I have easily seen more than 100 gigs and without question the Toy Dolls was the best Gig I ever saw, helped by the fact that the venue was called "The Beer Keller" so we where drinking Shtines. Olga is the best guitarist imaginable and seeing him laying flat on his back in/under one of those modular "Hop-Up" stages ripping out fabulase guitar is something I will never forget. I live in Benidorm, a karaoke hotspot, sometime back after a few beers I got up and did this, I'm no singer, but love the fun of it and give it my all, now when I walk into a bar I hear 'give us Nellie', god they must all be hearing deficient.
Been a hero of mine for, since first play in the UK.Plastic has been with me thru all of my darkest times and my happiest. So he is hugely appreciated by me.
Just love this song! Living in Berlin back in the 80ies this was a must-play in the little indi 'Linientreu' club... the dance floor was full with punks, rockabillies, goths and newwaves, dancing all together in 'harmony' ✌
I can actually remember being a toddler and loving this, I can remember singing it with my grandma with me in the back of the car, I loved the 'bridge' part best obviously
I went to Ibiza in 1993 and visited a pub called the red lion wonderful pub and the dear lady that owns it is a superstar x they played this song and everyone in the place was dancing on the tables and going ballistic IT WAS AMAZING!! I’m so proud to be British......WE KNOW HOW TO HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!
Takes me back, to a young lad away from home training for the army in Winchester. We would head to the pub on a Saturday and they had a video jukebox and this track was played to death.
Mmm. Me and my mates were shown the door at a new years eve party too. The girl who'd invited us's father was the local grammar schools headmaster. We then gate-crashed another party up the road.....that my mum and dad were at!

I love the Toy Dolls, saw them every time they played the US, which wasn't enough. Now a new album and a potential tour... god life just got better.
This is one more reason for me to love the British. Besides classic writers and comedy shows. My best regards from Russia.
Where has this music been all my life? Absolutely incredible!
I live in Benidorm, a karaoke hotspot, sometime back after a few beers I got up and did this, I'm no singer, but love the fun of it and give it my all, now when I walk into a bar I hear 'give us Nellie', god they must all be hearing deficient.
Go to Bennie three times a year. coming over on the 9th of August. I will bust this out at a bar
Been a hero of mine for, since first play in the UK.Plastic has been with me thru all of my darkest times and my happiest. So he is hugely appreciated by me.
Ok. Im just gonna go ahead and say it. At 40 years old, here in America, this is one of my favorite songs period.
You ROck
Just love this song! Living in Berlin back in the 80ies this was a must-play in the little indi 'Linientreu' club... the dance floor was full with punks, rockabillies, goths and newwaves, dancing all together in 'harmony' ✌
My Art/Photography teacher showed my class this (we do like a music playlist and this was what he chose). This is such a simple yet legendary song!!
Ruthless_Illusion wished we had had that teacher, brilliant!
At a metal club i went to when i was young loved this song, and would create a huge mosh pit....this song got banned frequently
Elmo182 Games and shit yes i remember that too everyone went mad lol
Got banned?! It's a work of genius!!!
Probably stage door/cosmic ballroom.
you always made me happy toy dolls guys
I love this song it always makes me smile
I can actually remember being a toddler and loving this, I can remember singing it with my grandma with me in the back of the car, I loved the 'bridge' part best obviously
Saw them yesterday on Arte Tv at Hellfest. Still amazing, happy and „not too old for this.“ Thank you for so much fun.
I´m sooo happy I was young in the 80´s and not today!
This is Gold not heard today.
2022..still loving this!!!!
Takes me back, to a young lad away from home training for the army in Winchester. We would head to the pub on a Saturday and they had a video jukebox and this track was played to death.
"The favorite song of my daughter when she was 8, now 9 years later she still remembers it and still likes it. I think I did everything right."
This song seriously makes me so happy
I remember dancing to this with my friend at his sister's new years eve party - I was never invited to another party of his family after that lol
Mmm. Me and my mates were shown the door at a new years eve party too. The girl who'd invited us's father was the local grammar schools headmaster. We then gate-crashed another party up the road.....that my mum and dad were at!
This was played at me dads funeral hard to listen to again 💔
RIP
R.I.P.
He is legend ❤️, what a wish
Your old man had a sense of humour and would have been happy to have Nellie carting him off.
@@alecsouter I mean we’re all gonna die on day might as well make a joke of it
I loved this song as a little kid and so I used to play this for my 2 eldest kids in 2005 when this was released on this compilation album and they loved it, and still do! ❤

omg...how have I missed these guys???? I grew up in the 80's and they must have flown way under the radar...These guys are freakin' awesome and fun!
I'm 60 years old I love it
First time hearing this in like 30 years. Glorious!
My daughter is 20. She loves it as much as I do. Woooooooo! Xx
Too many "trumps" in this song and too many WHITE people having fun and this obviously makes it a real "RACIST" dog whistle, only when people start using inventions that are from their own race will we end thought crimes aka " hate speech, when Africans find out that they have invented cars, mobile phones, computers, flight and antibiotics to name a few will whitey truly know their place in world history and black Americans as the most abused people in the history of the world not having to fear traffic stops because whitey won't have a car or gun because we all know these were inventions stolen from them by whitey and can't wait for my birthing person/she/her to give birth to our first Black male presenting child,I witnessed Tyrone plant they/them resistance pole in the birthing person as I cried with joy in the corner knowing I did my bit to fight against the racists that still judge people by their content and not by their race or gender, I really hate the bigotry that stops people from seeing colour or who the sleep with, treating people the same is just so racist and we need to use the covid camps for these insane racists that are coloured blind
I grew up listening to the Toy Dolls with their album "Dig That Groove, Baby" and later with "We're Mad". Both excellent albums, still in the shoppes. They sound better than ever!
Fabulous!!! Haven’t heard this song in forever! and never seen the video! Love it!
They took the crowd by storm
Happy 2022 to who's still alive
I looooooove this, so much fun, and thanx for the other commentaries, pure laughter
Love it my mum shows me and i would be soo proud if music like this would be played still today ✊️
i live in the province , half rural ,half suburbian ,and we have a dance temple that is well ..,kind of regional attractive to people cause we have a good booking and are actually legendary for our 40 years legendary history , still people drive hundreds of miles to get to us , even across the border .we had a big night out yesterday and how the moshpit is swaying when the Toy Dolls come on it is something else
this was the first single I ever bought. It cost me £1.25.
Ironically my eldest son looks like the lead singer. Don't tell him.
Yeah, really dont
I hope he sees your comment then watch him pack his trunk ha ha ha ha
What did dad say about me?
Richard Pitwood was his mom a groupie?
Don´t feel bad mate! My first daughter is an elephant, even though we tell her that she´s a beautiful and slim rhino!!
I am so happy to relive this moment from the 80s. holy shite
