Thank you very much for sharing, I am studying this course, what you said is very correct, a lot of knowledge needs to be memorized, and the specific exercises taught are not such as email marketing, only how to prepare emails looks good but not taught How to set up an email sending software for emails, how to get an email address, etc... This course is a newcomer who still doesn't know how to operate it. If you enter the digital marketing industry, it is difficult to do basic operations. , It hasn’t entered some channels on TH-cam to directly teach how to open a store and how to market it. It's just a certificate.
Hi Aliena, Thankyou for such an honest insight - I also previously completed last year the Foundation Digital Marketing course - and decided to do this as a follow-up! I've started the course! Finished the first course/lesson and gained 91% so far!...straight away I can se how this course gives a great insight into this 'constantly developing' area. Also agree - (coming from an Ad Campaign & product videography experience!) that the course feels more geared towards digital marketeers though certainly wont harm those looking to solely e-commerce roles. I finished this course 5 months ago, and I couldn't agree more with you. I find this course a bit too much and sometimes got confused since it's a mixed of both digital marketing and eCommerce. You are also spot on about having certificate is not a guarantee of you landing a job, still having the experience is the major factor. Well, I just hope that the theoretical knowledge I gained will be put on some good use.

I've done both. The marketing course is better designed on Coursera, but marketing is a glutted job market. I think they work well together, however. UI skills are always part of good marketing.

In my opinion, If you want to understand google analytics, do the Google analytics course in the Google Academy. However, there are some things in the digital marketing course that give practical activities on how to use those tools.. The choice is yours.. If you just need the certificate, you don't need to do note. The quizzes or exams are simple. But if you want to learn and apply the knowledge in real life, you should note what seems to you new.

Just taking some courses will never be able to grant you a job/role. (Imagine, this is something that people can take and finish in a week if they commit some time and how much you could set yourself apart from others..) But, this should be used more as a means for you to further motivate yourself and apply part of this course to your real work.

I'm interested, but I took the Google UX Design course and I was NOT impressed. It was too "woke" sometimes to know what was being asked or who was being discussed when every example of a person is non-binary they/them. It made answering quiz questions very difficult when I didn't know who was being talked about in the question. But I run an eComm site and worked for an eComm company, so I should really start looking into an eComm course to brush up and upgrade my current knowledge base. THANKS AGAIN ALIENA!

It would take you 2 years. 2 hours a day it would be finished in 6 months.
