Okay everybody! If a disabled American veteran is putting together a package to send to this young British couple… what is your excuse? We need to flood James and Millie with fun and exciting packages! Come on people!!

Just bear in mind, guys, that the US is 40 TIMES BIGGER than the UK, and the US population is FIVE TIMES bigger than the UK's population. With so much more room and so many more people coming from so many different geographic and historical areas, you get a LOT OF VARIETY. That doesn't mean that the US is better; it just has more opportunities for these reasons. I think the UK is GREAT, and it is the very first place in all the world that I hope to visit someday! Love you guys!
In the US, we have "Seasonal Aisles" and can find cards, candy, gifts, etc for the latest event (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas, etc). It is a bit overkill for me, but every store has it.
The problem is that the seasonal aisle appears WAY too early!! In some stores the Christmas aisle is set up the day after Halloween and the Easter candy comes out before Valentine’s Day has even arrived!!
Once, years ago stuck in blighty, we made S’mores with Cadbury’s Milk, melted together then roasted mini-marshmallows, and Digestives. No one complained.
You two are so adorable and entertaining. You have such pure spirits. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Your enthusiasm over the different things we have in the US is endearing. We sometimes take for granted how lucky we are to have such variety.
YES Millie - our stores usually always have "SPECIAL aisles" for the current or upcoming "holiday" - For EXAMPLE: at Halloween time, there is an aisle in the grocery stores (and others that have variety of things at their store - EX: Wal-Mart; Target; etc.) that have all the various kinds of candy that people would be giving out for the Trick or Treaters. MANY times, there are even special aisles that are just Valentine treats (M&M's; Lindor; Hersey's; etc.) and yet ANOTHER aisle that are just candy and treats that have all the other kinds of those same companies treats. It is really fun when you can go to a particular aisle for "Holiday" candy and treats and yet ANOTHER aisle to get the "usual" products from THAT company. - Hope I explained that so you can understand what I mean - PEACE !!
You are so right Millie, watching the videos makes me feel like I am sharing something I really like with a friend and when you ask for comments I just have to throw in my 2 cents worth and even if you don't ask for comments I give them anyway. Just recently figured that out.
Enough people mentioned the Hershey bars are for the s'mores, so here is my tip: catch the marshmallows on fire until brown a little. The sugar caramelizes on the outside and they are extra gooey on the inside. When camping, we wittle sticks and put the marshmallows on them to toast, but a regular skewer works too.
Duncan Hines is a very popular brand in the States for all kinds of pre-made "mixes". That Hershey's chocolate goes with the Smore's. How do you like your marshmallow cooked. I like mine completely burnt (charred) on the outside and placed on the chocolate in the graham cracker.
I prefer my S'mores marshmallows browned all over so they melt (especially the jumbo size) but love eating the charred ones fresh off the fire!! I think the normal bite sized are best for charring so you can just stuff it in your mouth since you sometimes lose the charred shell trying to get it off the stick hahaha :) But I like marshmallows in any state of being haha ;)

