Great movie. The Blonde guy is Hulk hogan which a famous wrestler . When Rocky was at his Lowest (during training with Apollo), he was suffering what is now known as form of PSTD. That's just a taste of what it can do to you. "We can be Defined by our Past, or we can suffocated by it."
Looking at Rocky's swollen left eye and bloodied face after the first round in the first fight with Clubber Lang, that is outstanding movie makeup work. The movie makeup team of this movie deserves credit.
I'm fairly certain that Rocky and Clubber's second fight is based on "The Rumble in the Jungle", a famous boxing match in the 1970's in what was then called Zaire. Much like Rocky and Clubber, it involved an older former heavyweight champion (Muhammed Ali) against a younger reigning champion (George Foreman), who was heavily favored to win. Much like Clubber here, Foreman was used to finishing fights quickly by overwhelming opponents with his incredible punching power, but Ali had a plan that came to be known as the "rope-a-dope". While Foreman was punching Ali, Ali spent most of his time resting his body against the ropes. This allowed the ropes to absorb the force of Foreman's punches and keep the fight going much longer than Foreman expected. When Foreman had finally grown tired from punching Ali, Ali finally unleashed a devastating counterattack that Foreman was too tired to defend against, and won the match. One key, difference here, is that, unlike Rocky and Clubber, Ali and Foreman eventually became friends, like Rocky and Apollo.
Cool story that’s been told to many reactors on this. Mr. T’s mom did not like seeing her son play the bad guy and see how his character treated Adrian. And he never played a bad guy ever again.

Rocky was using the "rope and dope" on clubber lang which was created by the greatest boxer of all time muhanmed ali when he fought boxing legend george forman in africa in 1974
This is my favorite rocky movie because of Clubber Lang (Mr. T) He is my favorite character out of all the rocky movies. His dialogue in this movie was amazing. I love Mr T.
In the charity match, most of what the wrestler does would be illegal at a boxing match, but this was supposed to be an exhibition showing their different styles. He was showing what professional wrestling looks like. I'm speaking of the entertainment-based US version of wrestling, which is really more of an acrobatics performance than a competition. This movie was made at a time when a lot of the public were just becoming aware of how staged it was, and he's showing the resentment towards the growing sentiment that his sport is fake.
I swear Rocky and Adrian were the only people on earth that could put up with a character like Paulie no matter how immature he was. And what makes Sylvester Stallone such an amazing writer he actually gave us moments where we actually really cared for this difficult man that actually really had a deeper side that he didn't want to show because he was so insecure
This was the movie that propelled both Mr. T and Hulk Hogan to stardom. After Rocky III, Mr. T went to becoming a TV star with The A-Team; playing B.A. Baracus. Hulk Hogan was already a star in pro-wrestling, but this film would not only elevate his celebrity status, but also the sport of pro-wrestling. A year and a half after Rocky III, Hogan won the World Heavyweight Championship for the WWF (now known as WWE), giving birth to what he called “Hulkamania”. Then in 1985 Mr. T and Hogan would be a major part of the very first WrestleMania at Madison Square Garden.
Both this and 'First Blood' in 1982'. Sly's career was into overdrive. This was suppose to be the final chapter in the saga. Mr.T's introduction was golden and pretty much made his career legendary. Burgess Meredith (passed away in 1998) as Mickey for one last time was so heartbreaking. Rocky & Apollo's friendship was the best onscreen pairing and working together made them both champions.

You can really feel the power of Clubber Lang's last five punches on Rocky's head at the end of the first round of the first fight. You can also feel the pain of Rocky's suffering as well. Stallone acted convincingly in showing Rocky losing.
It wasn't in this video, but when Mr T says I pity the fool it's the only time he says it. Ask anyone about that phrase and they'll say The A Team, he never said it in a single episode.

