Mate just wanted to say a massive thanks for doing these videos there not enough coverage for and about getting in to pigeon racing and what’s involved Gd luck and carry on gd work
Hi Mate, just sat and watched this and think you got this one spot on. Realistic shots of the loft the birds and honest comments on the ups and downs. This sort of format is the way to go for the future since seeing small fast pigeons arriving at loft is not the extent of our sport. You are doing a great job. Keep going. (also likes the quite giggles of you lady camera person, they all think we are mad.....lol) Cheers Dave
They did well considering having YB sickness, I’ve not had YBS since vaccination with PMV, ROTA, CIRCOVIRUS from Vet Schroeder, Netherlands and having dry dropping floor dressing like Patrick Boeckx
Hi mate well done was good race seeing the birds have been bad will soon make the speed once fully fit great to the good bad and ugly in sport rather than just wining videos nice to the young lads enjoying it well done and looking forward to next race👍
Terrific job getting your birds through the illness and into the basket. They'll come good with more exercise and tossing. Your videos are very interesting in the way that you edit and produce them. I'm very entertained and appreciate the effort you expend to put them together. Cheers mate!
Terrific update. Thank you. Great to see that nearly all the birds made it through the illness and they were able to race. Shame about the missing 6, but still pretty good, I reckon. Some road training this week will sharpen them up and hopefully your team will be back to form. I noticed Charlie wasn't on the sheet. Are you with different clubs? (You might already have said in an earlier video) I liked your conversation during scraping and that pigeon racing is a lot more than just taking them to the club in a basket and waiting for them to come home. It's much, much more than that! Hope you, the family and the birds stay well. M.
So much advice off des 😆😆keep doin your own thing mate what works for des and others mite not work for you so take on lard bits and bobs of advice I've had pigeons since I was 5 yr old nearly 50 now won out of turn over years also had a lot of bad days races etc etc some ofy very best birds multiple winners fed toppers blah blah never wanted me near them also had birds that would sit on my arms come in the house etc all different it's nice if ther tame means nothing that when it comes to racing noticed keV Lawson in your club what a flyer he is and has been keep up the good work mate and remember every one does ther own thing old Charlie been winning for years and years listen to him if you need advice by the way it's sometimes very hard to turn them around once they have the ybs to get them to win they usually always just off the pace in my experience anyway good luck your doin great in my eyes enjoy your birds and don't get to regimented with them 🥴🥴🥴
Cheers for the mention. I have told him EVERYTING I've learned over the years, I don't see many telling him EVERYTHING on here, but then again when I was 16 untill my mid 30's racing lads only told you bits and only what you wanted to hear but very real education pigeon racing wise. I raced against 25-40 lads a week, up to 1,500 birds in my club a week, and up to 12k pigeons a week in "THE FED ". I look at clubs on here and there is 9 members sent 300 and there was 1.5k in the fed, and I do be in shock, 1.5k in a fed we had that in the club every week when I raced it was against all of Dublin. And it was very tough club that lads topped the fed several times a year in, and always several birds in the top 20 of the fed. It's not that it worked for me, I tell this chap because 'IT ACTUALLY WORKS". and as I said I don't give him half story's or tell him bits and bobs, I've told him everything I no, why wouldent I, I don't race anymore, note do I race in his club or fed, so I've nothing to loose by passing on all I no, and as I've told him before I wish I had some one to tell me all I now no and have picked up over the years, and the import bits about feeding and supplements and training and handling them, and when I was eventually told I racing small teams took several positions a week in the top 10 in the club and too 50 in the fed, hense why I say "I no it works" . If he or nobody wants to take what I have to say on board that doesn't bother me 1 bit, but I can say I tried, Des 🙄💙
How do you record times. Years ago we used rubber bands tha you stripped off and putin clocks that had all been set at the same time in the club house. Now days it looks to be all electronic Can you have video showing how it all works with the new systems?
Di Indonesia ada kompetisi merpati balap sprint seperti lari cepat di olahraga atletik 1000 meter dan ada juga yang diterjunkan dari atas ( disebut merpati kolong ) . Jika anda penghobi merpati , anda pasti suka menonton lombanya , baik secara langsung maupun melalui You Tube .
Brother, you are so smart & handsome Your smile like hero.👍 I am witching you from A South asian country, My village has no club or no vloger like you, how to i learn about Racing pigeons,
Did you get many more of the 6 back since that race??, And how have things being since this video was made ?. I can clearly see that coz you don't handle them that often, that they are afraid of you, and don't like being handled to be entered for the race in the club, you can hear them grunting and see them running as if you're a stote that is going to kill them, this comes with lack of handling and stress's them. If pigeons young and old are handled regularly even daily they won't be like that, I can see like most novices that you look akward handling them and this is also down to lack of practice, only pigeons that should be like that is stock pigeons, as they don't need handling, when I raced I had pole perches and I had the poles 4 deep and I could put my hand 2 the back perch 2 pick1 up and the others would hardly flinch, same with ones on V perches I could pick them up easily with out having 2 grab 1 like it was a snake, I could also scrape there V perch and they would peck me, this is all down to time spent in the loft and and lots of handling, you have learned an awful lot this first season and u will take it into next season and so on, but I really hope you start to handle them more in future and this has to start with these as old birds and next season's young birds, there's no stress in what is a daily routine, they will even peck at you and play fight you an odd slap of a wing because you walked past there perch, I've even had cocks jump on a hens back whilst I was handling them because they were so relaxed and used to being handled and me, so deffo more handling after a race and check for weight loss, Monday after a good feed Saturday and Sunday to see weight gain, and then Thursday night after 4 days of training and Friday before going to the club to feel them with no food in them and see all the weight turned into muscle,. And feel them being muscled up but yet light. Are you planning on revealing you're feeding and supplements and that that you chose for this season when the season is over ?? 🤔🤔
this thing about racing birds in stages is not really correct. AS LONG AS THE BIRDS ARE fit to race you can jump them quiet easily. I race my birds 100 miles once and jump them to 240 miles and have always done well. As my late good friend Eddie Newcombe of scotish fame usedto say a pigeon does not know the distance it is going to fly all that matters is that its in good flying form.
I'd like to confirm what you're saying. I'm from a Dutch part of Flanders and I don't understand why there's all this tossing etc. We never did and we had fantastic results. I think it's all a lot of work and money spend unnecessarily. It makes it more difficult for beginners to accept the unevitable set backs and they will give up.
Ok, lol… direct line to the loft…. No more fighting the extension lead… thinking (Out) side the loft 😂👍🍺🎉💥😁
Nice birds shoutout from Saudi 🇸🇦 Arabia...
Thanks 👍

The birds caught on the ship off Tunisia were so tired that I cured them by giving them sugar water.
