized it because most damage players are horrendous fuck ups" Imma use that quote from now on, thank you for the inspiration. I am using all strategists besides Clock and Dagger
Rocket has crazy dps from 10m and in. His entire kit compliments this. Play right behind or just beside your tanks and use your lmb to pressure enemy tanks or secure kills with your mobility.
Calling supports "strategists" is so pompous i cant. I imagine my tunnelvisioned on healing tank and tank only Luna main teammate STRATEGIZING how to pop her ult into Iron man ult just right while im 1,5 meters behind her desperately spam need healing while fightning for my life with enemy spudy.
I do think support would be a much better name. However, they were fighting enough overwatch allegations already. I'm just a stickler for not calling it healer because it sends the wrong message to newer players.
I've played Adam warlock several times now and i always use his fully charged alt fire + left click on backliners. You can burst them down if you hit headshots but even if you can't, you still do a lot of damage. Making the dps or strategist to back off to heal. Leaving their tank to fend for themselves.
I actually like the supports in this game, they all feel impactful and useful, unlike mercy or moira. Thats why i only played ana or baptiste back in the day. They have heals, yes, but also unique utility and can defend themselfs.
@@JebblesJunior Pretty much. If I remember correctly, he also has a seasonal bonus, so once that goes away, he will be worse. It would be very nice if Rocket received a buff. Even a slight increase in projectile speed would be great. He probably won’t be anywhere close to Adam Warlock in terms of DPS with that buff, but he’ll definitely be better.
I honestly think (in the current patch) that strategist in this game shouldn't have straight-forward damage, they should have to work harder to get damage and some have to, but luna and mantis (especially mantis) are just dps in disguise
Adam warlock has an anim cancel iirc? Right click and then left click afterwards. Its a weird timing but its almost if not immediately after the right click.
If you die as Rocket in general or more realistically, from a flank, you probably either: 1. got one-shot because of bad position 2. didn't wall run or attempted wall running too late Always be near a wall. I found that the moment you hear footsteps nearby, pay attention and be ready to act like a rat bastard and GTFO. Usually, this brings me to situations where while wall running, I still have the time and luxury to jump, turn around, and fire a heal orb or two at the team from a relatively safe angle while being chased, then continue the run until out of danger and at an angle where I can still bounce heal orbs directly at the team. Don't even attempt to duel Duelist flankers unless necessary because more often than not, they immediately turn their heads toward a different target once they figure out that trying to catch you is going to take A LOT of effort. This cuts the chase short and you can resume doing your thing shortly, unless you pique their interest again and you can do the cat and mouse thing on repeat. Flanking Vanguards, however, I've noticed that you can fire around half of your magazine if you notice them early. If they manage to get to you before you noticed them, GTFO. He's rated 1-star in difficulty for a reason and even getting a fraction of the team's death is just positioning issue.
For me as a Rocket player what I see as my job is to stay alive and running if I have more than one death as him I feel like I'm trolling his entire kit gives me dopamine like no one else I'm just a little unkillable rat running around his mini ult with punisher and bucky team up is just busted the brb is the best designed rez that I ever seen on any game as there is an actual setup and counter play his ultimate feels really underwhelming though as he is the damage boost guy while Luna does the same amount of damage boosting plus immortality it feels really cheap to play someone that has an ult that especiallies on damage boost while the other can do both
His rocket booster give like an extra 20 meters or 10 meters of dash when crawling on a wall so when I hear BP spear hitting to me or any other melee character jumping me I just run to a wall and literally become a Rocket straight to the skybox
The most crucial part of playing Strategist is the mute button. Your duelists will inevitably dive the enemy backline alone in a 1v6 and then bitch repeatedly that you didn’t instant transmission to them to restore their health.

This is how I keep Hulk from going back to Banner as Jeff. Keep big guy up so I'm a less appealing target for the other team's vanguards
Here is most of what I know:
Healing on impact is 10, triggering an AoE heal for 18.
