@staminadon So, why is reggae not freeying Jamaica? The crime rate has gone through the roof. Reggae artists have been singing out their lungs, and the crime is getting worse. Jamaica needs to be freed from China. Start there first. The money from the Afrobeat artists is now helping people in Africa.

@staminadon Jamaican music comes with too much controversy. The artists are too ignorant, and they are always having beef with each other. So many artists sing about harmony, love, peace, and togetherness, yet there is so much HATE. WHERE IS THE LOVE JAMAICA?

Buju Banton music is not freeying Jamaica, which is a small island. How the heck is he going to free Africa the continent. He needs to freeJamaica of all the killing and also from the Chinese who are taking over. Buju is threatened by the rise of Afrobeat music. And jealousy is written all over his face.
He cannot handle the success of Afrobeat music. His words does not match his expression. TRY AGAIN BUJU I'M NOT FOOLED.

His message is not coming from a good place. It is coming from a place of jealousy. It's not what he said, but how he said it. He actually rubbished another artists hard work by calling it Fu-kry. That is total disrespect for the artists and their followers. There are a catalogue of derogatory dancehall tunes, and I challenge any African artist to come out and openly say what he did about his type of music. The Jamaicans would tell you exactly who and what to suck with mo apology.
If he wasn't so bitter, I could have believed that his statement was meaningful, BUT I SENSED THAT HE WAS VERY ENRAGED BECAUSE HE DOES NOT BELIEVE THAT AFROBEAT HAS ANY RIGHTS TO BE WHERE IT IS ON THE WORLD STAGE AND BECAUSE HE CANNOT CHANGE THE FANS MINDSET HE IS TRYING TO GET THE ARTIST TO SING SONGS THAT THE FANS CANNOT ENJOY THEMSELVES TO. THEREFORE DECREASING THE POPULARITY.

Buju and other reggae artist have been singing uplifting, conscious and elevating music for years and the murder rate in Jamaica continues to rise. Their music is not making any difference to the mindset of the people. LUCKY DUBE did what Buju is asking everyone to do and was brutally murdered infront of his children. Buju needs to mind his own business and stop the hate.

@@trendsoclock Music doesn't free anyone, protesting and signing petition may help. The government is not going to listen to a song and decide to make changes. It may encourage them to target you for exposing them. The song may create awareness, but so does the media. Buju is throwing jabs. If dancehall music was still at the top he would not be making these statements. He was making all his noise because dancehall was caught napping, and fu-kry music took over. Please don't think for one moment that I hate dancehall and reggae. I love me some Tanya Stephens and some of the old ragga riddims, especially the buy out rhythm. I just did not like buju delivery. He sounded too bitter.

For Buju Banta to say, "We, Africans, came to our senses," is an insult to the African continent. I ignored his stupid message because a large percentage of Jamaicans love Nigerians and African and identify as Africans. I believe many Jamaicans would disagree with him on this as well. Buju Banta only expressed his personal, ignorant, idiotic, and nonsensical opinion. All the same, we are brothers and sisters.
