  • A section of rail between Gore and Charlton went through a sleeper replacement program late last year.
    After a period of settling, the Track Tamper & Regulator crew came through to realign the track, so the temporary speed restrictions could be lifted.
    The track must have been out of alignment, as it took three passes of the Tamper & Regulator until the alignment was satisfactory.

      Yes. Was also the first time the siding in Gore had been used in a while.

    Interesting to see it in action, I only saw it in the sidings when I recorded 931 and 932 the day before you filmed this.

      Yes there are certainly a interesting piece of kit, & the fact that they are continuously moving. I remember years ago seeing the ballast cleaner working down here. I'm unsure if i have seen one down here since.
