Thank you everyone for your comments! I really wasn't expecting this many so soon, and I was also surprised that they were all so positive! I'm going to make more, I think, and there are also a few tag videos that I've been wanting to do, so stay tuned! ;)

cont. when i am able to open up (usually when drunk) i have been told numerous times that i'm a cool person and that im funny and what not. I really don't know what im in for and its probably the anxiety that's making me hesitant. The thing i hate the most is when im at work and i get nervous, and i screw something up witch then makes me more nervous and then i screw up even more. I have been fire from several jobs because of that. (sigh)

(part 2) still thinking I would be going to grad school and I really needed that psych experience in order to be an eligible applicant, so that's mostly why I was able to force myself to do it. I'll probably talk about volunteering in my next video bc I have more to say about it!

Yeh, volunteering isn't too big of a deal to me as long as it's super structured and it's super clear to me what I'm supposed to be doing so that I'm never awkawrdly standing around doing nothing and looking dumb haha. I was volunteering at the clinc, lab, and crisis line back when I was

Aw thanks! It means a lot that you think I'm confident-- I'd much rather people think I look confident than tell me that I look anxious haha so thank you! Talking to the video camera on my laptop is wayyyyyy easier than talking to actual people. It's my dream to one day be able to come across this confident in public!

Im totally with you when you say you never knew you had social anxiety. From what i gathered about my life i have had social anxiety for most of my life, like 90% of it (im 25 now) so i wouldn't know what its like to be a man in his 20's with a clear conscience and anxiety free, witch is mind boggling but i have no regrets. I'm seriously thinking about starting an ssri for anxiety, it will be a real mind opener. I just hope they dont effect me to the point that i'm a completely different person

I’m still watching this. I have extreme social anxiety. I’m on 40 mg for the last four weeks is it still working for you?

You're very brave for making this video. Thanks for sharing your story. Subscribed! As a current medstudent, I'm always concerned when people start medication for what medical professionals and society think of as a 'disorder'. I urge you to ask your friends & family for feedback in your behavior changes while on your meds. Please closely monitor your body & mind & frequently check in with both your psychiatrist & your medical primary care provider so they can identify any potential serious side effects & modify or stop your treatment with a particular medication if the risks outweigh the benefits. You're doing great.

Thanks! I think I'm going to go ahead and continue vlogging -- I was surprised that got the response from viewers that I did! (I don't think that Freud was a fraud, but I know a lot of people do. On the surface his theories seem ridiculous but when you really get into them and study them in depth it's easy to see where he's coming from. I do think that all the major theorists had some problems with their theories though, so I think I understand where you're coming from.

Haha yeh I really don't like talking!! I have sooo many insecurities with talking--- I say like 5 words super fast and then I do this awkward pause thing and then I say 5 more words super fast and jumbled together. I don't like my voice either! I think it sounds like a 6 year old's! haha

Hey, Snowflake891000: Hello from NYC! You're obviously perceptive and intelligent. You figured out that a better video will require some planning before you start, an outline. Also, it occurs that the training for psychiatric nurses is quite rigorous and the experiences that you through will be good for your self-esteem. I think you've made a really good choice and I wish you all the best...