That's actually why I prefer Dagger over Luna. The auto tracking heals.
As an Adam Warlock main, I ALWAYS forget to use the ultimate in a safe spot. Yes I get people up, but they go down immediately because I get ripped before I can heal them. Thank you!
I was wondering why a Warlock gave us free kills by reviving right on the objective
wasted ult, your own death, feeding your team to the opponents and filling their ult points, losing objective because of this...sounds like you need a new main lmfao
Alot of Adam's do this because the ability is poorly described in game. You place the rez point down when you press the ult. Then for 10 secs, Adam gets an aura from him that rezs players within like 30 meters or so. Adam can move to downed allies and trigger the rez on them
It’s always super satisfying getting a game winning clutch rez. I actively tell myself to think of spawns before I hit it.
@@governmentghost01 this is totally what was tripping me up. Makes sense now though!
Important Rocket Tip;
Hump the hell out of your tanks.
I love the description "Your goal is to be an aggravating little shit head with a gatling gun" is just really funny to me
@@user-tt6oe2th6b He's not, no, but even a few projectiles can usually make a widow or Hawkeye flinch back into cover. Good snipers realize that they are bottom priority for heals, and try to avoid chip damage when they can help it. It's less about killing them, more making them do anything except dump headshots into your vanguard or squishies.
@Spyrocrab Widow probably will. But Hawkeyes are usually in the middle of their team spamming for lucky one shots.
As an Adam main, you calling my character the objectively best healer was very ego boosting
Adam mains *RISE* up
@@vintagestealth8802 *BORN AGAIN!*
He said Adam is the best, not you 😂
@@Dunkinnnnnn when did I ever imply that I thought that 🤣
@@user-vi7zu4ul6b I'm just fuckin with you, I'm sure you're goated
Also a tip for dagger is that her primary fire heal aoe works regardless of whether it hit an enemy or an ally. So if u have a melee tank dishing damage u can attack their target for additional chip dmg and heal them at the same time getting more value out of her ammo
Something I learned that's quite helpful is that Mantis's sleep lines up with the leaf UI, so use that as a guide.
Good comms
Thank you for this. People need to realize that just healbotting doesn't win matches, but a mix of good amount of damage and heal does.
I main Jeff when it comes to playing strategist and it’s always a treat making my presence less known to the enemy until they forgot I exist and then surprise em last minute with the ult when they don’t see it coming :)
Good video btw
I love them overtime eats
@Indeed comrade
What?
You are all butts and getting yaated by Jeff when I'm balls deep in healing is not only annoying at but super fuckin funny. It's hard to stay mad at a dog shark. But c'mon like everytime ya gotta toss me off the ledge everytime.....
@ Understandable
Subbed, as a Strategist main, who plays Mantis and C/D, thank you so much for this video! Also keep up the Marvel Rivals Content.
As an Adam Warlock Main, finally someone sees his greatness.
@jaydenyoung9809 we are the perfect humans. Peak recognizes peak.
I can do so much as a stratergist main, but I cannot fix stupid
Exactly. There is no heal for stupid!
I pull double duty: I'm the strategist and I commit the stupid.
Welcome to the land of Flex players.
You will now suffer forever, but it's fine, because you'll learn to enjoy it anyway.
Its really nice to see the two tanks jump in to protect you, when stuff goes right
Nothing like having Iron Fist on your ass as a strategist to appreciate what they actually have to deal with in backline situations, eh? It's good being a flex player anyways, so you better understand your teammates and positioning.
It's easy, today's match the Venom was constantly on me, but I just switch to Cloak, right click to get to safe position, blind him, dmg him until he is gone or dead
The supports in this game are honestly really strong!
watching this video made me realize .. just how fucking good i am as a strategist .
point one for me .
Abd most important of all: Rocket and Jeff can become adorable hats on Groot and get a massive damage reduction
@cybershadow136 True, sorry couldn't fit that into my wall of text
Every time I play with a Luna, she gets a thumb of appreciation. Auntie Luna makes Jeff even more helpful. I love her.