Clubber Lang was an awesome "villain". He was the direct opposite to Rocky: Clubber respected absolutely no one. "Shut up old man" to Mickey. Disrespects Adrian. Constantly bad-mouthing Apollo. Interesting theory says that in Rocky II, the letter Apollo received stating "How much did you get to carry that bum for 15 rounds? You're a disgrace to your people" was written by Clubber. It would certanily explain why Clubber seemed to show even less respect for Apollo than for Rocky.
A awesome villain, indeed. He's a lone wolf, with a very dark personality. He trust nobody, fight only for himself and use angry as a motivation,to improve e become better and better. A stunning performance by Mr T
@@Saga-kz2ti one thing that really stands out about Clubber is in spite of his circumstances, in spite of his anger, he never cusses. "Shucks" seems out of character for most of the film, but I think it is telling about his true heart after he loses - instead of going off the deep end, he is seen sitting dejected, head in hands.
About the brief Muppet Show scene: the late Jim Henson, the original voice and puppeteer of Kermit the Frog, actually contributed a redub of Kermit's Muppet Show introduction. One of my favorite scenes is before the second fight. In the first fight Lang tells Rocky he's dead meat and Rocky is too scared to reply. In the rematch Lang says he's going to bust him up and Rocky looks steeled and says... "Go for it."
1. My favorite of the first 4 movies. Rocky IV is almost as good as this. 2. Where I lived had that pinball machine, as well as the Playboy machine, and I kicked the shit out of both of them. (Top 5 scores) 3. Rocky doesn't have defense. He beats you to hell with his face. 4. "Eye of the Tiger" was from a band called Survivor. Their other hit was "High on You". 5. The woman swooning over Rocky that Micky chases away was Sly's wife IRL. 6. Kudos to Mr. T for playing a character with no redeeming qualities. On a personal note: 😍
Thunderlipps was the Show-Wrestler Hulk Hogan. Clubber Lang is Mr. T, Acteur from the A-Team (series). Paulie Funnily enough, Paulie was SUPPOSEDLY a real boxer himself, unlike Stallone. Rocky 5 features the definitely real heavyweight boxer Tommy Morrison (RIP). Rocky 3 and 4 is more action and Rocky 5, back to the roots (Some don't like him that much, I do and undervalued in appearance and personally find him better than Rocky Balboa/Rocky 6, but a matter of taste, especially since he's his age but clearly noted, is no wonder and Rocky 5 more families and boxer drama and back to the roots, so not according to the motto: Higher, faster further, like Rocky 3 and 4, also has something :), but it probably disappointed many who were expecting something different. In Rocky 5 there is also an overbearing manager, which shows the pedant of a real boxing manager in the USA, who, by the way, is a bad guy, but often presents himself as harmless and a bit like a clown, which he is not. Also a black man and liked to have hair that stuck up in the air with setting lotion, bleached it a bit, liked to hold several country flags in his hands and wave them around. I also have a kind of documentary where his former protégé Mike Tyson also has his say. Here: This Was NEVER Public! They NEVER Showed This On TV! Each film reflects a point in Stallone’s career. Rocky 1 was his first big break against the odds. Rocky 2 is what showed that Rocky/Stallone wasn’t a flash in the pan. Rocky 3 is when Stallone transitions from the serious dramas/movies he made in his early career to the campy/testosterone/adrenaline action heroes he became known for. And what’s even amazing, rocky 1-3 (and counting the future ones you haven’t watched yet) ARENT bad; they are all memorable in their own, all except prob rocky v can be considered as classics. This DOZNT happen for film franchises. Star Wars/Star Trek: Harry Potter/ and god knows other franchises become stale or hit continuous roadblocks. But rocky defied the odds
Characters like Hulk Hogan (blondie from the first fight) and Mister T (the main antagonist) were major celebrities back in the 80s. They were wrestlers, not boxers. The WWF was more about spectacle and entertainment than rules. It's funny, the way the wrestlers posture themselves, its more like a telenovela with testosterone. Especially with the behind the scenes drama lol.
I didn't see this video in my recommendations right away, but now that I'm watching it, I see you want to get to 15K views, right now it's at 51k. Congrats!
22:55 And here, we come to one key question. I mean Rocky didn't train properly, but he did _train._ And _in_ that training, he had the guidance of a _pro._ It would've been nice if he had been a little more dedicated about _following_ all of it, but he did _have_ it. Up to this point, he was confident in his _fighting_ skills and his physical _condition,_ so he was in a good _head_ space. And Clubber Lang, while what Mickey recognized as a _wrecking_ machine, _hadn't_ had the guidance of a professional trainer. So up to this point, while I think it's fair to say that Rocky was due for a lesson in humility, he had the prospects for doing a good job of _representing_ himself in the ring once he _received_ it. But now, he's seen Mickey experience _medical_ complications. He's thinking about just how _old_ his trainer and friend is. He's in the _wrong_ head space. So now, we have to wonder, could _this_ be what killed Rocky's chances?
I got so sick of Eye of the Tiger because that was the song in high school that we played in marching band every morning practicing then every week going onto the field for football games for 4 years. Luckily as the years went by I can appreciate it again.
34:47 they really do. Rocky 4 (my favorite) literally changed my life physically. Rocky Balboa (Rocky 6) changed my life mentally. Like I said before the movies get better and better (I did not like 5 although a lot of people did)...and you find out who won that fight way later in the series.
Omg. Your reaction to Clubber (Mr T) was great. Almost made me spit water out my nose. Lol. Now you’ve gotta do part IV. Don’t bother with 5. Rocky Balboa is also good as a continuation as is Creed I