Millie... YES!! most of our stores, grocery stores, Walmart, Target, etc.. will have an entire aisle that is just stuffed with candy and other treats that have special holiday packaging. So for something like Valentine's Day you can find a lot of "normal" candy and treats that have "special" packaging, with hearts, flowers, cupids. Around Halloween, you would of course find packaging with jack-o-lanterns, skeletons, witches, ghosts, etc.. Christmas packaging has snowmen, Santa Klaus, elves, ribbon, Christmas Tree balls and stars, etc. Sometimes you can even find special holiday flavors, for example around Halloween - Thanksgiving you will find a lot of pumpkin flavored stuff that isn't usually around the rest of the year. Eggnog flavored stuff is often only out during the Winter Holiday season.
You Two have become Legend. Great Job. Gives this American Pride to see the Love for our Nation. Us Americans Need to realize what was Given up to get these Pleasures we sometimes take for granite. 😁❤
I really love watching the two of you! Millie, you are correct; America does have seasonal goodies. I never get bored with your TH-cam videos. You both have such infectious personalities; I just adore the two of you. If you ever get the chance to visit Arizona, USA, hit me up!
A lot of candy makers in the USA traditionally package their products with "Valentine's Day" (or Easter, Christmas) themes weeks before the holidays even arrive. Many stores in America set up sections dedicated to whatever holiday happens to be coming around and this is often done a month or more in advance, however themed items aren't necessarily restricted to any one area of a store. I saw "Easter" baskets, candies and cards in my local stores as early as mid February, and Easter doesn't arrive until April. These themed candies & packages last until "sold out", sometimes weeks after the specific holiday passes. This is typically a national phenomenon, not restricted to Arizona or any one state. ;-) Peace.
We do have holiday sections..where candies etc are set in a special area in the store and you would find all the things for such holiday..St Patrick's Day, Easter, Valentine's day, 4th of July, Fall, sometimes spring gets mixed with Easter and Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Sometimes New year's too.
Yup, we have a Seasonal section where you can get candy and treats, toys gifts and all kinds for each season. It’s 3/08 right now, at every grocery store there is a section of Easter AND St.Patricks Day stuff. So, Hersheys products, Dove, Lindor, Cadbury, etc., package products and have season shaped products too. Reeces Peanut Butter Cups has Easter Egg shaped cups packaged for Easter, Shamrocks for St. Patty’s, and so on. They make TONS of money. Moms like to gift their little ones seasonal themed goodies to help celebrate and get in the spirit. Coffee shops, pizza places also come out with seasonal drinks and seasonal pizzas and stuff. It’s very big here.
Yes, Millie. You are correct. Specific Valentine's Day candy, chocolate, gifts, flowers, teddy bears, etc....Easter, St. Patrick's Day, Mother's Day, Sweetest Day and of course Halloween and Christmas. Any excuse for candy/ chocolate- we're ON IT!!
Yes, we have a Celebrate department in most stores here in the US. They have cards for every season, foldable movie scenes, balloons, pinatas, noise makers, wrapping paper, etc. Surprisingly and not surprisingly, food related to various different holidays is on a certain aisle in the food department. This includes Valentine's Day related stuff like chocolate heart boxes.
Beesley and Millie, I noticed the strawberry bark you got in the mail is from Ghiradellis Chocolates which is from San Francisco. If you guys like the Ghiradeiili, I will send you some more of the bark plus some their other chocolates and also their hot cocoa powder mix and their mix for baking chocolate baked goods! I love Ghiaradelli, they have so many wonderful sweet goods! BTW. Payday bars are awesome! Payday is my favorite candy every! Both the regular Payday and the chocolate payday!
Walmart in the USA has usually 2 seasonal sections or holiday sections. Most candy and cupcake companies make holiday theme stuff. They even have pancake, cake mixes, icing, cereal and more for all holidays
We have almond M&Ms too. They used to make mint ones for Christmas, but not sure if they still do. Original S'mores are Honey Maid graham crackers (break in half for 2 crackers above and 2 below the "sandwich"), followed by plain Hershey bar --broken to fit the graham crackers -- about square, and 1-2 toasted marshmallows. Prep the crackers and chocolate, so they're ready to help you slide the marshmallow off your sticks or metal toasting forks. Smash a bit and eat immediately. Have a napkin or plate handy!
It was so much fun to watch the two of you unboxing all of the American goodies. I hope you are eating healthily between all of the delicious snacks and candy!😂 Your reactions are priceless for all of the things we Americans take for granted, such as the enormous selections we have on a daily basis. I hope you enjoy eating your treats as much as I enjoy watching you.💕

I have to say that Millie gets me teary eyed when she cries during our national anthem being played. I'm not sure if you have ever heard the song "God Bless The U.S.A." or not but it is one that makes me emotional. Keep up the great work!!
There’s special flavors that are seasonal around holidays. Different ones for thanksgiving, Christmas and valentines, and forth of July. They’re mostly different flavors for different holidays but some are show up for all the holidays. They use these holiday promotions to determine how well they’re sold.
Home made sloppy joe from a Girl Scout Cookbook from the 1960's. Ground a pound of ground beef with a small diced onion. Drain grease by tilting pan and spooning it out. Add 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup water, 1 tablespoon yellow mustard, 1 tablespoon white vinegar, 1-2 tablespoons brown sugar. Stir. Cover and occasionally stir on low, and let he water evaporate a bit. Serve on hamburger buns with potato chips and a sour pickle (if you can find them.)I have so many good recipes that are easy.

Walmart in the USA has usually 2 seasonal sections or holiday sections. Most candy and cupcake companies make holiday theme stuff. They even have pancake, cake mixes, icing, cereal and more for all holidays
Way to go Gary. I love watching you two.
Love you guys from NEW JERSEY, USA!!!
You love America 🇺🇸America loves you. You deserve snacks for days 😋.
You brits are and will always be our brothers and sisters from across the pond.
It was so much fun to watch the two of you unboxing all of the American goodies. I hope you are eating healthily between all of the delicious snacks and candy!😂 Your reactions are priceless for all of the things we Americans take for granted, such as the enormous selections we have on a daily basis. I hope you enjoy eating your treats as much as I enjoy watching you.💕
Most candy companies do package things in Holiday designs. Love your videos here in Michigan!
Hello from central Florida! Just wanted to say hello and tell you how much I enjoy watching your videos. I have to say that Millie gets me teary eyed when she cries during our national anthem being played. I'm not sure if you have ever heard the song "God Bless The U.S.A." or not but it is one that makes me emotional. Keep up the great work!!
Use the Hershey chocolate with the smores

You guys are great 👍 I always enjoy spending time with you. From Oklahoma USA 🇺🇸.
You have to try the Smore's with a Reese's peanut butter cup instead of the chocolate.
Millie doesn't like peanutbutter.
@@markw3598 I know, that is really too bad because peanut butter is soo good.
It is a big fellas. I love you Millie and James.
There’s special flavors that are seasonal around holidays. Different ones for thanksgiving, Christmas and valentines, and forth of July. They’re mostly different flavors for different holidays but some are show up for all the holidays. They use these holiday promotions to determine how well they’re sold.
You guys are so sweet. Love watching your reactions ! Greetings from Louisiana, USA

Yes, pink and hearts for Valentines day. Green and shamrocks for St. Patrick's day. Orange and brown for Halloween, among others.
