    Hi Sunny! I recently got some comments on my business YT channel saying that they don’t know why my channel isn’t as big as X channel. I didn’t know how to explain that we don’t care about being super viral because we’re still able to live from our online business with the “small” audience that we have on YT because we’ve learned to talk to the right people and convert (part of it because of what you’ve taught us over the years, so thank you 😊).
    Now I know that I’m an entrepreneur and not a creator. I needed to hear the difference and be reminded of what matters. Thank you for everything you do.

    Wow, and there I was wondering why I'm struggling to become an entrepreneur... Meanwhile I was behaving like a creator - worrying myself with all the metrics that really don't matter! I don't have a TH-cam channel but I always fell for the "likes" metric on my IG page & now it all makes sense what you've been teaching all along Sunny - that metric is important for content creators. And I ain't trying to be one, hahaha! I'm so excited to officially join AA tomorrow :) I actually just got off a call with Connor - my joy is through the roof! I've waited for this moment for over a year now. At last, WE ARE HERE! Thank you for continuously and consistently being such a massive inspiration to us, Sunny. I don't comment often but I've watched you tirelessly because of all the passion, wisdom & generosity you put into your channel. Can't wait to be just a tiny bit like you - that will be more than enough for me :)

    I changed my TH-cam strategy and I posted a video that got 5 views, but I got 1 new lead on my email list! Its not about the views, its about the QUALITY of the viewer! Love you Sunny!

    I love how you teach about numbers that matter. Seeing views go down or subscriber numbers plateau can be so discouraging. But learning how I can still be successful without those vanity metrics is so reassuring and SMART.

    It's amazing, but I haven't seen a video on TH-cam which puts all this knowledge in a nutshell like this video, especially what metrics are important and how one should evaluate them. This video is gold! ❤

    I have been resisting the 'marketing' route suggested for on line course creators because I don't want to 'feed the beast' of Social media, and views, and likes, etc. So it's very refreshing to find out how to use content creating on TH-cam to target the best prospects and build a long term business. Thank you for this. And for the illustrations that make it more 'visual' and memorable.... from a Visual Merchandising and Display Consultant... for about 30 years.... Old, but good!

    Good teaching, as usual Sunny. Especially metrics that matter vs. vanity metrics. I'm learning this too. My house sitting videos get the least views but really get my payment notifications going. I'm thinking about switching to a different email provider that tracks where each lead magnet click came from to help me see how well that video did.
    Also, CTR is difficult to compare from one video to another, because if the algorithm opens the floodgates on a video, the CTR will take a nosedive. Doesn't mean the thumbnail isn't performing well. Just means the impressions really took off. While a video can have a high CTR just because basically only Notification Gang was recommended the video so it's getting very few impressions.

    Terrific video, thanks so much! I agree that quality rather than quantity of viewers is so important. My biz is very niche (brand new attorneys who need to learn practical skills to do their jobs) and isn't meant for a wide audience. I'm definitely in the entrepreneur camp. Thanks for the great info on analytics, too. I've been debating whether a TH-cam channel is right for me to drive people to buy my course, and after listening to you, I know it is. You're a terrific speaker and deserve all your success. Best, Lesa

I am just starting to check out online courses today and came by your video after searching on Graham Cochrane. Am pondering whether it's better for me to sell ebooks or online courses, but will be extremely challenging for me cos technically, i'm a website dummy. Hey Sunny, haven't watched in a while. Just wanted to say this is super valuable information. A lot of these things I have come across through my own experience. Especially about evergreen content. I have videos that keep getting regular views and over time they keep brining in quality comments and many thankful people. Those are my review videos. I would say my strategy has been content creator so I have been in that boat of making various video types that probably messes with the algorithm because they vary in video type and style. I plan to stick more closely to more review videos as they seem to be providing the most value for the people who tune into my channel and also they are getting me interest from companies that want to promote their products as well. So it's working in two ways for me. Watching your videos always gives more clarity to what is being experienced even from my perspective so thanks for that! :)

    I'm a TH-cam 4 Bosses member, so this isn't the first time I've heard you talk about why the number of views don't matter, but the way you described it in this video really helped that hit home! I’m finally figuring it out But the guilt was real and this video made me feel so much better. Thank you ❤️

  • @RVersity
    @RVersity 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Wow Sunny this was very thorough. Love 💕 the visuals!! Great reminder about the metrics as in my niche most are “creators” - they share all about their travels and RV life. I’m more of an entrepreneur who teaches people how to get into the RV lifestyle. I have seen the spikes or lack their of but then see amazing retention on certain videos so I get what you are saying about the numbers seeming disheartening! And you’re right this video only scratches the surface of creating an online course or attracting the right audience with TH-cam! I wish I would’ve known this before creating a channel. Also, I’d LOVE advice on how to FIX an existing channel? Is it to create more ideal viewer content and forget the old videos you did? Does it eventually fix itself overtime? Sometimes I feel like I’m trying to get rid of old viewers (subs) that joined for the wrong reasons or aren’t interested in my content so they skew my numbers??? Hope that makes sense! Loved this one Sunny!!! 😘

    Hay Sunny. I'm Arye from Israel. following you for years & love your content! this concept that you don't have to be an entertainer in order to reach the right people is very liberating and suddenly makes it seem possible. My question is, if in my field of expertise there are two different crowds that I want to reach, should I have two different channels on you tube?

    Great training Sunny; one thing I thought, for people who are just getting started & who don' t have any testimonials, the value they provide during the "meat" of the video content can bridge that "gap". Frank Kern is awesome at doing this too, so for anyone here who feels it's a catch22 - it *ain't* . You can engender authority from the high value you bring, and then later, once you *do* have genuine happy customers, you can add that to the mix as rocket fuel for the CTR, retention & flywheel effect.

    Just arrived from church service, prayed for some guidance and while going home I was already thinking what i would do to sell my course. Ah! Search youtube of course use keywords "how to make a video sell a course" "a webinar for online course youtube" "record zoom meeting" "writing a script" and all... Then poof! (Eureka moment): you have to look from the lens of an entrepreneur instead of a creator. Your video for the days is exactly what I was looking for. Spooky. Is youtube mind reading? Haha. Thanks, Sunny, for this wonderfully thought content as always.

      @@SunnyLenarduzzi I've been wondering HOW i could build up my youtube videoes, and with your system this was probably the biggest takeaway. Thank you so much. And also, I'ts just sometimes nice to be reminded that I'm on the right track, specially when I'm new with youtube and really need to understand the platform, SEO and everything else. Hehe, love to follow you and be inspired! 😍😍

    That was really useful - I think I've been doing it all wrong, worrying about view numbers and subs. Since I never go my hockey stick, I should just start focusing on making sure the content is fitting the AVATAR well....thats the hard part

    • @SunnyLenarduzzi
      @SunnyLenarduzzi  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely! Just think about what your ideal avatar is struggling with and searching for an answer about ... then make the video that answers that!
