I have a 2009 e93 335i....space gray...same Dakota gray interior...same car!! I'm 2 years into it. MHD stage 2+ with FBO, xhp stage 3. Had 78k on the clock when I picked it up 2 years ago. Love. This. Car. Even though it's sitting in the garage with a waterpump that went out 2 weeks ago. 😳.....a waterpump that has ~23k miles on it as it was replaced about 1k miles before I bought the car. Frustrating, but I still love it for now.
You gotta get that fcp euro water pump! Lifetime warranty! I love this platform but it definitely takes work. I’m glad to have everything done. Not much else that can go wrong on mine…knock on wood 🤣
@@JonIbrahim ......EVERYTHING I buy is from FCP euro!! Free plugs, coils....oil changes....pads and rotors...EVERYTHING! The waterpump kit was ordered last week and should be here soon! You can not beat their lifetime warranty. Free oil changes after the 1st one!!?? Who does that! LOL. The turbos were replaced on my car @58k miles by BMW of Winterpark. It had index 12 injectors installed at the same time. I shopped for 6 months, coast to coast, before I found my car. Several PPI's saved me from bad cars.
@@JonIbrahim ....and just so you know....the 2 biggest upgrades for me were my XHP stage 3 tune and the M3 control arms. If I had to do it all over again I'd have done those 2 things 1st. Completely changed the dynamics of the car! You're going to love that thing when it's running "cluster light" free! I changed everything, just like you, as soon as I got it home. All preventative. All coolant hoses....the coolant reservoir.....the power steering reservoir....the "mickey mouse" fitting....everything I didn't have a record of being replaced for was done. This waterpump only lasted 23k miles and that's disappointing as heck. The airbag light came on the day before the waterpump went and it's a module under the passenger seat. Even when they're sorted they don't stay that way for long. Enjoy it while it lasts!!
@@JonIbrahim .....when I got the car I couldn't stand how it shifted in the normal D mode and always drove in manual mode or sport. It basically makes the transmission shift like a DCT. The shifts are lighteningly quick......rev matching on downshifts......it's dropped close to half a second off the 0-60. Normal D mode is now fantastic. Sports mode is crazy. It was the last mod I did because I didn't think it was going to make such a discernable difference. I'm telling you....it's a game changer and it's worth every bit of the ~ $300 it cost me. There's more to it then all of that too though. You can adjust the shift points and line loads on the clutches and so much more.
When Jon says he appreciates all who comment he really means it. He hasn't ignored a single comment I've posted, especially if it's about bitcoins :). Joni, how you've been lately? Cars seems to be the only thing on your mind lately. Let me guess, you gonna start into the car flipping business soon as well?

@@ferrynpalmer3875 can you tell me more about xhp? I’ve heard about it but why is it such a crucial mod for you?

Nope. I buy bitcoin and real estate for income and I work on cars for pleasure.
