Totally agree. Unfortunately I also partook in the playing of the games under the covers. It's so interesting to think that once I wanted to play games even at the expense of my sleep, while now it's quite the opposite.
BRO THIS WAS SO GOOD GIMME MORE CONTENT, but actually though I'm almost through high school by now and its crazy, the 3DS has sort of become my comfort console as well as a place to revisit old favorites like Alpha Sapphire, right now I'm replaying through the whole yo-kai watch series and I'm loving it. Great video. Subscribed and home to see more. I’m 41 and grew up on Gameboy DMG. Love the 3DS. And I will say I love using the 3D feature. NN3ds regular with dual IPs screens is the definitive way to play IMO. It’s my favorite handheld. Just above the Gameboy DMG.
I can relate too your affection, even if i whould'nt put this as one of my top 10 favorites, still it holds a special place in my heart. And personally speaking it introduced me to the smash bros series, which then led me to become a nintendo nerd, which then let me being the biggest gamer in high school, i was and still is extroverted irl and whould garintee bring over a console i choosed whould fit my friend groups tastes. So the 3ds really shaped me too, and thank you for making this for us fans :D

What irritates me is two of the best 3ds themes, the Pokemon Gold and Silver gym leaders theme and the Zelda anniversary theme, were only available for a limited amount of time. Yet there are so many junk themes you can still pay money for.

It's been a journey. It started with that first light blue 3ds model. I fear it may be time to port the data to an emulator. No longer getting any tags. The last blue light was about another feature biting the dust. I just came across an Amazon listing of the exact model I have where they are scalping at a price of over $1,000. It's a sad ending for a great handheld. Nintendo has been notorious for shadow killing previous gen hardware.
I remember growing up with the DS then getting the 3Ds and I had it all the way up to the switch but recently bought the new 3Ds XL and I’m so glad I did I missed the huge library
i rarely comment, but i thought i should. i was maybe around 8 or 9 when the 3ds came out, originally i wanted a dsi, but my aunt bought me the 3ds, and honestly it was a perfect mistake. when i got my 3ds as a present, ocarina of time 3d came with it, since the guy in gamestop recommended it to my aunt, that was technically the first game i played. that's i fell in love with the 3ds, and the zelda series. of course my child mind was TERRIFIED of ocarina of time, and i didn't really beat the game until recently, and i would've shit my pants if i got morjars mask, but the 3ds really and still does, means a lot for me. later down the road i got other games, super mario 3d land, mario kart 7, tomodachi life, etc, and i was first introduced to animal crossing new leaf, it was 2015 when i got that game, a few years after it first came out, because my parents were too poor to afford games at that time, but the amount of comfort that it brought to me is unimaginable, its still is one of my favorite 3ds games of many. now i'm 18, almost 19 in October, and i still play till this day, i have a lot of nostalgia for the 3ds, even though i only own two versions of the consoles, the og 3ds, and the new 2ds, i will still cherish the times i had with this little box, and will still continue to do so. if anyone read all of that, thank you, i appreciate it so much, it'll mean a lot. :^)

It’s actually not come and gone. The system is more capable than ever now. Many gamers will use this system for years to come. It’s a daily player for me.
What a cool deepdive into the console that was simultaneously great and bad at the same time. The "true" 3ds - the n3DS - came too late for most people to get (back) on the wagon, and thus mainly was an upgrade for existing 3DS-owners rather than being the handheld that gets you hooked as a new player. The other problem was the slow launch regarding games, it took a bit to get adiverse library on the 3ds. For me personally my 3ds journey started with the n3DS - the original 3DS just felt to gimmicky to me and had too many flaws to justify a buying decision. ------ Constructive criticism: Please speak faster, the 1,25x speed safed this video for me.
Thanks for the criticism, and I think I agree with you on the talking speed. I'm trying to go for a video format where I'm more so laid back and relaxed about things, but I also don't want to be too slow or drawn out in my speech. Unfortunately the video I'm currently working has already had all of the audio recorded, so that will be something I heavily remind myself of next time. Again, thank you so much for the critique. Having someone directly give suggestions on how to make my content more enjoyable is crucial for my growth as a content creator.
If you mod the 3ds you can install "Rverse" which is a replacement miiverse. It's got the same ui as the original miiverse just being ran on private servers. It's pretty funny going into the pokemon groups and seeing dudes drawing among us porn in the replies.
the best thing i've done to my 3ds lately was hacking it. Now i dont need to care about closing e shop, dont need to care about high prices of rare, used games. now I can have fun with all this great games :))
Besides the Boom games, I say Sonic's life on the 3ds was actually pretty good. I think you're just being a bit too harsh on the Blue Blur. Heck. Even Fire and Ice was pretty decent and got alright reviews when it came out.

Like Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Generations 3ds for example? Calling yourself a fan is different than actually being one. Maybe you are a fan of Sonic, but from what I've seen in this video, you sound like you use to play the games when you were little and nothing else. In comparison to the DS, Sonic's life on the 3ds wasn't that grand. But it was still pretty good with games like Gens 3ds, Fire and Ice, Lost World 3ds, and the Olympic Games just to name a few (which there were lol). Outside of a couple of stinkers, Sonic had some gems on the 3ds.

I have also played most of the other 3ds games and still come to the conclusion with my opinion being that they flawed in many ways. I do still consider myself a fan of the series, and my ability to critique over the years has not detracted my love of the character, it’s just changed from what it once was. I plan on playing more Sonic games in the future, both games I’ve already played and games I haven’t had the chance to. Again, maybe me and my opinions will make a video about Sonic Adventure 2 or Sonic Generations for the 3DS one day. All I can do for now is take your criticism and apply in future videos. Again, if I end up doing a video on Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric, I may very well be able to explain myself on how I fit into the fandom of this series. It reminds me of the Rush games and it gave me Time Attack mode and Online Races (a feature that I think all Sonic games should have). However, I like 3ds a lil more because of the special stages, more content in difficulty, and ofc online modes like Race and VS. I could go on with the others but I think you can dig it lol. I'm personally a fan of Sonic games from 1991-2010 mostly. The games past Colors DS imo just dropped from meh to terrible with only a few exceptions. I try not to be bias with Sonic, but the 2010s and onwards just wasn't feeling it right for me. Yeah. Like I said: I'm not here to make an argument or start a fight here.
