My loft I have on my channel originally was very nice i made it from pallet timber in 2014. When I moved house I had to reduce its size!. Too treat the pallet wood I used old fish and chip oil to treat the wood , smelled like a take aways for a few weeks lol but the wood hasn`t rotted yet .. I would love to have a bigger loft. 😀 Always enjoy your videos cool m8t.
Hi been enjoying the channel and have subbed. I used to have birds for years from about 12 years old until I got divorced at 30 lol. It’s bringing back great memories Keep up the good work
I've had 4 Blakes lofts over the years(different locations & should have had wheels put on them lol) & not once had any problems, the lad in the back ground erected my latest loft, good lad👌
Hi from D.K.s lofts Birmingham rollers, we see no ventilation at the back wall at the top in side of the loft, A must with pigeons for dust and bloom you can put a flap for colder months to close. with your pigeons flying around the inside of your loft, there's dust, you need fresh air circulating around the loft to blow that dust out. (fresh air) a cool loft for the summer times.
Having seen Andrews I bought 2 Ecco lofts off Matt. I'm more than happy with them and would recommend them to anyone. I'm also happy to wats app you photos or videos
Look into VIROC cladding for the floor comes in 8 X 4 sheets it's a smooth rock hard floor that you can scrap and use a burner on. I have had mine down for twenty years and as good as new.
Hi mate good to see you going round the manufacturers and checking quality as it's big investment got to say Blakes lofts look good and not far from me good look with search and looking forward to new season 👍
Got mine from Brooklands sheds and fencing, Wolverhampton way, they were very good, same style as the blakes and ecco lofts, they all seem to be finished in the harvest gold colour, great video 👍
@@howtotrainyourpigeon Re-starting up after a 5 yr break, just preparing the loft to start with young birds in 2023, exciting times ahead, looking forward to seeing what loft you go for.
looks a nice build. But having all the roof and sliding windows in polycarbonate means heat loss, especially through the roof, so having insulated walls makes no sense or am i missing something 🙂
I Bought a Petron loft and at the time they where the best. For your garden I would look into getting a L shaped loft. Think before you buy what do you need it for are you going to race old birds on widowhood, roundabout or natural. Will the young birds be on darkness
I wondered about an L shape. I haven't decided exactly on the loft I want but yeah I intend to race widowhood if time will allow. Again I think might repeat what I did with the young birds, but that may well change...
Hi. I’m Ben from Blakes lofts. The material on the floor is called mesh faced ply. It’s a very hard wearing board that is usually used on truck and trailer bodies.
You are going to see plenty of lofts in Blackpool and Doncaster shows, I would bring you're measuring tape and a pen and paper and you're camera and take plenty of pictures, and combine all the knowledge you take in and design an 18 foot loft 3X6ft sections with a long corridor all along the front so u said u can go as wide as u like, so why not go 8-10 foot wide?, 8ft deep and sliding doors along out to the 2 foot corridor, and a small sliding door in between each section, which leads me to saying u seem very handy with you're hands, and if you have the time build it yourself outside of work hours and days off, you will build a better bigger loft for the same money if not cheaper??, You will also pick up great tips at the shows on nest box's again measure take note and plenty of pictures. I have no idea where u think u have until march to do all this??, You will have young ones coming from you're own that u will breed b4 you separate them for widowhood. I hope you get plenty of presents of young birds also, and most importantly I hope you will buy plenty of quality youngsters also, so by march you could have 2-3 rounds in you're new loft in 2 sections, and the hens in the furthest section away from the cocks so they don't hear each other when calling, a little radio in each section on low can block out this noise, wire up all sections new and old, and put a light in all and some sockets. Last ting as for wire what 2 use, I always found box wire any gage up 2 1X1" is fine, never seen birds break tips of flights or tail, tail is for sharp turns and breaks so no biggy, yes dowels look nice but rot after a few years, u could use the aluminium ones they had in the old sputnick trap from years ago, Charlie will tell you about them. As always sorry about the essay, and hope my knowledge and years of experience helps you out some what 😁🕊️🕊️, keep us all updated please. Ps: L shape is good as is a double decker loft 🤔🤔😉😉
I bought a loft 4 years ago from Ecco lofts and we are delighted with it. I visited Matt with my own design and together we made one or two small adjustments and the results are stunning. If you would like to see the results I would happily share them via WhatsApp or email.

Wonderful brother good job
Wow cool loft manufacturers. We don't have that here. Most people buy a shed and convert or build their own from scratch.
Brilliant video!

There's ventilation all around the top. The roof is corrugated so there's 1" all along the back and sides.
@@howtotrainyourpigeon the lofts you were looking at in the factory
@@THEFALCON58 🤦sorry of course. Yeah I think they mentioned it but I didn't show it. I don't think they were of a design you could close off though...
Parkhall lofts in Darby very good tung and groove floor and roof
Love your videos, been scribed since the start. I really wish we had a loft manufacturer in the States. Love the designs. Thanx for sharing.
Cheers. Yeah there are a few here but not as many as there used to be. Thanks for watching.
.. Yeah, me too!
I work for Blakes lofts. We are working on exporting our lofts. Starting with the EU then the US and Canada.

Excellent 👍
Good ventilation and wood lats or dowels inside loft as mesh can damage tails and flights good luck with your search.
Good point on the mesh. I was unsure why more didn't use it but your explanation makes sense.
Great video cheers

Can you provide more of your info/ thoughts on Trantner lofts and your visit there. Thanks
Hmmm… come on…. Build your own…. That’s what we did…. You can do it 🔨🎉👍🍺😁

Good luck.

Widowhood all the way pal
Great video! Really enjoyed seeing a few options for pigeon lofts. Wish we had ability to buy premade in U.S.

@@howtotrainyourpigeon is the minimum 3 sections or would 4 be better , hens , cocks , breeding section . young birds ? how come you only having the 3

Eco build great lofts built lofts for years bought on from eco solid
what's the flooring in the loft
Hi. I’m Ben from Blakes lofts. The material on the floor is called mesh faced ply. It’s a very hard wearing board that is usually used on truck and trailer bodies.
My Tranter Loft has never been waterproof despite being double the price of my Blakes loft. Blakes all the way. 👍
Just shake the egg, no need for pot eggs that way 👍
Hi
What do you call the floor material in the second loft in the video? ( Blake’s loft) thanks
I think it's phenolic resin coated plywood
@@howtotrainyourpigeon thanks 😊
It is called mesh faced ply. It is a non slip board with a hardwood core and a resin finish. It is similar to what is used on truck and trailer bodies
@@benblakesley5871 thanks Ben 👍👍👍
A couple of grand… snatch there arms off… that’s cheap
