my 91' f150 screeches every turn of the wheels, its really great when people already stare at an old hunk o' truck and then have the sweet sweet opportunity to hear ford engineering.
I just found out about your channel and the content is just great! I like the jokes in between the science! This channel sure will do great, just give it some time!!
Thanks buddy! I’m glad you found me and that your here! No promises that it’ll always be funny or useful videos though - and the refunds department has notoriously shitty attitudes, so beware…
It wouldn’t be an old Ford if it didn’t have a whiny power steering pump. The pump in my 75 F150 used to scream bloody murder when it got hot. I flushed it twice with Type F and while it still makes some noise it’s a lot quieter than it used to be.
@gregorymalchuk272 well I'm sorry for your transmission having that problem,,,, my old truck has been okay with the fluid,,,of course not All transmission s use the same fluid,, different brands use different additives in their specified fluids that could cause the mushy seals,,,I have seen malco additive cause the fluid to turn to jelly like substance,,, off course I don't recommend any additives that is not factory recommended,,,, I tried the brake fluid in my power steering pump to quieten the power valve in it and it's been doing great for year's now,,, good luck.

I thought it was very interesting to learn that Fortune 500 companies also use an ‘06 Tahoe as their mascot. Now I feel a little bit smarter today.
It’s a pretty low key fact, so I understand if you’ve never seen it before. “The more you know”
Can you put the old fluid back in see if the noise returns? That's really the only way to see what the cause was.
Yes! I just gotta get it outta the catch pan….. oh….
I've tried Lucas additive, a new pump, lines, and rack. No air in the system. Still noisy AF.
You sir, deserve a Saginaw pump swap! I’ve had “rebuilt” pumps from the parts stores be louder than the pump I took off haha. Just a noisy design imo
Mercron?
The Ford power steering pump tends to trap air, causing buzzing.
Gotta bleed these babies - or swap to a Saginaw. Honestly that’s the easiest way to quiet them down haha
The lucas worked for me.
My volkswagen just says "use hydraulic oil" 🤷🏻♂️
Two oz's of brake fluid,,,,it works
The seals will dissolve into mush if you do that. I've seen that "trick" destroy automatic transmissions.