Hela also gives Loki a 3rd clone, though the game completely forgets to mention this
For Luna Snow players on console, there's an option in the settings that makes her ult swap to damage mode when you hold the button and go back to healing mode when you release it. Turning this on lets you rapidly swap modes faster than the default setting, which makes you tap the button each time to toggle modes.
0:00 SO REAL, i consider “healer” a slur.
No shade, but most of what you said about Adam Warlock’s attacks is wrong:
Your primary attack is your close range dueling tool, headshotting enemies with it is your best dps.
I should've qualified more for him, but your right. I do regret finding the burst more useful at range after having made the video compared to before.
Lmfao people outright dodging my bubbles is why I stopped playing Jeff even though I love him
I get that, but they persist and sometimes people accidentally run into them. Or you can when someone dives you.
I hate that OTHER Jeff's don't shoot bubbles at round start. They literally have the ability to get their team to objective FIRST and REFUSE TO USE IT
@@jeanpitre5789 SAME.
Love your delivery, and this should be required viewing for every player.
Note on dagger:
Her projectiles ricochet so you can sometime heal team mates around a corner they will home to friendlies even if you can't directly see them.
On some wider characters, this can be an insane difference-maker, because your primary's second-hand healing is about 3/4 as fast as your bubble
Then there's the fact that she has 2 great survivability cooldowns, but they're on different forms.
Most often you do it while switching to Cloak and back as a way to cheese your reload
Finally, your ultimate has a ton of potential, but so many jank edge cases.
Loki tips:
His projectiles do 0 damage/healing, it's the splash aoe where it hits that does the damage/healing. So aim for people's feet or walls behind them as it's easier than hitting their bodies directly. (they also cant crit headshot so don't bother)
the damage it does has falloff from where it hits, so you still want to try to he somewhat close to enemies. But the heal does full heal in the area no matter how close your allies are to the center
Also you can shoot through your clones and full health teammates, if they need healing it will explode on them, otherwise it will keep going, possibly hitting an ally with lost health or an enemy beyond them.
But they don't see that so we just try to coax them out to protect us and... get wiped.
"I will hit you so hard you starve to death rolling." That is raw as fuck.
11:51 Is some advice I need for sure. I can get too focused on the objective instead of regrouping.
There’s a difference. I’ve had some daggers on my team never use dagger and stay on cloak the entire game 😂😂
Because goal #1 should be to heal, and you should only be on cloak when your Team is topped off or of the other healer is locked in at the moment.
@@penhedlarry7694 goal #1 is SUPPORT. If that's healing, great. Depending on your team and if you're getting targeted by a diver as C&D, protecting yourself might be the better move.
Thats a Spider-Man problem 😂😂😂. Big Facts!!
Lokis middle finger 1:35
As a Loki main thank you. You get it.
Loki crew pulls up!
Support, I just call them supports
Props to the 70% of DPSmains are stinky doo doo water that throw matches while blaming every other class but themselves.
Being a tank main, I love Luna, Jeff and then Adam. In that order
In the S1 update they patched the scrolling on Luna with a delay between switching modes so its not viable anymore
Just going to add that when cloak does his invisibility move he is also able to float allowing you to escape to a higher route if needed.
You have no idea how much I adore you for starting off with "Strategists are not Healers"
I come from high masters in Overwatch, and it's so crucial to understand that just because you're the only person on the team that can heal, doesn't mean you always should.
The way he explains things is hilarious and so based !
Under-rated asf, these were some of the best tips I have gotten. Subbed subbed subbed.
It’s always the DPS’s who shouldn’t be using that class who complain lol
Okay now hear me out, I'm going to beg for my instant Magik picking life.
I played strategist in ranked and I played tank but my duelist random teammates wouldn't focus the healers so I had to switch to playing duelist my damn self to get things going.
Jokes on you i play Wolverine if you heal me ONCE you are a god on my book.
