I'm not too far into the video but a fun fact is that, Tower Unite, originated from the Garry's Mod: Tower gamemode from the same creators. What I would give to go back and play gmod tower in its prime one last time. Don't get me wrong, I love tower unite, it's essentially almost the same thing entirely but it's also entirely different and unique in it's own way. Both are such great fun.
Just some constructive criticism (since I was getting confused for a short moment): I think it would be good if you showed what you are talking about on the screen at the same time. Other than that I'm sure it's an informative vid.
The reason the game is not more popular, is the fact that it really should be more like 10 dollars instead of 20, and also it has been in early access a LONG time and finally has enough features implemented to be worth a good amount of your time.
@@ogkyle6321 pc games aren't a tangible good. If the game was instead 10 dollars, there's a possibility that more than twice as many people would buy it. Reduce the price to 5, and you could possibly have 20x the amount of people purchasing it. Considering the game depends a lot on having a continuous active player base, this would be a smart move.
it does in fact have a lot of features, but it doesnt have all the features the devs promised so thats why its still in early access. its my opinion but i consider the price reasonable since the things you can do are endless.
great video on this game, youtube showed me another one where dude with 45k subs was just raging at the loading circles everytime he clicked something in it... that was zero help. thanks for being a great uploader on a platform plagued by terrible videos.
TL;DR: This is a really old sort of concept that started on GMod, and when it became it's own game not much people knew about it, so it hasn't really been developed that quickly. P.S.: Thanks for covering this game and bringing it more publicity, it's one of my favorite games, but it's been stifled a bit by not having so much players to experience it. Tower Unite Veteran here. The History of Tower Unite is actually kind of interesting to tell as well. Tower Unite originally started back in 2010 (at least that's when I saw it) as GMod Tower. The Original Idea is to make a hub of entertainment and social interaction in a digital medium (but it was still on GMod so you needed to install mods and what not for it to all work) around 2012-2013 the development group around GMod Tower felt like they were being held back by the engine (it was GMod as it was back in 2012-2013 so that's understandable) so they started work on Tower Unite, which is actually a port of GMod Tower to the Unreal Engine. They've re-worked pretty much everything from when it was GMod Tower and (for some old GMod Tower Donors) they got access to Tower Unite a tiny bit early (heck, people who were avid users to GMod Tower were able to transfer their old account data from a while ago). The Main reason why it's still in early access is actually for the same reason why it was counted as early access when it was still GMod Tower, there's not enough people to justify a faster development timeline.
hmmm I never heard of this game EVER. I just saw some meme video of it and searched the name and this is the first video I saw. My only doubts is on the kind of people the game has to offer. I had a hard time in VRChat because there's a lot of toxic people who just crash others on purpose and the game is terribly optimized. As for RecRoom, I loved it to the heart, but couldn't find anyone older than 13 which made it boring quite fast. I DO love these kinds of games where the core element is socializing with people and just having fun, but I wanna know Tower Unite's cons as well as the pros.
tower unite is 1000 times better than roblox and other sandbox games, but its in early acess and not popular in theese days so it has very less player than other games
Yes tower unite is very fun! while the game does has flaws that I can see with the game though, but tower unite still can be fun though since I have bought this Game in 2020 since I was playing this game a lot and even the times, I was farming hours for this game just for the achievements that require you to put hours on. Like I know there was this one achievement that required you to watch the tv for 10 hours, while I know there was achievement like ones like Long Walk Through Tower Aka the achievement where you have to walk about 100,000 steps in total through the plaza, which I got that achievement from the times I was still playing tower unite In 2020 while I know the other achievement called Jumping Jack Rabbit, which is another achievement that I got where you have to jump about 200,000 times in the plaza. While I also did got the Tower Addiction where you have to be on the plaza for 7 days! since it was the achievement that I end up afking just to get that achievement Which I do have about 1,823 hours on Tower unite all thanks to some of the achievements that I got some hours put into this game while I have play the games like ball race. And got all of the achievements in that game! which was in 2020 since I did have fun playing ball race with people, well even though in 2020 I was having problems since I remember the times when the vote kick system used to be a thing in tower unite, since there were players that were abusing it by vote kicking players that will join or. Will think those players are cheating! which I know in fact I did got vote kick out of two games of ball race before when I was new to the game I get vote kick when I just Join in a game of ball race and even the times I get vote kick by players probably because, they didn't like how I was playing while since now no one can vote kick anymore! Since they removed the vote kick system which is a good thing though, since I never like the vote kick system in online games anyway since it can be abuse by toxic players. Since I have play other online games that did have the vote kick system that I know in fact, I have encounter players that abused the vote kick system which I even gotten vote Kicked out of games also! while tower unite was so fun ever since I was playing this game in 2020, but sadly I stop playing tower unite just to focus on other games to play again While I finally came back to play the game again and I got to play ball race again, while I start to noticed the leaderboard seeing some people like someone that I have play with. In ball race name Twizy #POPEM that is in leaderboard in some of the levels in the maps that ball race has, which I was surprised how he got to be in the top 10 in the leaderboard Even how he got to be number 1! since I make my return back to tower unite, but sadly I just noticed to see the people in the leaderboard just don't play tower unite that much anymore. Which I am sure those people in the leaderboard decide to focus on other games or they decide to quit the game for good, while the times I was playing ball race again I end up Getting shame on by someone that see my ball race rank when I was playing a game of ball race which I think my rank was 846 from the times I stop playing tower unite. But since I came back to tower unite which I remember the player tells me to get a life all because of my rank, well even though I do have a life and I was like to him dude I haven't play this game over a year! since I was playing so much Garry's mod murder ever since I decide to return back to Garry's mod which I went into a wrong murder server. That I wish I play on the right murder server that I would love to play, but I decide to make my return back to tower unite which I only play tower unite only on Saturdays and Sundays Since I just want to focus on my other games to beat, since I do have about 278 games on my steam account which I am trying to get 300 games on my steam account which. That is my goal what I am trying to do for my steam account! which once I get 300 games I would not buy anymore games for a while since I just want to focus on other games Or even tower unite, which tower unite still is worth playing while there are flaws to the game but at least there still can be games to play which can be fun and worth playing! :D
I would suggest you don't interject your personal morals and likes/dislikes in these kinds of videos. Stick to showing the features in great detail, and let your viewers decide how they feel about it. Telling us you don't condone gambling in real life, or you don't like designing condos is not at all relevant to your viewers. We want to know what we can and can't do, and not what you personally like or don't.
My brutally honest take: It really isn’t. It’s actually a huge step back from Gmod Tower. 1: Leveling is really slow. 2: The arcade is lacking a LOT. 3. The default character models have no customization options. 4: Condo customization is a bit of a mess. 5: It’s overpriced. 6: You can’t even buy anything from the stores now. It’s completely broken. I really wish someone could remake Gmod Tower. I don’t like Tower Unite anymore. It feels nothing like Gmod Tower.

Game sales is the only revenue that the devs get because of the game having no microtransactions so its kinda gotta be 20 usd

The game is pretty fun but unfortunatly is not easy to play minigames because there aren't enough people that join the minigame

Arcade got an update. Condo customization is better; the game also goes on sale every now and then. Stores are fixed.
