Gooseneck trailer is more maneuverable, easier to couple to the truck because you can see the connection points compared to a RECEIVER HITCH ( like your Tahoe) where the trailer tongue disappears from view as you back in closer to couple to it. Tahoes are cool and all, but, well aaa....youll see. You briefly touch on trailer brakes (electric type I hope). I hope you had a quality Electric Brake Control box installed in your Chevy. Hitch an empty trailer and drive about and tune the Electric Brake Control (learn it). I hope Tucker loves his new RV.
Very interesting to see the difference between the USA and (mainland) Europe! Pretty much all trailers are straight-load trailers here. Some people choose (small) trucks/lorreys which have fixed space for horses in the back. Our trailers also seem quite a bit smaller and are lighter. My own trailer for 1 horse is 1200 pounds. A 2 horse trailer here (with storage for tack/saddle) would be around 2000 pounds.
Oh my goodness. How your channel has grown! I remember when you just had a little over 1k and got my sub with a frog joke making the horse jump higher. Great work!
Years ago I read an article on this subject in a friend's horse magazine. The only thing I can remember about it is you should have a factory installed tow package on your vehicle. Something about fewer welds and weak points when it's done in factory. Thanks for the video, now I have the rest of the information I need 😀
Pleaseeee, tell us how you know so much about horses, did you take a class?, what did you study?, what is your work?, I wanna live an equinne life but I dont know how
I’m not going to have to worry about how heavy the stuff is and everything because my dad has a trucking company and he has six different F150 Ford‘s and he brings another 7000 pounds on his trailer not including the cars on it.
Completely unrelated but I have a question about horse training. I’m purchasing my first horse after doing lessons for about 8 years. It’s an 8 year old QH gelding from the SPCA but he isn’t saddle broke ( he’s only halter broke but the seller said he’s had a saddle on him once). And I was wondering if I should train him to ride without a saddle first or start with a saddle and then go bareback.
@@jenmiller5303 that’s what I was thinking to do aswell since I also have a lower paying job so it’s gonna take a while to get the money for certain tack….. Kijiji and eBay are my best friends rn. But I do want to see others opinions
they do make massive trailers like that but they are incredibly large and heavy, i have no idea what sort of monster truck it would take to pull one of those lmao
@@jenmiller5303 the largest i've seen is a 6-horse trailer. anything larger than that might just be unreasonable and it would be better to have two trucks and two trailers. however, even during shows and stuff it's highly unlikely you'd fill the trailers!
Carmella, for a newbie to the world of hitches and towing, you did an excellent job explaining the details in a clear and concise way. Ya did good!!
Thank you! I’ve been doing a lot of research lately 😂
While I was watching this I found myself singing, "10-4 buddy, come on back, a horse trailer on a Cadillac." Good ole Chris. :)

Can you do tips for owning your first horse?

Pulling weight is hard on a transmission. If you are hauling often, keep that in mind.

I don't know much about horses but I would say train him or her without a saddle so your horse could get used to weight on their back

Great job ! I’ll need to know all of this one day !

Thanks for this!!!! It’s a huge help
My question is is there such thing as a 6 horse trailer or is that what this is? I plan to get a lot of horses!🐎😁😁

@@rararasputin1847 also how many horses would that pull?

Amazing vids as always
This was really informative, thanks!
Good information in this video. Thank you
you should make one of these but like instead for telling if the horse might be for you, also i love your content :)
I love your vids ❤️❤️❤️❤️
what is the meaning of your tattoo????
Personally, I want a reverse straight load. They’re pricier, but horses are more comfortable facing away from travel. But nice video!
Same but I need 8ft ceilings as I dont want to replace the trailer as the horse grows
Earlyyyy yayyy
Yea same
Omg hii