Amen on the duelist player comments in the intro lol
I can’t aim for shite. Therefore I play dagger as strategist. And I’m a damn good one at that too ☝️
For Adam, the primary fire has short range due to damage falloff. The secondary fire does not, so it is better for longer ranges.
As a loki the best and worst feeling is when my fuckup of a team can't get a single kill with me healing them and i just go behind and 4 or 3 tap theyre supports while invisible
"Dont call me a healer"
- Mantis main, "Support" DPS
Just look up, press right click and that's it
From my experience so far, warlock is one of the worst strategists. If your aim is not s-tier and you have a god tier team, then there are way better "healer" whose heals aren't constantly on cooldown.
Warlock has the highest possible peak, or at least he did at the last pro tournament run. It's just a problem of him also having a very high floor to begin with.
I have one thing to say " Maximum pulse"
Thank you for the lovely compliment, to one loki main to another~
They really should add a medigun healer like it’s an iconic part of the genre but all you really get are stun packs and syringes
Healer is my favorite class. Without healers, the game doesnt work. Hooray healers!
Btw loki's clone should reload if he does to not give away the real one when he runs out of ammo
"You have the simplest job, you just don't realized it because most damage players are horrendous fuck ups"
Imma use that quote from now on, thank you for the inspiration. I am using all strategists besides Clock and Dagger
Rocket has crazy dps from 10m and in. His entire kit compliments this. Play right behind or just beside your tanks and use your lmb to pressure enemy tanks or secure kills with your mobility.
Had to start playing rocket just so others on my team wouldn't be trying to bounce heal me from down the block
Will I be executed for saying support? Just trying to avoid getting turned to dust.
Support is also acceptable.
i still call them supports, lol
RISE MY FRIENDS 🗣️

Mantis Ult is NOT INVINCIBILITY I have gotten SMOKED while using her ult. Just a heads up
This is true, it's why I try to qualify it by saying "apart from burst ultimates"
Start using periods and commas, dude
Gave a thumbs up for keeping it real! Hopefully others see this and do the same
No non strategist players will watch this

FINALLY A VIDEO ON HEALERS!
My name Jeff 🦈
I struggle calling rocket anything other than a healer since so many people just use him to heal bot
I really only play him if I've got a Bucky or Punisher to increase his use. He's kinda mid otherwise.
I do enjoy playing as a healer.
What if I call them supports
Acceptable.
@ yippee
I honestly think (in the current patch) that strategist in this game shouldn't have straight-forward damage, they should have to work harder to get damage and some have to, but luna and mantis (especially mantis) are just dps in disguise
Adam warlock has an anim cancel iirc? Right click and then left click afterwards. Its a weird timing but its almost if not immediately after the right click.
Getting into MOBAs is a mistake.
I have nothing to add. I'm sorry if you're already an addict, dear reader... Genuinely.
I Need healing
I can heal
If you die as Rocket in general or more realistically, from a flank, you probably either:
1. got one-shot because of bad position
2. didn't wall run or attempted wall running too late
Always be near a wall.
For me as a Rocket player what I see as my job is to stay alive and running if I have more than one death as him I feel like I'm trolling his entire kit gives me dopamine like no one else I'm just a little unkillable rat running around his mini ult with punisher and bucky team up is just busted the brb is the best designed rez that I ever seen on any game as there is an actual setup and counter play his ultimate feels really underwhelming though as he is the damage boost guy while Luna does the same amount of damage boosting plus immortality it feels really cheap to play someone that has an ult that especiallies on damage boost while the other can do both
His rocket booster give like an extra 20 meters or 10 meters of dash when crawling on a wall so when I hear BP spear hitting to me or any other melee character jumping me I just run to a wall and literally become a Rocket straight to the skybox
why does spider-man catch so much more flak than any other dps😭
Spider-Man's a little too lore accurate, in that he doesn't kill. Most don't, at least.
Quite a few mid spider-man players have egos about their skills that don't match their output and get so aggro to their team about it.
is support okay by your standards? (that's what I usually call strategists)
Acceptable.
