As a Minnesotan, I don’t like where this is going..
I have ALWAYS wanted to go to Minnesota. I used to listen to “Prairie Home Companion” and it made it sound like the greatest place. Little “Hallmark Movie” style small towns where people are genuinely happy and there’s a real sense of community… all bs I’m sure, but it sounds amazing.

I think it's an infohazard, not a cognitohazard. Because you don't have to experience it in any way, the mere knowledge of its existence activates its effect (that's why he couldn't say what the plant really was).

Saturdead has some of the most amazing stories in their ever growing universe. As soon as the words “red lilies” were mentioned, I knew exactly what that meant and that this was going to be a wild ride.
We're screwed, because I already think about those flowers frequently.
Could you recommend other stories by them that have been narrated? The writing is really good, and I want more.
@@faultyinterface There's a bunch that are narrated by CreepsMcPasta. If you DO listen to more of their stories, though, you WILL learn the true form of the "Red Lilly," and then you'll never be able to unlearn it.
A couple I can remember off the top of my head: "The West Virginia Scarf People," "My Time as a Prison Guard May be Short Lived," "I Was Hired to Notice Things out of Place," and "If You See a Girl Drinking Rainwater, Run," and to start off, "The Sad Sunflower."

This sounds like it's straight out of the SCP universe. It's got a SCRAMBLE equivalent (failed tech used with SCP-091) and cognito/info hazards. But no amnestics. Loved this story.
That was a great story and kind of feels like a chapter 0 type situation before switching over to someone who stumbles into the town not knowing what is going on.

Until around 2yrs ago.
Then i binged any creepy stories that caught my attention,Then i began whittling down the list of narrators to just a couple.

Man you can tell Lighthouse Horror really wants to be best in the biz. He puts so much effort into production, he experiments with different things and if it doesn’t go well he tries other things and when those go well he incorporates it. Dude is a pro gunning for number one spot and he’s gonna get it at this rate.
I love your videos which show your face. I already loved your voice anyway, yet somehow with the visuals it seems even better, I think it's because we can literally see your passion and how you get so submerged in to the stories that you narrate, just like all your subscribers and listeners do. Also your voice control is unbelievable.

I don't want to be impolite, I get why for some it may disturb the imagination of several characters while engaging with one face, I just meant the solution is relatively easy.
I've been addicted to this man and how he tells these stories since I listened to his rendition of, "to build a fire." The ending music of that story alone, always breaks my heart. Your voice and interpretation of characters are second to none. You build in atmosphere like no other.

Great story, however, listening to this reminds me of a funny story I have about flowers! I ordered some seeds for yellow roses and mixed pansies and when I planted them, these odd deep green shoots sprouted and after a couple of weeks beautiful blue leafed sunflowers sprouted! Ive never seen anything like them, absolutely stunning royal blue petals. In the weeks following on my usual walks I swear I'm seeing them more and more in gardens around ny neighbourhood! Has anyone else seen these gorgeous plants? Xx

Wow, I must say I'm used to some creepy stuff, but this story was one of the first to actually give me real chills. Imagine being surrounded by things which could give off such a green light indicator without knowing... The silliest, most stupid and most normal things a human could have in their house for decoration. I don't dare to think about it! As always, superb narration, I absolutely love your video's!

Cool fact: You actually *can* unremember something! The trick is..... playing Tetris!
To be fair, some other puzzle games might also work. Tetris is just the one that has been used and confirmed in most studies as having the ideal properties for this. It forces you to basically constantly fill and empty your short term memory with new information, which can eventually override a lot of recently learned other information before it reaches the long term memory.
This method has been found to be effective treatment of fresh trauma, because the emotional impact and details of the traumatic incident are prevented from being committed to long term memory in a way that causes flashbacks.
So hey, I guess you can always whip out Tetris if you ever encounter the red lilies!

I have yet to finish the video, but I suppose another way besides not knowing what the “red Lilly’s” are may be to hide the red lily. You can’t forget what it is, however they only seem to popup in places you can see, allowing yourself to notice them, allowing it to spread more. So the solution to dealing with it after you know what it is may be to blind yourself. As they only pop up in places you can see, if you can’t see where they could pop up then they won’t. 🤔

Yet another incredible narration! This story had me gripped the whole time, and definitely gave me some SCP vibes (which I adored btw). You have easily the best narrations on the platform because you’re so expressive and you give genuine life to the characters you play! so this agent has been working this jobs for years, they know how important it is. and when it happens to them they break all kinds of protocol and becomes super selfish and compromises everything thus spreading the infection even more. another bad story that is only good because they made the m.c. totally incompetent. all he had to do was call in a quarantine at his location, issue resolved. i cannot stand bad writing like this.
