Harrelson and Danson really beat the TV actor odds to a tremendous degree. Danson with several post-Cheers series that went for multiple seasons and Harrelson achieving that rare thing: a TV actor who successfully transitioned into a lasting movie career.

Some of the TV casting directors really can pick talent.
4 actors from Cheers have had notable careers. Ted and Woody, of course. Kelsey has done well, and Ratzenberger, as a voice actor in feature films.
You're right, Woody being a movie star is a rare transition.
Honestly, I would not have picked him for it. I had no idea how much range he had.

They've both had insane careers that, for people like me born after Cheers, they're post-Cheers careers overshadow it because they are that spectacular.
As Conan mentions, No Country for Old Men. Woody was also in The Thin Red Line, his TV work in True Detective, his part in the Hunger Games. Man can play anything he wants.
Ted Danson is simply one of the best comedic actors since Leslie Neilson, he can switch the straight and funny parts at will. The Good Place is a masterpiece of modern comedy and he holds it together. The way he plays himself in Curb is the best other than Larry himself.

Natural Born Killers was a goddamned mindfuck. It was the first movie that gave me nightmares.

"He's like a killer" ---> ouch. bit of a faux pas there. Woody does an awkward freeze for a moment when he says that.

I love how Sona is honestly rofling. If laughter can really prolong life, than she will outlive Conan's mummified body :)

Rofl means rolling on the floor laughing. At no point was Sona rolling on the floor. Learn what words mean, it matters.

You see Harrelson's right hand / wrist, he had an accident on the way to coming to this interview... apparently Danson came to his Aid and wrapped Woody's hand / wrist, that is why it looks so unprofessional.

Crormac McCarthy is a great author. I dont doubt that the dialog from the book might have been better. I was disappointed by the last episode of Cheers so I wrote my own. In my fantasy episode the whole show would just be a regular episode with the usual antics however, in the beginning a long haired kid with a back pack comes in, sits at the bar and orders a beer. At some point he takes out a notebook and starts writing. At closing, Danson says to the kid, "Sorry, but it's closing and this is our last night I'm Sam Malone by the way. The kid says "That's too bad. I'm Les, Les Charles." My wife and I are friends with Zora Charles's brother and his wife. My wife went to college with her. I think my ending would be fun because it would lead to speculation that Cheers was a real place that Les, the creator of Cheers, had discovered.

Both are under-rated actors. Danson on Damages was riveting. Woody in everything is always watchable.