By the way, you look amazing as always
Movies like this brings out every moment out of her. Her own emotions keep pouring out.
40:52 her recognizing Tony Burton's genius and cheesy acting makes this the best Rocky 3 reaction hands down.
One of my favorite scenes is before the second fight. In the first fight Lang tells Rocky he's dead meat and Rocky is too scared to reply. In the rematch Lang says he's going to bust him up and Rocky looks steeled and says...
"Go for it."
You the icon, not the sequel. I really dig your honesty and energy. Makes me love the movies all over again. Thank you again. Can't wait for more
Rocky 3 is awesome Vanessa cool video 👍🆒💪👊
1. My favorite of the first 4 movies. Rocky IV is almost as good as this.
2. Where I lived had that pinball machine, as well as the Playboy machine, and I kicked the shit out of both of them. (Top 5 scores)
3:51.. Best scene in the movie..those dance moves ..with a Santa beard on..priceless..thank you Mickey
The fight against thunderlips was an exhibition. His real name is hulk Hogan, a professional wrestler in the 80s 90s and 2000s. Very famous too.
Love your work ethic for real. That movie pallet ad says it all. Keep grinding 💪🏿

Great job, another perfect reaction and flawless performance!! 🏆🙌 You wasted no time, jumping right into Rocky III. That is really good, it keeps your memory fresh and the drive alive. You will get the 15K in no time at all. I can't wait until you watch Rocky IV. Keep up the great work, Enjoy 🥊
Paulie: why are they carrying him, Mick "He's walking!!!"
The girl that asked for a kiss while he was training, was Sylvester's first real wife. Fun fact
I've only caught a few of your reactions so far, but you don't strike me as the crying type.
Please do part four. I love your reactions to Rocky. You are the best
Stallone even said part 3 was about him staying hungry after he became famous because he didn't want to lose his edge
"Existential crisis!" Yeah, you hit the nail right on the head!
Good video. I love your enthusiasm and I've learned many Spanish swear words 🤣😁
😂😅😅
The greatest message we can take from an amazing reaction like this is; we all deserve the best❤
Congrats!
i don't know how many reactors i've seen miss the how much do you think he eats joke. i love that you caught it
22:55 And here, we come to one key question.
26:54 Oh, god. 😥 This scene tears me _up._
I got so sick of Eye of the Tiger because that was the song in high school that we played in marching band every morning practicing then every week going onto the field for football games for 4 years. Luckily as the years went by I can appreciate it again.
Tremendous reaction and analysis Vanessa! Your enthusiasm is infectious. I look forward to seeing your reaction to Rocky 4!
On condition it reaches 15k views cub scout
34:47 they really do. Rocky 4 (my favorite) literally changed my life physically. Rocky Balboa (Rocky 6) changed my life mentally. Like I said before the movies get better and better (I did not like 5 although a lot of people did)...and you find out who won that fight way later in the series.
And mr-t (A-team)
Just a tip, if you would've acknowledged Mr. T's iconic performance as the charismatic Clubber Lang, you would've get even more likes.
Omg. Your reaction to Clubber (Mr T) was great. Almost made me spit water out my nose. Lol. Now you’ve gotta do part IV. Don’t bother with 5. Rocky Balboa is also good as a continuation as is Creed I
So when rocky needed a job, Pauly hooked him up, twice. Pauly set Rocky up with Adrian. So yeah, Rocky does owe him.
I love this girl, cool as hell
The guy in the charity match is hulk hogan
Vanessa every time you cry it makes me cry you are the cutest thing ever
Bless your heart when you say that we all deserve the best. We all need this reminder everyday❤
