- I decided to make Warhammer better by making a tank drive with full first person view camera on board. The tank can be driven remotely from another room using the camera to see where you're going. This definitely made warhammer 10000 x better for me, I love painting but I don't play with them and now I can finally play with them!!

I've seen a Land Raider RC before, ive seen someone use an actual RV car as an ork vehicle, and I've even seen someone dress up their toddler as an Emperor class Titan to walk around the table before... But this is some very well done nerd work

This isn't the first remote control Rhino I've seen, but it is the first one with working treads, so that makes it better.
You might be able to use larger servos if you place them 90° to the drive sprockets by using ring and pinion gears (the ring gears should attach directly to the drive sprockets and the pinion gears directly to the servos)...I just got to the part where I saw you are painting in accordance with the blueberries. Forget everything I typed earlier.

I dont play warhammer or building any models, but there is somethings about it seeing how talented people like you bringing this box of pieces to life . I could never paint models like this.
Hmmm... I think I can do that! Lemme see, I just need to...
• get a 3D printer
• learn how to use a soldering iron
• learn how to put electronics together
• buy and learn how to code PCB's
• buy and learn how to use remote controls
• buy all the paints, airbrushes and materials, learn how to use them and paint the tank just like the box art
• learn Warhammer 40K rules (and the lore, why not?)
• make friends who also like WH40K

The Rhino! The quintessential metal box! It has reached perfection.
I love modifications and conversions like this. A friend of mine loves to slap LEDs into his vehicles and other big models. His Imperial Knight is incredibly cool looking with everything lighting up and I think he's gonna love the idea of an RC tank or two in his army.

This is as fun as the Bluetooth speaker built in the Dirge Caster/Warp Amp tanks I seen for a Chaos Space Marines Slaaneshi Emperors Children Noise Marines army! I'd say for remote control on a tank a Land Raider seems fun too
one of those things ive heard MANY people say that "someone should do this" and never actually see someone do it.
Using the VR display, this is something I'd love to do! set out all your miniatures then drive around and it would feel like actually bing there!

My wife has been trying to figure out how to get working treads on her Sororitas tanks for months. I can't believe we never considered just... making the sides wider. Brilliant. Great video.
Yea. I didn’t know how at first but then I just said screw it making it wider and gonna try gluing plastic card to it and see what happens. It’s not as perfect as I would want. There’s an extra shape added on the edges. But it still works and looks alright to be honest.
As is my habit, the word box shall contain words. While I do not play with little, tiny robot men, I do applaud your latest creation. Bravo!

honestly, having a kit to buy to put it on any rhino would be a dope 3rd party accesory for 40k, maybe doing even more tanks in the IG, and chaos too

Literally one of the best Warhammer video I’ve ever watched
This is super awesome! I've been toying with the idea of creating bases with microcontrollers and servos that can pair with an app to track and position all of your miniature's moves and actions straight from an app and also use AR to generate interactive battle reports with all the pieces tracked turn by turn. Would anyone be interested in a proof of concept that might lead to a kickstarter?

When the title says the RC made it better for Warhammer, I honestly expected to see you programmed the thing to make exact and precise movements so no one argues if you did or didn't nudge it an extra inch.

you can modify regular analogue servos into motors by disconnecting the little trim pot from the geartriain (make sure its set to the neutral position before re-assembly)
